“Carolina has a special talent — her ability to make an immediate connection with my cat, Sunny, which I believe must extend to all animals! Throughout the week of checking in and spending time with Sunny, Carolina communicated with me and sent pictures. Sunny likes a lot of attention and affection. I could tell Carolina was giving Sunny what he needed. This was confirmed because when I came home, Sunny fell right back into his routine with me (which doesn’t always happen). I will definitely, 💯, use Carolina again!”

“Molly was amazing! Both of my cats warmed up to her very quickly, and one of them is generally very skittish. Molly made sure they were fed, watered, cleaned up their litter box and gave them lots of love and attention. She gave me updates and photos with each visit. I will absolutely be booking with Molly again!”
“Evelyn was amazing! She is so very kind and gentle. She is also a fabulous artist. She drew an awesome picture of our cats. She captured not only what they looked like but their personalities. It was so considerate of her. I am framing it for my office!”

About: As a previous Assistant Manager at Pet Supplies Plus, I have a vast range of experience regarding animal care from dogs to ferrets to chameleons! Although Rover is something I’m looking to do on the side, pet care and education is something I’m very passionate about throughout my everyday career. Working at Leader Dog, I have gained the knowledge and experience to observe and assess a dogs mental state through body language and stress signals.
About: Growing up with a dog my whole life, I've picked up a lot when it comes to dog behavior, body language, and keeping to a routine, things you really can only learn from actually being around dogs. I'm patient, attentive, and take it seriously when someone trusts me with their pet. I'm comfortable with dogs of all sizes and energy levels, and I always make sure to follow each owner's instructions so their dog feels as comfortable as possible while they're away. Currently home for the summer from college, I have a flexible schedule working a part-time job with short hours. I am typically available most mornings and can adjust my schedule on a weekly basis to plan ahead for sitting jobs. I'm also happy to accommodate last-minute requests when my schedule allows. For dog walking, I keep your pup safe and engaged while sending updates along the way. For in-home sitting, I stick as closely as possible to your dog's normal routine so they stay comfortable. For drop-in visits, I make sure your dog gets the attention, care, and potty breaks they need so you can be away with peace of mind.

We are gone for a few hours a day while we do errands or go to an activity. We have a fully fenced yard and a wonderful neighborhood where your dog will love to go on walks! No other dogs are in the home!
About: My family and I are big dog lovers! I have a 7 yr old and a 3 year old, and am no stranger to cleaning up poop. I am extremely reliable and trustworthy. We are a young, active family who loves to spend as much time outdoors as we can. Dogs MUST be friendly with children. I always like to have a meet & greet, so that we both feel comfortable (your house or mine). I am willing to do multiple if you feel it is necessary. Whatever helps put your mind at ease. I always try to be as flexible as possible around your schedule. Your dog becomes apart of our family the second they walk in. I will send plenty of pictures and always give you updates on how he/she is doing. My family and I look forward to meeting you and your dog!
About: I am an experienced animal caregiver and dedicated animal love! Not only have I had pets my entire life; but I actually to went to college to learn more about them! My first Bachelor's degree is from Michigan State University and is in Animal Science and Biotechnology. My passion is loving and caring for others - especially those who cannot speak for themselves - like animals! I have experience working in a veterinary clinic as an assistant and receptionist, as well as experience working on a dairy farm and with a multitude of animals. I have the skill set to administer medications for pets that need it as well as care for ill or elderly pets as it occurs. I'm available to do drop-ins and walks on days when I am not working. I am ready to care for your pets as I care for mine! If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to message or call me! I live in the Oxford/Lake Orion area and work 3days/week at a local hospital. Nursing is my full time job but I still enjoy loving and caring for animals and pets. I try to make my personal and work schedule accommodate the care and beds of your pet. We have a fenced in yard with lots of grass and space for dogs to run around and play. Our home is a tri-level so comfortability with stairs as well as wood or carpet floors is helpful.
“We were so happy when we needed a drop in visit with very little advance notice. Sheila was able to do a quick meet and greet and then take care of our boys right on time. So grateful that it worked out ?”

