“We would definitely recommend! I really appreciated the communication we received during booking and later the communication + photos we received during Charlie’s overnight stay. It helped us feel reassured he was in good hands. In all the pics he seemed like he was having a great time. Drop off and pick up was also very smooth. I’ll definitely book again in the future when we need help with dog sitting.”

About: Hi! I’m 30 years old and I’ve been around dogs my whole life. I grew up in a house full of dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities—my mom always had rescues and mixed breeds, so I’m very comfortable with different temperaments and energy levels. Today, I have my own adopted 16 lb mixed-breed dog, and caring for him has only deepened my love and experience with dogs. I’m confident handling puppies and energetic dogs, and I truly enjoy walks, playtime, and giving them attention and care. For safety reasons, I prefer not to work with dogs that are overly aggressive or difficult to manage. My experience is focused entirely on dogs, so I’m not the best fit for cats or other types of pets. I’m available to foster small dogs in my apartment. I work from home and I’m able to walk him/her 3/4 times a day. I’m also available for drop-in visits between 6 AM–8 AM and anytime after 5 PM. I live in an apartment with a fenced area, which is great for safe outdoor time. I’m also happy to take your dog on walks outside around the neighborhood. I can feed, play with, and walk your dog, making sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, and care while you’re away.
About: To be completely honest, our home operates on a strict policy of maximum fun and zero boredom. My Belgian Shepherd is are high-energy, Olympic-level players, meaning your fur baby will always have a partner for zoomies, tug-of-war, or aggressive backyard scouting. For the Energetic Pups We run, jump, and play until they forget what a couch even looks like. & If your dog prefers to just watch the chaos from a comfortable distance, they will be showered with endless belly rubs, ear scratches, and VIP treatment ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Whether they are here for daycare or an overnight boarding sleepover, I promise to treat your dog like absolute royalty (and send you plenty of goofy photo updates to prove it). Book a stay and let the fun begin! ❤️ I'll have plenty of time to play with your pups! I'm available for boarding on weekends, and weekdays. Summer times the balcony door stays open so theyre free to come in and out. I have a fenced yard and two friendly dogs to keep your fur baby company. I can crate your dog with frequent potty breaks per your request, just inform me before hand.
“Dellisa was great - she was wonderfully communicative and our dogs were well cared for. Plus, when we hit a snafu in our travel plans, she worked with us to figure out the right solution. Would definitely recommend!”
“I had a great experience with this sitter! He was very easy to work with, communicated clearly, and sent me daily updates that gave me total peace of mind. Most importantly, he was wonderful with my dogs. They were happy and well cared for when I got back. Highly recommend and will definitely book again!”

“Margaret was absolutely wonderful and I would highly recommend her if you’re looking for someone to watch your dog. She watched my dog and my parents dog who both can be anxious however you could tell they were not anxious at all with Margaret. They got to play in the fenced back yard and got to hang out with Margaret all day. If your looking for a dog sitter don’t hesitate to use Margaret!!!”

“Couldn’t be happier with the care my little girl gets when she’s with Laura and Joe! Love the updates and pics and they treat her like one of their own! Highly recommend!!!!”

About: I love dogs all my life and experienced with daily feeding routines, leash walking, potty breaks, and basic supervision. I take dogs on 3–4 leashed walks per day and closely monitor their comfort, behavior, and safety. I am a full time staying home mom so I have plenty of times to take care of your dogs. I want to make a schedule at least 5 days earlier. Calm, clean house with a yard (not fenced). Dogs are always supervised and taken on 3–4 leashed walks daily. I accept small, medium dogs only and host one guest at a time, alongside my friendly Cavapoochon Taco.
“Ilona watched our dog at her house for a week. We are extremely happy with the care and love she and her family provided our pup and highly recommend her if you are looking for a dog sitter. I felt like they treated him like he was a member of their family and gave him so much love and attention. Ilona sent lots of pictures and videos and asked a few questions when she wasn’t sure of Jimmy’s routine. Jimmy came home happy and relaxed and knowing a few new tricks! Thank you guys so much!!!”

“Mack had a great time with April and her family. Pictures were sent each day that put smiles on our faces. Mack totally enjoyed his new canine friends, Ginger and Piper and is looking forward to a return visit. We will definitely be using April again! I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a great place for their furry friend.”
“Misty did a great job watching our dog! She was flexible and responsive to drop off and pick up times, gave frequent updates, and genuinely seems to enjoy and care about animals. Judging by the pleasant smell of our dog at pickup, I think Misty even gave our dog a bath. Will be booking with Misty again in the future!”

“Briana is definitely comfortable taking care of dogs. This was the first time ever to leave my puppy with a "stranger" and other dogs. My energetic puppy instantly warmed up to Briana's small dog and Briana was so calm and helped my puppy quickly become comfortable with her bigger dog. My puppy had SO MUCH FUN at Briana's with her fun dogs and huge backyard (an Australian Shepherd's dream yard). I was and would be totally comfortable leaving my baby at her home!”

“Tory was fantastic! This was the first time dropping Primo off with a stranger and he was as nervous as I was during the drop lol. Tory sent many pics and I could tell his mood got more and more playful the longer he stayed there. I liked seeing him playing tag with other dogs. Towards the end Tory informed me that I miscalculated his food and he didn't have enough for his last day. Thankfully she let me know with enough time, so I could end our Michigan camping trip a little early and rush over to get him. Her house was also very clean and organized, which helped put me at ease, as primo likes to get into rubbish If it's everywhere. I'm now considering Tory for our next trip, instead of relying on my friends and coworkers. It was worth every penny.”

“Sogol was a wonderful sitter for our scaredy cat, Topanga. She made sure to give Topanga her own quiet space and spent lots of time with her while she acclimated to her new surroundings. She sent lots of videos and pictures throughout her stay. We are so happy we opted for Sogol, Topanga had a great time!”

“Katarina was SO great. We booked her last minute for our 11 year old cockapoo and she was absolutely lovely. Super responsive, adorable home, & put Ozzy at ease. She sent photos and updates and we will 100% use her again. 10/10”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Lake Orion
Karen took such great care of our boy Wallace for 10 days and I frankly can't wait to bring him back in the future! Her yard has a full privacy fence and it lush and massive, perfect for dogs who love being outside. It's clear from her pictures that Wallace had his own great vacation and felt at home with her and her kids home from college. She took care of him like her own by adding area rugs to make him feel more confident on the wood floor, by adjusting his eating situation to make him comfortable, and by being so kind as to let him hog her bed :) would not hesitate to recommend Karen! Thank you for making our time away from him worry free!

Our dog had a great time with Andrea and Tyler. We were very grateful for all of the pictures and videos knowing she was having a good time and was safe. It was our first time using Rover and Andrea and Tyler and now we know we have someone we can trust with our dog again in the future!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
