“Dan and Claire did a great job watching Cooper. I could tell from all the pictures they shared while we were on vacation that Cooper was content, busy, and having a great time. I could see him enjoying the company of all the dogs there as well. Thank you so much!”

“Vinata & Mahadevan is by far our first choice when we need a dog sitter. We have used their service on a occasion where we had a last moment planning for vacation where our puppy couldn’t join us. During that time, they kept Coco so happy and allowed him to be himself and explore play and fun with other 3 paw buddies he made over there. During the entire trip they stayed in communication with us on a regular basis by sending pictures, videos and texts on WhatsApp and trust me they took out all the stress of leaving our puppy behind. Above all, we know them through some of our close friends who have enjoyed their services as well in the past and for us they are is super trustworthy which is very essential and besides that our dogs love them now. We would honestly be happy to recommend them for all your requests on Rover. Last but not the least, you can count on them because they themselves have been paw parents since decades and their kid has grown with them who showers the puppies with snuggles, cuddles and playtime. Looks like our COCO has found a new holiday home, and we hope this review helps other paw parents too !!! Thanks a lot Vinata, Mahadevan and Anandi !”

“Cheri is great with Vinnie! I never have to worry when I’m out of town that Vinnie is safe and enjoying his time with her family! I love the updates she provides and the love/attention Vinnie receives.”

“I am very thankful for Tanuja for taking my Lucy on a last minute request to board. She was so flexible and very accomodating and it was a very pleasant dealing with her. On the day of boarding she will give constant updates, she will send plenty of pictures (great pics of Lucy together with their cute dog Mochi). Her husband Kumar helps her out with the doggies and they treat your dog like their own. They are not only great dog sitters but also really nice persons. I will definitely have them take care of my Lucy if the need arises . I would highly recommend Tanuja and Kumar (plus Mochi) to take care of your fur baby.”

“She is really awesome! It is my first experience and my dog needed boarding immediately because of my business travel. but she responded very quickly even if I requested about 7am. It was very appreciated. She also has a dog and cat. They were very nice to him.( Thank you guys!) Her house condition was good enough for boarding dog. Clean and organized. I am so happy to find perfect place at once. I think I am lucky.”

About: Hi, my name is Kayla and here is a little bit about me! I am a senior at Oakland University studying human resource management and currently work part time as an HR intern. Alongside, I used to head coach for Lake Orion's dance team! Some hobbies of mine include going for long walks, cooking, working out, or spending time with friends and family. I am looking for a part time job I can do on the days I don't work at my internship. I would be happy to help in anyway possible! I have 4 years of experience with pet care. I have pet sat for an 11 yo golden retriever and a 2 yo husky mix. I grew up with two chihuahuas and my family now currently has two siamese kittens that are 3 years old! I just recently got an apartment in Rochester and unfortunately no longer live with my cats, which has me missing being around and taking care of animals! I can board, perform baths, take for walks, play time, bathroom care, and assist with proper feeding schedules. As it is summer, I am not currently in school. I currently work part time as an intern at an automotive supplier. As interns are not able to be full time and I just recently got an apartment in Rochester, I am looking for another job I can do on the side. I love animals, love going for walks and working out, and currently miss my pets I had back home before I moved out. I felt like this would be the perfect opportunity for me! My schedule is free any other time that I am not working, which is flexible and most of the time remote. I also get an hour lunch at work that I am able to leave the office if need be. I am willing to communicate and work something out if need be for any reason! I have a very outgoing, fun, and playful personality with pets! They will feel very welcomed and safe in my space. I do not have any pets at my apartment currently so they, and you do not need to worry about that. My apartment has a really great dog park at it, as well as many great areas to walk and play! Rochester is perfect for having a pet. I also have a very clean and tidy apartment perfect for a pet to spend time at if needed!

“Noom and Lawerence were great hosts and Wrigley had a great time. They were very supportive and accommodating and more than happy to give Wrigley her daily eye drops. They also had a great space for Wrigley to run and play with their dog Leo. I’m certain Wrigley would be happy to go back.”

“Dellisa did a wonderful job taking care of our 7month old lab/pit mixed puppy. She communicated very well and esponded to questions quickly. She was also very polite and kind. We recommend her to anyone!”

“Always such a pleasure to work with Casey and Jonah. Both provide quick responses, keep me updated on how my pup is doing, and clearly love taking care of dogs. I rest assured knowing my pup is in safe hands.”
“Kshama was very nice my dog seemed very happy upon return. While we were out of town she sent many great photos of Sam and was in clear communication daily. This booking was actually the perfect fit for our senior dog Sam as well as her sweet dog, Zeus. Our dog Sam had previously been attacked by a larger dog on leash before and became more aggressive and on edge. So I was a little nervous to have them meet but her dog was so gentle, gave space and really matched my dogs (calmer) energy level. Sam enjoyed the socialization even in the fenced in backyard with the dogs next door I saw from the photos lol. We will definitely book again in the future :-)!”

“Linda watched my pup on such short notice (2 days after initial contact!) and she made our meet and greet a priority by adjusting her schedule. While Obie was there, she ensured that he was happy, healthy and comfortable; Linda sent pictures and cute narrations of them! We will definitely be booking with Linda in the future!”

“Marielle did a great job with our dog. She even made an effort to make his food tastier since he was nervous at first and not eating much. Her care and concern were appreciated. Communication was very good too.”

“Lindsay is the BEST!! She takes care and enjoys our pup like she’s her own!! Love dropping her off, she’s hesitant to leave and exhausted when we get home! 💕”

“Alexis is the absolute BEST! She watched our two dogs for 2 weeks while we were away for our wedding. We were so at ease knowing they were in such good care. Our dogs had the best time at Alexis’ and were actually sad to leave. Thanks so much, Alexis! Finn and Soph will definitely be back!”

“Joshua watched Stella for 4 nights. He took wonderful care of her. We had a great experience. He sent daily updates and gave us such peace of mind during my daughter’s wedding week. Reliable, communicative and trust worthy, I truly appreciate all his help and would highly recommend him.”

My cats can’t be in the same room, and Kurt was able to easily accommodate. My boy cat is also very shy and scared of people. But he let Kurt pet him immediately and even would lie next to him and climb on him. My mom took care of this cat for a week and still isn’t allowed to pet him. Kurt has a way with cats. He also gave me access to a web cam so I could check on my baby boy. Was super helpful when I was missing him. Kurt also provided regular pictures and updates.

Andrea took very good care of my dog Sadie. Treated Sadie like she was her own fur baby. Sent photos every day to show how happy Sadie was and how things were going. I would definitely recommend Andrea as a pet sitter for your fur baby. I plan to use her again in the near future.

If we could give Mary 6 stars, we would! Our dog truly looked like she was living her best life at Mary’s house. She sent so many fun pictures and updates throughout the weekend, putting our mind at ease. She even took our girl on multiple walks to get her energy out and she came home soooo happy! So glad we found Mary, she is incredible!

Hongjun was incredibly friendly and made us feel at ease right away. She sent us lots of photos during our dog’s stay, which really reassured us. In the photos, our dog looked so relaxed and comfortable — it was clear that she was cared for like a family member. Our dog is quite picky and preparing her meals can be a bit of a hassle, but Hongjun handled everything so thoughtfully, which we truly appreciated. On top of that, her husband is a great animal photographer and even gifted us a wonderful photo of our dog! We would absolutely love to ask them again in the future. Highly recommended!

You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
