“Kristina was great with our 2 dogs. We had never left them before so I was a little nervous leaving them for 7 days but Kristina was amazing! She sent pictures and gave me updates every day. It made me feel so much better knowing they were happy and that she was taking such great care of them. I also loved that Kristina was able to take care of our dogs in our own home where they are comfortable. Overall Kristina did an amazing job and was wonderful with communicating while she was caring for our dogs. We will definitely be using her again.”

“Melissa was great! This was our second time using her and we will definitely use her again! Definitely recommend her to come into your home and dog sit. She is wonderful with our puppy and Sassy loves her!”

About: I’ve had pets my entire life and have over 30 years of experience caring for cats, dogs, rabbits, and other animals. Friends and family often ask me to pet sit because their pets are comfortable with me — especially dogs who are shy, nervous, skittish, or slow to warm up. I’m comfortable with all kinds of personalities and sizes, from calm cats to high-energy dogs, large breeds like St. Bernards, strong breeds like pit bulls, and small dogs like cheweenies. I pay close attention to each pet’s routine, personality, comfort level, and body language. Cats are a specialty of mine since I’ve had them most of my life. I understand how important it is to respect their space, routines, litter habits, feeding preferences, and need for trust on their own timeline. I’m structured, reliable, and very respectful of owner instructions. If you give me a routine, I will follow it. I also like sending updates and photos so you know your pet is safe, happy, and cared for while you’re away. I’m also respectful of your home and belongings. I clean up after myself, keep pet areas tidy, and treat every home with the same care I would want someone to show mine. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I already structure my day around making sure animals have what they need. In the morning, I make sure pets are fed, have fresh water, get outside or have their litter area checked, and receive attention based on their comfort level. I pay attention to each pet’s personality and routine. Some pets want immediate attention, while others need space first, so I let them come to me and adjust to their vibe. Throughout the day, I stay aware of whether they need to go out, eat, rest, play, or just have calm companionship. If your pet has medication, dietary restrictions, feeding instructions, or a specific routine, I use notes and reminders so nothing gets missed. I like structure and planning ahead, so I’m very careful about following owner instructions and keeping pets on the schedule they are used to. I care for pets with a calm, structured, and attentive approach. In a client’s home, I respect both the pet’s routine and the owner’s space. I follow instructions closely, keep food and water areas clean, clean up after pets, and make sure doors, gates, leashes, litter boxes, and supplies are handled carefully. I’m very observant of animal behavior and body language, especially with pets who are shy, anxious, energetic, or unsure around new people. I do not force interaction. I give pets space, let them warm up at their own pace, and make sure they feel safe and comfortable. I also like to send updates and photos so owners know their pets are doing well. My goal is for your pet to feel cared for and for you to feel confident that your home and animal are being treated with respect.
“Carolina demonstrated great care of our hound and followed all instructions during her stay. She sent regular updates and communicated clearly throughout. Returned home to find the dog happy and the house in order. She even flicked on the outside lights before leaving. Highly recommend!”

“Evelyn is wonderful she came over before the job to meet me, Coco and Lily. She is an excellent listener and connected with Coco and Lily right away. I felt confident she would follow all my instructions and she certainly did....everything was perfect when I returned and she always answered my texts immediately and is on time and reliable.....I highly recommend this very sweet, intelligent sitter and will definitely use her in the future!”

“Nicole was great. She sat for my 3 yr old golden and my son in law’s 16 year old husky mix. She stayed at our house and helped with lite jobs around the house like watering plants and taking out garbage. She also communicated with us daily about how the dogs were doing and things around the house. She was prompt, attentive and responsible. Hi recommend her highly and will use her again.”

“Cynthia was so wonderful! She was incredibly conscientious and thoughtful. And a super fast communicator. Our dog was happy and well taken care of when we got home and clearly loved his time with her!”

