About: Hi! I’m a dependable and compassionate pet sitter with hands on experience caring for animals of all ages, sizes, and personalities. During high school, I worked at an animal hospital where I learned about animal behavior, handling techniques, and the importance of providing attentive, individualized care. In addition to my experience, I’ve cared for many dogs and cats through pet sitting and understand how important it is to keep pets comfortable, safe, and happy while their owners are away. Whether your dog is a playful puppy, a senior companion, or anything in between, I’m committed to treating them like family. Because I work from home, I have the flexibility to provide plenty of attention, companionship, potty breaks, playtime, and regular updates throughout the day. My goal is to give you peace of mind knowing your pet is receiving loving, reliable care in a safe environment. I work from home full-time, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to provide attentive, consistent care throughout the day. Because I’m home, your pet won’t be left alone for long periods and will receive plenty of companionship, potty breaks, playtime, meals, and attention. I can also easily accommodate your pet’s normal routine to help them feel comfortable while you’re away. I believe every pet deserves individualized care based on their personality and routine. I take the time to get to know each pet so they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Whether your pet enjoys walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply having someone nearby, I’ll make sure their needs are met. I follow all feeding schedules, administer medications if needed, keep litter boxes and living areas clean, and provide regular updates with photos so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I treat every pet as if they were my own.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs through personal pet-sitting and have developed a strong understanding of their daily needs, routines, and behaviors. I enjoy spending time with animals and am committed to making sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while their owners are away. Whether it’s walks, feeding, playtime, or simply providing companionship, I take pride in giving pets the same care and attention I would give my own! As an at-home college student, I have a pretty flexible schedule that allows me to provide reliable pet care throughout the week. I can accommodate feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and regular check-ins while ensuring pets receive all of my attention and affection. I can happily care for your furry companions any day of the week, Saturdays, and Sundays as well with plenty of room for sleepovers and weekly stays! I understand how important it is to trust somebody else with your pet, and I like to take that responsibility very seriously. I make sure to pay close attention to routines, behavior, and special instructions given to me by owners to ensure the best possible care. Communication is crucial so I enjoy sending updates by phone to clients so they know their pets are happy and well cared for. When going outside, dogs will be leashed for walks and supervised at all times!

Ashley has been amazing! She took care of our two cats while we were on vacation for 10 days. She came in every day, made sure their food bowls were full, filled water in ghe fountain, and took care of their litter box. The cats loved her and warmed up to her instantly, even Coco who is a shy kitten! Ashley spent an hour with them every day, playing and cuddling, and also sent us pictures. We were anxious of leaving them alone, but after the first set of pictures , we knew the kitties were in good hands. We could enjoy our holiday fully knowing the cats were well taken care of! Would love to have Ashley take care of our babies again ♥️

Samantha is the best! We recently had the pleasure of working with Samantha, and I cannot recommend her enough. Leaving our two senior dogs, Iggy and Pip, in someone else’s care in our home was a new approach as we previously boarded them at pet hotels. They both have specific needs—picky eating habits, unusual routines, and require a bit of extra TLC due to their age. But Samantha handled everything with such compassion, attention, and professionalism that we were instantly put at ease. From our first conversation, she made the effort to really understand who Iggy and Pip are—not just their care instructions, but their personalities, comforts, and quirks. She was patient with Pip’s mealtime drama (he gets sick of different foods regularly) and attentive to Iggy’s anxious moments too. They each have their own routine, and she respected those down to the smallest detail. Throughout our time away, Samantha kept us updated with thoughtful messages and photos, which made all the difference. We came home to two happy dogs who clearly felt safe and cared for in her presence. If you have pets who need a little extra attention or just want peace of mind knowing your dogs are in the best hands, Samantha is it. We’re so grateful to have found her—and so are Iggy and Pip.

About: As a stay-at-home mom and lifelong dog lover, I bring constant care, attention, and a calm, nurturing presence to every pup I walk or care for. I’m home full-time, so your dog will never be left alone or rushed. I specialize in gentle walks, giving extra patience to puppies and the special care seniors need. My kids start school, and I will be available from 8am-3pm M-F. I am available for evenings upon request just depending on my kids sports schedule. I’m also free Fridays 8-8pm and weekends too! In my home, pets get a calm, safe, and loving environment. I follow your pet’s routine as closely as possible. Meal times, walks, play, and downtime—to help them feel comfortable and secure. Madeline was absolutely wonderful! She did daily drop in visits and took amazing care of my cat while I was away. She was reliable, attentive, and clearly genuinely cared about my cat’s well being. I loved getting updates and knowing my cat was in such good hands. It gave me total peace of mind while I was gone. I came home to a happy, well cared for cat, which says everything. I would 100% recommend Madeline to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter, and I wouldn’t hesitate to book her again!!! :-)

