“Tyler was very responsive during the booking process. He arrived on time both days to pick up our dog for walks and returned when expected. All in all a great experience.”

“Kira has been so fantastic with Doug, The Cooper, and Moshi. We could not be more pleased. She uses the Rover app to let us know when she arrives, how long Doug is on his walk, his “action” and the photos are priceless. We will continue to use her as long as possible. A+”
“I can't recommend Ashley enough as a dog walker! She has been walking my golden retriever, Molly, regularly for a couple of months now, and I couldn't be happier with her services. Ashley is incredibly reliable and always shows up on time, which gives me peace of mind during my busy days. Not only is she friendly and approachable, but her genuine love for dogs truly shines through in her interactions with Molly. It’s clear that she goes above and beyond to make sure Molly is happy and well-cared for during their walks. If you’re looking for someone who is trustworthy and has a real passion for dogs, look no further than Ashley! She’s fantastic, and I’m so grateful to have her!”

“Emily was so wonderful! She was extremely responsive when I contacted her and came over immediately to meet our precious Ezra! She arrived promptly and sent me reports and pictures of her visit. I would highly recommend Emily! I will be using her again for sure!!! Thank you Emily, you made my time away stress free!!”

“Very professional! She always arrived on time, gave them good long walks, took pics of their walks, she was even kind to let me know about their bowel movements and health state when applicable, both doggies always returned happy and exercised and looked like they both enjoyed a lot their walks with Gabriela. Highly recommend her a lot!!”

About: I currently own an pit lab mix and her name is Stella and I have had her for a few years. She is the best especially around people and I love taking her to new places. I love being around dogs, any breed or size . I Love taking walks and enjoying the outdoors. I like to explore new areas and it’s always nice to have a friend while doing it. If you have a high energy dog I would love to play with them, but also dogs that just like to chill and cuddle I enjoy as well. I can walk your dog on weekends and during the evening during the week, mid day as well. I would love to become a dog walker or sitter to get to know more about other breeds and to get to know my area I do have another full time job, but I am willing to accommodate to your pets needs. We can discuss this further when booking. I am able to have decently flexible schedule. I will listen to the needs of the client. I will make sure that their pet is well loved and cared for while I am watching them.
“Erin is so good with our Goldendoodle Toby. He’s very energetic, and Erin takes the walks in stride, letting Toby get all that energy out. Would highly recommend Erin for your dog walking needs!”

About: 🐾 My own dog, Donut, is an anxious and weird girl just entering her senior years, so I'm no stranger to the fact that all dogs are different, with their own unique idiosyncrasies and needs. I love them all anyway! I've also cared for several other dogs, including senior dogs and those with special medical needs. 🐈 My cats are 15 years old now, and take daily medication, and I've cared for several other cats, some with special needs. I know cats can be shy and skittish, so I'm happy to play the long game to get your buddy to trust me! 🦎🐹🐠 I have experience with fish, geckos, frogs, snakes, hamsters, and guinea pigs! Doesn't matter to me if it's scaly, slimy, or swimmy - it's a friend of mine :) I'm a part-time barista and ceramic artist, so my schedule can be quite flexible, and I enjoy having something to get me out and about, as otherwise I tend to be a homebody! I have my own pets, and I'll always treat your animals and your home the way I want mine treated. I'm respectful, but comfortable in new environments. Maintaining routine and environment for your pet is my #1 priority.

“Scott is doing such a great job taking care of my little 3 month old Boston Terrier pup! Im so thankful to know he's being cared for during my work hours and getting updates and pictures during the day is really helpful gives me such a peace of mind! Thanks Scott!”

“Shelby was fantastic. She walked my dog four days in a row while I was working. My dog liked her from the moment they met and she did a great job! I will be asking her to walk my dog again soon.”

About: Hi, I’m Hope! I’ve always felt at home with animals, especially dogs. I believe every dog has their own unique personality, and I love taking the time to understand what makes them feel safe, happy, and loved. Whether your pup is energetic and playful or calm and cuddly, I’ll meet them where they are with patience, kindness, and genuine care. I’m dependable, attentive, and treat every pet as if they were my own. You can expect regular updates, photos, and clear communication so you always know your furry family member is happy and in good hands. I’m comfortable with walks, playtime, feeding routines, administering basic medications if needed, and giving plenty of affection and companionship. My goal is to provide a calm, loving environment where your dog feels secure while you’re away. I know trusting someone with your pet is a big decision, and I don’t take that responsibility lightly. I’d love the opportunity to care for your best friend and become someone you can rely on whenever you need a helping hand.
“So happy to have found the Rover app, and Emily Z! I normally work from home most days, so when I went on vacation I worried about my dog being cooped up all day while the rest of the family was at work/school. This was perfect to get her some exercise and a bathroom break! Emily was prompt and professional with all communication. I enjoyed the “report card” after each walk. I hope to use the service again soon and would definitely recommend Emily to anyone!”

About: The number one thing in life that brings me joy is caring for animals. I currently work as a nurse and I’m working on completing my masters. I’ve cared for animals of all shapes and sizes, and used to rescue senior dogs. I am happy to care for either cats or dogs (or both!). I currently have 2 Newfies that help keep me on my toes, and I’ve had many cats throughout my life (most recently a Maine Coon that passed at age 20).I’m happy to assist with walks, play time, boarding, etc., please reach out with any questions. I look forward to meeting your furry friends! I am working part time on Saturdays and Sundays, so I am free during the week for pet care services. I can do up to 3 drop in visits per day depending on distance. Dogs are like toddlers, so you always have to be watching (especially the puppies), so I am very attentive to their needs and wants. I love taking them outside and playing or going for walks. I match your pets energy level, so if they can go for a long walk, we go for long walks and vice versa with shorter walks for older dogs.
“Frankie (9 month Pitbull) has recently started going on weekly walks with Kristina and he is a big fan! I love watching how excited he gets to see her. She is very trustworthy, sweet, attentive, and so much fun. Frankie is a big ball of energy and a mischief maker but Kristina does so well with him. Frankie and I highly recommend her :)”

About: I have taken care of my neighbors’ animals since I was nine years old. I often take care of their dogs for several days at a time while they’re away. I love taking care of animals and making them feel safe and cared for, despite their parents not being home. I have work 8-5 every weekday, but I can pet-sit afterwards and stop by during my lunch break! My weekends are completely free, so I can spend the whole day with your pet if they have more frequent needs. I have had experience from young puppies and kittens to senior dogs and cats. I understand that every animal has differing needs, so I will do my best to accommodate to everything that will make your pet feel safe.
About: I have lots of experience over the last 15 years of pet-sitting in other's homes and boarding family members' pets, as well as going for walks and doing pop-ins Currently changing careers from teaching to real estate, so I have lots of time available over the summer! Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Rochester Hills
Wow! I am seriously impressed with Hannah. She jived well with my dog Xander, has been just a hero in a situation where I desperately needed someone to watch Xander while I took his sister to puppy class. She was on time and had no problem with the full hour. I picked up a very contented Xander. I would highly recommend!

Rebecca really helped calm my dog mom nerves. We are a travel baseball family and are gone all day long most weekends, and I hate leaving my dog for so long. She came by and took my dog for a walk, fed him, and played with him. She was super flexible with my unknown schedule and times, and so easy to communicate with. I could tell I made a good choice within just a few minutes of meeting her! I’ve definitely found someone who I trust to come take care of my boy while I’m out!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
