“Dellisa watched our dog overnight and he enjoyed his playtime in her big fenced in yard. We appreciate you keeping our dog with such short notice. We will definitely look forward to booking again.”

“Archie loved his stay with Thea! I sent a request on a short notice but Thea was very nice and accepted to watch our dog. She sent us cute pictures and updated us on how Archie was doing. He had a blast I know it! Thank you Thea! I will be sure to book again once we need another sitter! I definitely recommend Thea! :) :)”

“Margaret is the perfect temporary dog mom. Zouzou didn't lack anything, while being away from home. Zouzou is my 'special needs' furbaby, she is fear reactive, but Margaret's soft, calm, demeanor, was a perfect fit. Zouzou never showed any signs of stress, and Margaret worked with her like a professional dog lover and trainer.”

“April was very caring and did an outstanding job of taking care of my dog. I truly appreciated her taking the time to send me updates, pictures, and a video on how my dog was doing. I will certainly be booking dog care services with April in the future!”

“If I could give 10 STARS I would!!! Coryn and her husband went above and beyond when caring for my baby Georgie! Georgie was a rescue that we found in a dumpster, he was treated horribly, very emancipated with severe conjunctivitis that required surgery in both eyes! Therefore I am very selective with whom I l eave him with! Coryn was the PERFECT CHOICE! I cannot thank you enough, every picture she sent me. I could tell how comfortable he was, with zero anxiety. He had a wonderful time, which made my vacation stress free, knowing that my baby was being taking excellent care of! Thank you again! ❤️❤️❤️”

About: Hi! I’m 30 years old and I’ve been around dogs my whole life. I grew up in a house full of dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities—my mom always had rescues and mixed breeds, so I’m very comfortable with different temperaments and energy levels. Today, I have my own adopted 16 lb mixed-breed dog, and caring for him has only deepened my love and experience with dogs. I’m confident handling puppies and energetic dogs, and I truly enjoy walks, playtime, and giving them attention and care. For safety reasons, I prefer not to work with dogs that are overly aggressive or difficult to manage. My experience is focused entirely on dogs, so I’m not the best fit for cats or other types of pets. I’m available to foster small dogs in my apartment. I work from home and I’m able to walk him/her 3/4 times a day. I’m also available for drop-in visits between 6 AM–8 AM and anytime after 5 PM. I live in an apartment with a fenced area, which is great for safe outdoor time. I’m also happy to take your dog on walks outside around the neighborhood. I can feed, play with, and walk your dog, making sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, and care while you’re away.
About: I am a Michigan transplant and an animal person with years of experience, including as petsitter, aquarist, veterinarian technician, field scientist, and farmer. I’ve worked with all creatures great and small, and am uniquely qualified to take care of your fish tank, farm animals, and exotic pets. I am also an avid organic gardener and I love to grow my own food. I own a quaint cottage home with a fully fenced yard. All animals are allowed on the furniture so that they can indulge in the comfort they deserve. I love taking quirky puppy pics in beautiful places while on hikes and adventures. Playing is a great way to establish trust and blow off steam, and I try to capture that on camera as much as possible. I am an outdoor enthusiasts, and when I lived out West I regularly offered "adventure" packages for dogs who benefitted from extended hikes. My own dog Velma is famous on the lake for being my paddleboard companion! I would love the opportunity to work with elderly or disabled animals, and am competent administering medications. It would be my pleasure to get to know your dog, cat, chicken, shrimp, goat, bird, hamster, and any other critters in your family! Feel free to contact me for references and resume. Animal - and seasonally, garden - services are my fulltime occupation, so the care of your furry family member is my top priority. Because I work for myself, I am able to adjust my schedule as needed to accommodate my clients' needs. When staying at a client's home, my practice is to leave it cleaner than when I arrived. I value my clients' trust as one of my greatest assets, and can ensure that your home and property will be respected at all times.
“Anne went above and beyond for my GiGi! It was so nice to have peace of mind while on vacation. She kept my fur baby three nights and followed all instructions on her care. This was GiGi's first time staying with anyone away from her home and Anne was certainly the best choice. Her sweet Ethel was the perfect companion to GiGi, who doesn't like a lot of activity. We are very pleased with our Rover experience and absolutely recommend Anne to care for your pet!”
“Misty did a great job watching our dog! She was flexible and responsive to drop off and pick up times, gave frequent updates, and genuinely seems to enjoy and care about animals. Judging by the pleasant smell of our dog at pickup, I think Misty even gave our dog a bath. Will be booking with Misty again in the future!”