About: Hey! I’m Hannah and I’m a sophomore in college. I absolutely adore animals. I’ve had dogs my whole life, and I’ve had a rescue cat for 5 years now. I am looking for some extra jobs to help me pay with my costly tuition. I walk my dog almost every day and would love to walk yours! I’d also love having some extra pets in my house sometimes! My dog gets along great with other animals, and my shy cat minds her own business. I have watched both cats and dogs before. I believe I am more than qualified and my love for animals is beyond a doubt. I hope you consider me to watch or walk your pets. Thank you so much !! :)

About: Taking care of your pet is my passion. I can teach your dog some new tricks! I’ve been trained to tell when a dog is overheating, what to do during seizures and how to give your pets their medications. Because of the volume of bookings I’m currently only accepting long term stays. Has to be a minimum of 3 days. My schedule is wide open so every minute will be spend making sure your best friend gets the proper care it needs. I’m also available to pick pets up to and from vet visits. I will be there for your animal day or night. I can’t wait to meet your furry friend! Rover is my full time job so I have open availability! Your pet will have my full attention and love. Plenty of time for cuddles. At the moment I do not offer daycare, however if I stay in your home, I always make sure I leave it how I found it.

About: Hello! I’m experienced with boarding tasks (feeding, administering medications, etc.), basic training, and in-home pet care. While I can't host pets at my place, I love coming to yours for walks, backyard play sessions, and overnight stays. **Dogs:** Happy to tire them out with walks, play, and potty breaks. **Cats:** Patient and gentle — I'll take the time to earn their trust. Previously worked with a small pet care business visiting clients' homes, so I'm comfortable following your specific instructions and treating your space with respect. Your pet stays happy at home. You stay worry-free. It’s a win-win! I’m currently working part-time at a dog kennel so I’m usually working 2-3, 8 hour or 6 hour shifts a week. If asked about requests in advance, I may be able to request time off to accommodate client needs. I don’t have the room to board dogs or cats in my current situation, however I am very experienced with boarding tasks and basic training. I absolutely love taking walks or just doing some play sessions in the backyard and enjoy getting kitties to warm up to me. I would mainly be looking for walks/play and potty visits, or pet sitting in the owner’s home.

About: Dog-walking and pet-sitting were some of my first jobs when I was a kid. I have 10+ years of experience caring for cats and dogs for friends, family, and neighbors. My family always had pets while I was growing up so caring for animals is something I feel comfortable about and truly enjoy doing! Aside from walking and checking in, I have also stayed and taken care of pets for longer periods of time. I own a 5 year old beagle and 9 year old cat myself! I am a recent college graduate and I currently only work part-time during the week so I have pretty flexible availability for scheduling. I am also available most weekends. I am a pet owner myself and I know that they are like family. I understand it can be hard for both you and your pet while away and I like to provide communication and updates through text and pictures. I have experience caring for sick pets as well as those that require medication/ extra assistance.

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and caring for them is something I genuinely enjoy. Right now I have four cats, two dogs, and two rabbits, so I’m used to taking care of multiple pets with different needs and personalities. One of my dogs is very old and has become blind and deaf, which has taught me a lot about patience, paying attention to details, and making sure pets feel safe and comfortable. Caring for him has given me experience working with animals that need a little extra support and attention. I also volunteered at a horse rescue and rehabilitation facility for a year, where I helped with feeding, grooming, cleaning stalls, and caring for horses. Working with horses taught me how to safely handle large animals, stay calm under pressure, and understand animal behavior. It gave me a lot of confidence and responsibility that I still use when caring for pets today. Besides my own animals, I’ve helped care for pets belonging to family, friends, and neighbors over the years. I’m comfortable with feeding schedules, walks, litter box cleaning, basic medications, playtime, and making sure pets get plenty of attention while their owners are away. I’m a 19-year-old college student currently on summer break and working part-time, so I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to pet care. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pets because I feel the same way about my own. My goal is always to make pets feel happy, comfortable, and loved while giving their owners peace of mind. ❤️ As a college student on summer break, I have a flexible schedule and plenty of availability outside of my part-time job. This allows me to dedicate time and attention to each pet’s needs, whether that means drop-in visits, walks, feeding, playtime, or simply providing companionship. I’m reliable, organized, and committed to making sure pets receive consistent, quality care. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their established routines as closely as possible to help their pets feel comfortable and secure. I provide fresh food and water, clean up after pets, ensure they get plenty of exercise, playtime, and attention, and carefully follow any special instructions. I also treat each home with respect and keep pet owners updated so they can have peace of mind while they’re away.

About: I have taken care of dogs ever since I was younger and I am a huge dog person! My family has always had dogs, we have two mastiffs right now, and I plan to have dogs for the rest of my life. I have been a sitter for many neighbors and extended family, and I worked at a dog boarder/daycare for three years. I’m currently working full time and am a full time grad student. I still regularly take care of others pets as needed. I am free during weekends. During the week, I can do morning, evening and night. I make sure they are fed, comfortable, and of course receiving attention. I give them plenty of time outside and pay attention to their needs. I also am able to break up a dog fight and check for any injuries.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Washington stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Washington choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Washington with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Washington. On Rover:

  • 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 99% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
