“Jo is incredible, and I feel so lucky to have found her. She takes such thoughtful, loving care of Jake every single visit. She plays with him, gives him tons of affection, and always makes sure he gets outside time to explore. I love that she even updates me on the things he forages in the backyard — it shows how closely she pays attention to him. She keeps his water fresh, gives him his ice‑cube snacks, and sends the cutest photo updates. I feel at ease knowing he’s with her. Thank you, Jo!”

“Carolina has a special talent — her ability to make an immediate connection with my cat, Sunny, which I believe must extend to all animals! Throughout the week of checking in and spending time with Sunny, Carolina communicated with me and sent pictures. Sunny likes a lot of attention and affection. I could tell Carolina was giving Sunny what he needed. This was confirmed because when I came home, Sunny fell right back into his routine with me (which doesn’t always happen). I will definitely, 💯, use Carolina again!”

“Alexandra took very good care of our dog Cleo. She was very communicative and sent lots of pictures. She also stayed to comfort Cleo when she had anxiety due to fireworks. I would definitely recommend Alexandra!”

“Scott goes the extra mile to make sure our skittish cat is well taken care of. She is afraid of everyone - but she has warmed up to Scott. I highly recommend Scott - he’s an excellent pet sitter!”

“Great job taking care of my fur babies. They definitely were in good hands! Love your creativity with their favorite toy pipe cleaners. Love it! Thank you thank you. See you in the future.”

About: I’ve been pet sitting since I was in high school and I am currently 29. I have had a few regular clients over the past ten years and am looking to get on Rover since several of my regular clients have sadly passed on. I have experience with older dogs and administering medication. I have 10+ years of experience with taking care of dogs. I have a hybrid job that allows me to work from home about 70% of the time. My weekends and evenings are also free. I would love to take care of your fur babies! Nothing sounds better to me than getting paid to take care of and love your dogs! I have an attention to detail that allows me to take care of your pets with the love and attention you would! I am able to stick to a schedule and accommodate any activities or needs that your dog has.
“Lily has helped us out three times now and we can’t say enough good things! She’s great with both of our dogs, takes tons of pictures, and is always letting us know how things are going throughout our trip! Lily is AMAZING!”

About: Since I was a young child, my family has had all sorts of pets ranging from birds to rabbits to dogs, all of whom I took care of and loved dearly. Since I was a teenager to present day, I've taken care of dogs, cats, fish, hamsters, and plants belonging to friends and family while they're away - sometimes just for the day and sometimes for extended periods of time. Responsibilities ranged from providing food and water, taking dogs out for walks, cleaning litterboxes, playing with pets, just being present with them and more. I have special experience with senior dogs as my own dog lived to be 15 with extensive health issues towards his later years that I managed successfully. I also have special recent experience with young kittens - I’ve adopted 3 kittens from the shelter and have raised and trained them since they were about 3-4 months old. I love animals with my whole heart and would love to pet-sit for you. With me, your beloved pets will be safe, loved, and very much cared for. Use promo code NASYAT42396 for $20 off your first booking with Rover! I've recently graduated and I work from home so my schedule is very flexible. We can schedule a time for me to drop in at any time during the day, multiple times a day if desired. I’m also available if you need someone to stay with your loved ones at your home to watch over and take good care of them. I take the responsibility of pet-sitting very seriously, making it my highest priority to ensure your beloved pets receive the best care and attention they deserve. I offer in-home pet care services, where I prioritize the well-being of your furry companions and ensure the utmost respect for your home, privacy, and personal belongings. Regrettably, my apartment's policies prevent me from boarding pets; however, I can provide multiple daily check-ins or even offer overnight stays at your residence for your peace of mind.

“Abby did an exceptional job with taking care of my boys. She was on time and communicated to me about how they were doing and sent photos too. I have already booked her for more visits and would like to continue to use her in the future.”