About: Hi! I’m Claire and I love taking care of animals!! I have had dogs my entire life, as well as one cat. I have experience caring for dogs of different ages and sizes, including feeding and walks. I am comfortable with giving medications and maintaining training routines as well. I will take care of every pet as if they are my own! I’m currently in school/internship part-time. I am available 4-5 days a week, with internship the other 2-3 days of the week. I am flexible with scheduling, as my school schedule changes each week. I have one dog and one cat that get along with other animals. I have a crate, toys, bowls, and leashes as well. My backyard is perfect for running around.
“Bonnie surpassed all expectations! My pups took to her immediately at the meet and greet, and were showered with attention during the overnight housesitting. Bonnie brought treats and ruffs for my dogs and sent several pictures and dates over the 2 days. My German Shepherd is especially a nervous Nelly, but he was happy and at ease with Bonnie right away. Caring for two big dogs is not the easiest, but Bonnie did an amazing job. I was so relieved I didn’t have to leave them at daycare and that they were being so well cared for. If you can work with Bonnie, do it! I am so happy to have found a reliable and enthusiastic carer for my dogs.”

“We had Kelly house sit for us while we were on vacation (5 days), our two larger dogs (#65 and #100) love her! She definitely cares about them and it makes travelling easier knowing that your pets are in good hands. We will definitely be booking her again.”

“If you give dogs treats after they go outside, they will be much more interested in doing so in the first place. Giving them beforehand is not a proper way to train a dog. Thank you for your help!!”

“Lucky for us, we chose Jaclyn who was a perfect match for our senior pup. She came to meet him before we left and he warmed up to her calm demeanor instantly. She sent photos while we were away and was quick to respond back to messages. We hate leaving our big guy but it’s good to know we have a trusted sitter nearby. Thank you Jaclyn!”
“Olivia was our first experience with Rover and having anyone watch our dog outside of our family. She made us feel comfortable the entire time and was great about sending at least a couple of updates everyday. Our dog ended up having unexpected stomach issues and Olivia handled it with ease even monitoring her and waking up with her in the middle of the night. She left the house cleaner than when we left. We cannot recommend Olivia enough!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs both large and small for 10 years for friends and family, both in their home and my own. Willing to walk, play, feed, water, administer basic medications or just provide companionship. Trustworthy, compassionate and reliable. I currently work Monday to Friday but have open availability all day on weekends as well as weekdays after 6pm. I have my own dog and cat as well. I do live in an apartment so would be limited to one dog in my home. I have a 24 pound Cavachon who is friendly with all dogs. I walk my dog multiple times a day and would give yours the same care. Rochester Hills pet parents share their Rover experiences
Rey is a kind quiet person and with that said, I had concerns with our youngest dog Izzy. Izzy is a Chesapeake Bay Retriever, only 2 years old and quite feisty. She is still in field training and Dad is her "person" so I wondered if she would "own" Rey. Jack is our Lab and easy as can be. Rey did great. Lots of messages and photos... A+ for Rey!

Anna came in and treated our dogs like her own. We got a puppy 1 week from vacation and both our dogs had kennel cough so even our oldest couldn’t be boarded. Anna was prompt to schedule our meet and greet and very easy to get to know and trust with our dogs and our home. We were gone 8 days and she made us feel so connected with pictures everyday and a quick update. She even started crate training for our puppy. She’s absolutely amazing and we will 100% be repeat customers.

I booked an international trip last year but recently relocated. I did not have any local sitters, and my family was unable to watch my girls. Jaclyn was a life saver! At our meet and greet the girls were instantly drawn to her playfulness and her professionalism helped me know they would be well cared for while I was away. She kept them on their schedule, walked them daily and sent just enough photos! 10/10, and will definitely book again!

This was our second time having Lisa check in our guinea pig, Storm, while we were on vacation. Storm was comfortable with her right away, and she shared the cutest photos. Lisa took extra time and care around the house. Would gladly recommend Lisa to anyone looking for trustworthy and reliable pretty care. 😊

Katherine was absolutely wonderful with our dogs, Bentley and Ellie! From the moment she arrived, she was caring, attentive, and made us feel completely at ease leaving them in her care. She followed all instructions perfectly, including giving medications, and sent us thoughtful updates and pictures while we were away. The dogs were happy, relaxed, and clearly well-loved while with her. We’re so grateful for the peace of mind she gave us and will definitely be booking with her again. Highly recommend her!
Kristina was great with our 2 dogs. We will definitely be using her again.
