“Amanda is wonderful! Kept in regular communication, and she sent regular updated with pictures and videos which we appreciated. Our dog was welcomed into her pack without any issues. Thanks Amanda!”

“Tory is always so great with my dog!! She provides pictures each day and gives updates on how my dog has been doing! After this last stay my dog was sad to leave. He always enjoys going to stay with Tory! Thank you!”

“She is really awesome! It is my first experience and my dog needed boarding immediately because of my business travel. but she responded very quickly even if I requested about 7am. It was very appreciated. She also has a dog and cat. They were very nice to him.( Thank you guys!) Her house condition was good enough for boarding dog. Clean and organized. I am so happy to find perfect place at once. I think I am lucky.”

“I cannot express in words how incredible of an experience we had with Brittany. Our original sitter fell through very last minute and Brittany was more than willing to accommodate a two week stay for our pup. Not only is her home environment perfect for a dog; lots of physical activity, snuggles, love, low stress, daily obedience training, etc., but it is also the expertise and confidence Brittany provides that makes for an ideal situation. She knows temperaments of breeds through her years of training and uses her knowledge to create a controlled, safe and fun experience. The daily pictures and updates gave us a worry-free vacation and we absolutely loved seeing the fun our guy was having. The pick up/drop off option is also a game-changing bonus! Seeing Brittany get a little teary-eyed saying goodbye to Clarence was complete confirmation of the genuine love she has for dogs. Clarence now has a beautiful second family for when we are gone, and we are forever grateful!”

“Grant is a great guy. He treated my dog as if he was his own. Grant is reliable, trustworthy and goes above and beyond. My dog adores him and that means everything to me. It is apparent from the moment you see him interact with your dog that it is not just a business to him, it is his love.”

“We have brought our puppy Sam Several time to Thea and he always can’t wait to get out of the car to see her. He comes back happy and we so appreciate the sense that Sam is reared like he was her own!”

“They were great!! They were flexible about drop off and pickup, sent great updates and pictures, and are just really nice people. Their dog was also a fun bundle of energy who just wants to play!!!”

Playing is a great way to establish trust and blow off steam, and I try to capture that on camera as much as possible. I am an outdoor enthusiasts, and when I lived out West I regularly offered "adventure" packages for dogs who benefitted from extended hikes. My own dog Velma is famous on the lake for being my paddleboard companion! I would love the opportunity to work with elderly or disabled animals, and am competent administering medications. It would be my pleasure to get to know your dog, cat, chicken, shrimp, goat, bird, hamster, and any other critters in your family! Feel free to contact me for references and resume. “April was absolutely wonderful! First off, she's an incredibly sweet and nice person. Second, she was able to accommodate a last minute boarding for my puppy who had just gotten spayed. Her dogs also made sure to become friends with mine, which Daisy definitely needs. I will most likely be booking with April again!”

“This was my first time ever boarding a dog and it was a fantastic experience. I was worried about finding someone I could trust to treat my dog well, but Silver went above and beyond. She sent daily updates along with pictures of my dog, who always looked like he was having a blast. Would definitely recommend them!”

About: Erica and I have always loved & had dogs in our homes ever since we were kids. They were family, & we look forward to treating yours like family too. We have a very flexible with my schedule. We enjoy playing nerf dog, frisbie and fetch with the dogs during the day, and spending restful quiet time with them during the evenings. We have a nice sized fenced in backyard for them to play in, as well as a nice indoor sunroom that I have turned into a doggy indoor play area.
“Ashley was a life savior. Found out last minute I needed to be gone for the weekend and she answered my needs quickly and even put up with me running behind on schedule. My dog loved her time with her and her dogs…10/10 !”

“Eunju was very caring for my senior dog Lemon and gave her TLC. She provided photos and updates and was understanding and accommodating. Lemon was in good spirits and very relaxed when we picked her up. I hope that Eunju will be available in the future to care for Lemon. Thank you, Eunju.”

“Laura and Joe took care of our two older dogs for a week while we drove a couple of hours to have a vacation. We knew from our visit with them that Laura would be caring and attentive, but she really did go above and beyond! We received multiple updates and photos and videos daily. Even more impressive was how well Laura handled a behavioral problem that arose with one of our dogs. I had forgotten that he once had this problem with us -six years ago when we got him - and when it popped up again, Laura dealt with it so well! She even purchased something that we thought would help, after messaging with me about the issue. Laura’s care and confidence saved our vacation, when a less experienced sitter might have asked us to return and pick up our dog. The problem resolved and our dogs had a wonderful stay with Laura and Joe. We have always used a kennel in the past. It is a small one and the dogs are out playing much of the day. Last time, things did not go well there for our 13 year-old dog. We tried Rover to find someone who would provide both a safe setting and special care for our dogs. We got this with Laura, for sure!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Lake Orion
I had a great experience with Joonghyun while I was away for a week. He took excellent care of my dogs, walked them twice a day, and kept me updated with plenty of pictures and reports throughout my trip. He was very kind, reliable, and easygoing, which made the whole experience stress-free. It gave me peace of mind knowing my dogs were in good hands. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy dog sitter.
Our dog had a great time with Andrea and Tyler. We were very grateful for all of the pictures and videos knowing she was having a good time and was safe. It was our first time using Rover and Andrea and Tyler and now we know we have someone we can trust with our dog again in the future!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