About: Hello! My name is Aiden. I'm a 20-year-old college student who has been pet-sitting since I was in high school. I have taken care of puppies and geriatric dogs and all ages in-between! I completed the Agriscience and Environmental Technologies course at Oakland Schools Technical Campus Northwest. The Animal Science track of the course taught me how to care of, groom, and manage the behavior of pets. I have taken care of a dog of my own since I was eight-years-old. His name is Bolt, and although he's gotten older and slowed down a bit since he was a puppy, he still has the most energy out of any 12-year-old dog I've ever seen! I'm currently on summer break from Michigan State University where I will be entering my final year as a Graphic Design Major in the fall. I have an internship with the USPBL on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, but I still am free after 4:00 on those days, and on any other day of the week (besides Saturday 3:00-5:30 for mass)! I am a very attentive caretaker and always make sure that pets are properly fed, played with, walked, and given any medication needed. I also always make sure to clean up any messes I or the pet create, and let you know if I noticed anything off about the pet's movement or behavior. Unfortunately I cannot have pets in my house due to my dog who is used to being an only child.
About: I’m a retired teacher with years of hands‑on experience caring for both dogs and cats. I’ve been a dog owner, and I currently share my home with three wonderful cats. I’ve volunteered walking dogs at the Humane Society, have helped with trap‑and‑release efforts for feral cats in my neighborhood, and have cared for the cats of various neighbors when they were out of town. I love animals, nature, and giving pets plenty of snuggles, companionship, and playtime. As a retired teacher, my schedule is very flexible. Pet care fits easily into my days, and I’m available for drop‑in visits throughout the week. Your pet’s well‑being is my top priority. I maintain a clean, safe environment and follow all instructions for feeding, medications, and routines. I’m experienced with both confident and shy animals and always move at their pace. You can count on me for reliable communication, gentle handling, and a peaceful, caring presence in your home. I am Red Cross certified in Pet First Aid.
About: Former doggy daycare attendant with 2+ years of experience caring for dogs of all sizes and personalities. I’m calm, attentive, and big on safety, routine, and communication. Your pet’s comfort and well-being always come first 🐾 I currently work part time starting up my own business, pet sitting is helping me fund my goals! I am available in mornings, and afternoons. 🐕 Experience with group play, feeding schedules, and medication support 🐕 Comfortable with high-energy, shy, senior, and reactive dogs 🐕 Strong understanding of canine body language and safety 🐕 Consistent updates and photos during visits
About: I'm experienced with dogs of all shapes, sizes, and ages, and as the pup parent to one who arrived from the rescue with severe separation anxiety, I know how important it can be to maintain a familiar and comfortable environment when a furry friend's family can't be around. I currently offer house sitting, drop-ins, and walks in the following communities: Auburn Hills, Macomb, Ray Township, Rochester, Rochester Hills, Romeo, Shelby Township, Sterling Heights, Utica, and Washington Township. I'm attentive and diligent in following any directions left for your pet's care, and more than happy to set aside time for scritches, head pats, and pup parent updates! What's more, my primary line of work allows me the freedom to work from anywhere with an internet connection, so there's no risk of being called away from house sitting for prolonged and unavoidable stretches. My primary work in TTRPGs is entirely online, mostly working evenings, so I tend to be pretty available during higher-demand times. Even if I'm on a work call, I have the flexibility to call a break in case of, say, urgent outside needs. First and foremost, I recognize that every pet will have different needs and expectations. I always do my best to maintain habits and environments as close to the pet's "normal" as possible, from meal times to outside habits and beyond. I firmly believe you searched up a Rover sitter instead of a high-traffic kennel for a reason, and I always aim for a standard of personalized care that reflects that intentionality.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs both large and small for 10 years for friends and family, both in their home and my own. Willing to walk, play, feed, water, administer basic medications or just provide companionship. Trustworthy, compassionate and reliable. I currently work Monday to Friday but have open availability all day on weekends as well as weekdays after 6pm. I have my own dog and cat as well. I do live in an apartment so would be limited to one dog in my home. I have a 24 pound Cavachon who is friendly with all dogs. I walk my dog multiple times a day and would give yours the same care. I also have a medium kennel if your dog requires that for short absences if that is an option. At a clients home I can play with the pet in a fenced yard or offer 30-60 minute walks multiple times a day. Will feed, play, clean up after pottying, and will give your pet plenty of love and pets!!
“Allison has truly been a life saver for me this past month after a family emergency lead to several last minute bookings to help me out with my pup! I'm forever grateful for her help and I 1000% would recommend her as reliable and trustworthy! Thanks again Allison!”

Rochester Hills dog parents share their Rover experiences
Tyler was great! He was very friendly, easy to work with, and did great with my pets. He was flexible when I scheduled a meet and greet before the visit, and my pets immediately liked him, which says a lot, in my opinion! We would definitely recommend him as a sitter for anyone in the area!

Stephanie did a great job watching our GSP. Pictures were sent every day and it was clear to see he was getting attention and great play time. There was no issues with the holiday making the trip away more relaxed. She was flexible and communicated well as she did what was needed with her schedule keeping our pups needs in mind. Would recommend her and will be rebooking for our next trip.

Rachel provided excellent care for my elderly mom's aging dog. She went above and beyond to make her comfortable. Rachel's effective communication allowed my mom to enjoy her trip, knowing her dog was in good hands. She is very trustworthy and caring; we highly recommend her!
