“Hannah has been extremely flexible. The weather has not been favorable and she has been willing to go with the flow. Very thankful for time spent with Xander and he looks forward to the sessions!”

“Jo came to my rescue when last sitter needed to cancel for unforeseeable event. She agreed to a late meet and greet before the starting day. She was so patient with me explaining care detail of a new puppy. She stays longer every time, even helps me train my puppy. There is always very detailed feedback after each session, also gave me a in person evaluation session after a week of caring for my new puppy. I highly recommend Jo to pet parents with busy schedule or need help with your furry baby.”

“Shelby was great! Took awesome care of our girl and went above and beyond ensuring cleanliness and safety during the drop in. Good communication as well. Hope to have her back again soon!”

“Kira is a very friendly and confident person who was wonderful with my 2 dogs. I have a senior dog and an energetic dog -she was great with both. Kira was comfortable with giving them their medications and she walked them every day. She sent lots of great pics. We felt very confident leaving our dogs in her care. She also took out our garbage cans without us having to ask her to and brought in our mail!”

“Samantha met us and our pets ahead of time for a meet and greet, was punctual and followed all directions, and sent a picture with a quick update at the end of her visit. Thanks for making it possible to get away for a stress-free evening!”
About: I’ve been pet sitting since I was in high school and I am currently 29. I have had a few regular clients over the past ten years and am looking to get on Rover since several of my regular clients have sadly passed on. I have experience with older dogs and administering medication. I have 10+ years of experience with taking care of dogs. I have a hybrid job that allows me to work from home about 70% of the time. My weekends and evenings are also free. I would love to take care of your fur babies! Nothing sounds better to me than getting paid to take care of and love your dogs! I have an attention to detail that allows me to take care of your pets with the love and attention you would! I am able to stick to a schedule and accommodate any activities or needs that your dog has.

About: I have taken care of my neighbors’ animals since I was nine years old. I often take care of their dogs for several days at a time while they’re away. I love taking care of animals and making them feel safe and cared for, despite their parents not being home. I have work 8-5 every weekday, but I can pet-sit afterwards and stop by during my lunch break! My weekends are completely free, so I can spend the whole day with your pet if they have more frequent needs. I have had experience from young puppies and kittens to senior dogs and cats. I understand that every animal has differing needs, so I will do my best to accommodate to everything that will make your pet feel safe.

“Scott goes the extra mile to make sure our skittish cat is well taken care of. She is afraid of everyone - but she has warmed up to Scott. I highly recommend Scott - he’s an excellent pet sitter!”

About: Hi! I’m 30 years old and I’ve been around dogs my whole life. I grew up in a house full of dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities—my mom always had rescues and mixed breeds, so I’m very comfortable with different temperaments and energy levels. Today, I have my own adopted 16 lb mixed-breed dog, and caring for him has only deepened my love and experience with dogs. I’m confident handling puppies and energetic dogs, and I truly enjoy walks, playtime, and giving them attention and care. For safety reasons, I prefer not to work with dogs that are overly aggressive or difficult to manage. My experience is focused entirely on dogs, so I’m not the best fit for cats or other types of pets. I’m available to foster small dogs in my apartment. I work from home and I’m able to walk him/her 3/4 times a day. I’m also available for drop-in visits between 6 AM–8 AM and anytime after 5 PM. I live in an apartment with a fenced area, which is great for safe outdoor time. I’m also happy to take your dog on walks outside around the neighborhood. I can feed, play with, and walk your dog, making sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, and care while you’re away.
“Lily has helped us out three times now and we can’t say enough good things! She’s great with both of our dogs, takes tons of pictures, and is always letting us know how things are going throughout our trip! Lily is AMAZING!”

“Arianna was WONDERFUL! She took amazing care of my two cats and made sure they had clean litter, water and got in playtime. She took wonderful photos of them (always a bonus!). Thank you so much for taking care of my boys!”

“Libby cared for my indoor cat Sophie and her semi-feral friend Frankie as well as the neighborhood birds & squirrels for 5 days. I received my daily photos of both cats and she quickly figured out what made Sophie happy. I would highly recommend Libby as well as schedule her again in the future for Sophie.”

“Ilona exceeded expectations - from the booking and meet & greet, to the drop-in care of our cat with pancreatitis. She provided updates & timely communication - she also sent photos & videos and when unclear about anything. Our cat is very skittish and did well with Ilona & her boys. We were able to enjoy our vacation knowing our cat was doing well. This was a positive experience - we highly recommend !”
About: I’ve taken care of dogs both large and small for 10 years for friends and family, both in their home and my own. Willing to walk, play, feed, water, administer basic medications or just provide companionship. Trustworthy, compassionate and reliable. I currently work Monday to Friday but have open availability all day on weekends as well as weekdays after 6pm. I have my own dog and cat as well. I do live in an apartment so would be limited to one dog in my home. I have a 24 pound Cavachon who is friendly with all dogs. I walk my dog multiple times a day and would give yours the same care. I also have a medium kennel if your dog requires that for short absences if that is an option. At a clients home I can play with the pet in a fenced yard or offer 30-60 minute walks multiple times a day. Will feed, play, clean up after pottying, and will give your pet plenty of love and pets!!

About: Hi, I’m Hope! I’ve always felt at home with animals, especially dogs. I believe every dog has their own unique personality, and I love taking the time to understand what makes them feel safe, happy, and loved. Whether your pup is energetic and playful or calm and cuddly, I’ll meet them where they are with patience, kindness, and genuine care. I’m dependable, attentive, and treat every pet as if they were my own. You can expect regular updates, photos, and clear communication so you always know your furry family member is happy and in good hands. I’m comfortable with walks, playtime, feeding routines, administering basic medications if needed, and giving plenty of affection and companionship. My goal is to provide a calm, loving environment where your dog feels secure while you’re away. I know trusting someone with your pet is a big decision, and I don’t take that responsibility lightly. I’d love the opportunity to care for your best friend and become someone you can rely on whenever you need a helping hand.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