“Katarina was SO great. We booked her last minute for our 11 year old cockapoo and she was absolutely lovely. Super responsive, adorable home, & put Ozzy at ease. She sent photos and updates and we will 100% use her again. 10/10”
“Briana is definitely comfortable taking care of dogs. This was the first time ever to leave my puppy with a "stranger" and other dogs. My energetic puppy instantly warmed up to Briana's small dog and Briana was so calm and helped my puppy quickly become comfortable with her bigger dog. My puppy had SO MUCH FUN at Briana's with her fun dogs and huge backyard (an Australian Shepherd's dream yard). I was and would be totally comfortable leaving my baby at her home!”

“Carolina was absolutely amazing with Dixie. From the moment we connected, I felt at ease knowing my dog would be in caring and capable hands. She sent regular updates, photos, and gave so much love and attention to my Dixie —it was clear she genuinely care about dogs. I came home to a happy, well-cared-for dogs and a tidy space. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely be booking with Carolina again!”

“Emil was a great host for Hugo. He quickly made Hugo feel at home, and his house and yard are great locations for visiting pups. His dog Barkley was very chill and welcomed Hugo as well.. Emil was very good at communication and flexible when my timing changed a bit. We will definitely keep Emil and Barkley on our list for future stays.”

“Sogol was a wonderful sitter for our scaredy cat, Topanga. She made sure to give Topanga her own quiet space and spent lots of time with her while she acclimated to her new surroundings. She sent lots of videos and pictures throughout her stay. We are so happy we opted for Sogol, Topanga had a great time!”

“Tory was fantastic. She provided daily updates. She took on our dog last minute. Clean, safe beautiful space. She responds almost immediately to messages. Absolutely fantastic.”

“Bradley took wonderful care of our dog and was a lifesaver. We were going out of town for a week, and had planned to board Sherri at a kennel, however after a horrible evaluation day at the kennel we decided that it just wouldn't work. She was miserable and scared the whole five hours she was there. So we started looking for other options. We found Bradley and after a meet and greet with Sherri, concluded that it could work. What a great experience it turned out to be. Sherri was very at ease with him and the other dog he was watching. Bradley sent a daily update and picture, and told us that Sherri was chill and just lounged around during the day. For reference, when we have previously left Sherri with a friend for a weekend, she's been anxious and refused to eat. We are planning to rebook with Bradley for our next vacation.”

“I was very lucky when I found Ilona S to care for my small pup, Lula. The original plan was that Lula would be able to join me at the VRBO my Family had rented so it was quite a surprise to find out that the property owners would not welcome any animals. So, the hunt began to find a space where she would be safe and welcomed. After speaking with Ilona S, I felt comfortable enough to book Luna's stay. And as soon as we arrived at her home, I knew we had made the best possible choice. Such a warm, friendly person. I met her Family and was impressed at how charming the house was decorated for the Fall season. Clean, tidy and festive! I received daily photos, video clips and texts about Lula's activity. All communications were clear. I would absolutely recommend Ilona S. for your board & care needs and will book her again should I require care for Lula. 5 Star Rating.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Orion Township
Lia and Jonathan were so nice and welcoming to offer to watch our Willow the yellow Lab! They have a large fenced yard with trails for daily walks that I’m sure Willow enjoyed even with their 18 month old son! They watched her in their home for 2 nights and when we picked Willow up she seemed content and happy. Thank you, Lia and Jonathan, for taking good care of Willow!!

Alexis was amazing! She was so loving and playful with our dogs, and this was one of the best dog-sitting experiences we’ve had. She sent us lots of pictures and updates, and we loved them all. I think our dogs were a little depressed when they came home because they missed her so much! 😊

Kseniia (and Troy) are always so accommodating and great with my dog. He’s a little quirky, and they are always willing to try different things to make him feel comfortable and cared for. Communication is excellent—they keep me updated and are very attentive. The last time he stayed with them, they let me know he had been shaking his head and thought he might have a bit of an ear infection. Sure enough, he did. I was so grateful they noticed and told me right away. It gives me real peace of mind knowing he is with people who genuinely care and pay attention. I highly recommend Kseniia.

Our dog had a great time with Andrea and Tyler. We were very grateful for all of the pictures and videos knowing she was having a good time and was safe. It was our first time using Rover and Andrea and Tyler and now we know we have someone we can trust with our dog again in the future!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