About: I have had dogs my entire life. I grew up with them, I absolutely love all of them, and I know what they need! Ever since I got my drivers license I have been dog sitting for friends and their neighbors. My dogs are my world (Lil Chihuahua, Pomeranian, Border Collie, and Boxer) and I know other dog parents love their little ones just as much and want the best for them! With such unconditionally loving creatures, they deserve all the love all the time, because that is what they give to you! Some important details: I have cared for elderly dogs needing special medical attention, and young puppies needing extra attention during the day for bathroom breaks and can provide references for a few jobs.
About: Hey there! I'm a lifelong dog enthusiast with over two decades of hands-on experience in canine care. I grew up with dogs and have been taking care of others' pets since childhood. I have a 3 year old Retriever now who requires not only physical exercise but mental exercise as well (think doggy puzzles, sniffing games, training sessions, etc.). I understand the importance of a well-exercised and well-loved time for you pet and am committed to providing engaging activities that cater to these needs. My approach includes interactive play, positive training sessions, sensory games, and outdoor adventures, all designed to enrich your dog's life. My dog care services include house sitting, meal enrichment prep, basic training, puzzles/game time, baths, check-ins/outs, dog walking, and pretty much whatever else your dog needs! As a dog parent myself, I understand how much time and effort goes into making your pet's life special and the quality care that you want for them while you're away (or simply need a breather from every day life)! I work fully remote from home with a flexible schedule that allows me to live out my love of caring for dogs throughout the week! Potty breaks can be as frequent as every 0-2 hours as needed, and there will be multiple breaks throughout the day to play and run around. I have a very safe home for dogs, meaning, it’s puppy-proofed. There are not many things your dog can “get into” that they are not supposed to - raising a puppy in my home has taught me to anticipate things that could cause potential harm, fear, etc.! I have different sized crates and a large play pen that your dog is welcomed to use if you'd like. Some dogs love quiet time in the crate and some prefer to be out in the play pen or feel more comfortable free roaming -- whatever your dog requires, I'll try my best to accommodate! I have a fully fenced yard with lots of room to run and play. As always, I'm more than happy to provide FaceTimes, pictures, location tracking, whatever will make you feel the most confident that your pet is in great hands!
About: As a previous pet owner I know the depth of love all pet owners have for their four footed friends. Letting someone in to your home to care for your loved one is a matter of trust that I do not take lightly. Transparency and communication are a part of my service combined with a deep affection for dogs and cats. I have experience as a pet sitter and would be happy to provide references. I walk a minimum of three miles daily and would give your pooch 100% of my attention while they are in my care. Your instructions would be followed to the T! Let me provide the love and care for your pet when you are busy or away. A pet sitter should be a good fit for both parties. I will be honest if your pet might be more than I can handle, which would take A LOT! And I ask for the same in return. Your pets health and welfare are my priority.
About: I love taking care of dogs, I treat every dog like they are family. I will go the extra mile to make sure they are taken care of and they will never go home without a wagging tail. I have a huge nonfenced in yard ( but have a really long line for them to still play and run without leaving ) that they will spend plenty of time playing out back, along with getting a walk during their stay! Every dog is unique, so if there is any special care you would like to make sure your dog gets, I am more than willing to make sure your dog is taken care just the way you would! Dogs are more than welcome to cuddle up on any furniture they please to make sure they are comfortable, you are always welcome to bring their beds or whatever you want to insure your dog will be happy ! If your dog has any special care that is needed please let me know ahead of time so I can properly plan accordingly. I am a dog trainer, so if you have any questions regarding their behavior please let me know and we can talk it over! I work full time, I only go into office once or maybe twice a week if needed. If I know ahead of time what dates you will need I can plan on working from home during your dogs entire stay! I am up at 6am every morning, we go outside, go potty, then we eat breakfast and go for around a 1-2 mile walk every morning. We then come back in a take a rest for a little then we go outside and play until we get tired or until it starts to get dark outside. I’m my home, I have indoor cameras set up so if I ever do need to step away from my house they have 24/7 surveillance. I have baby-gates to keep dogs out of unwanted rooms. I also have multiple areas in the house for each dog to find their own safe space to rest. When we’re outside my dogs are on an invisible fence and I have a extremely long lead that your dog would be hooked up to to insure they still can play while being safe. I live on 1.17 acres and when playing doesn’t seem to be enough I love going on walks. I always have water everywhere inside and outside for the dogs to drink.
Orion Township dog parents share their Rover experiences
Tim took wonderful care of our dog, Honey, for 8 days with twice-daily visits, and truly went above and beyond. He spent extra time with her, treated her with so much kindness, and gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. When it snowed, he even shoveled our walk! An incredibly thoughtful gesture that says everything about the kind of person he is. We are so grateful for Tim and would trust him again without hesitation
