“Kathleen is wonderful with Sasha. Sasha has her own personality and can be stubborn. Kathleen works with her and listens to what she wants. Kathleen also lets us know daily walks went and also let us know if she has any issues with her walking time so we can all adjust accordingly. Sasha and we love Kathleen.”

“Desiree is great with my big energetic dog!!! She is very friendly and great to work with. On time, positive, and sends updates with pictures and videos. She goes above and beyond which is what we all want for our pets. Highly recommend!”

About: 🌞 I am always smiling brightly every time I have the opportunity to be with an animal. (I have many photos of this to share!) I love all types of these precious beings! 💗 Some of my life experiences include: Parenting Dogs, Cats, Kittens, Lizards, and Senior Pets. I have assisted in kitten birth and successfully bonded with, and adopted a feral kitten who (still) adores me... Yay! 😁 I have also cared for a very sick lizard and kitten by myself that required extensive care for a few long months. 🐿️ 🐴 All types of animals seem to be attracted to me, including... dogs, cats, ferrets, horses, donkeys, goats, possums, squirrels, etc. I love the saying, "If animals are drawn to you, it's not random. They can sense good energy and are naturally drawn to calm and safe vibes." 🐐 🐑 🐕 I have been a volunteer at the Michigan Humane Society and I am also a medical professional (for humans). 🐈 💊 *Disclaimer: My '30' years of experience is personal. 💉 📆 My typical availability might be something like: M-Th evenings 6-9pm (I usually work my primary job M-TH 7am-5:30pm and almost NEVER available during these hours.) - *After those hours, FEEL FREE TO ASK IF NOT OPEN ON CALANDER* (I may arrive in medical scrubs), Friday afternoon 10am-3pm *FEEL FREE TO ASK IF NOT OPEN ON CALANDER* and most Saturdays / Sundays.✨ Sometimes I am more available and sometimes less... This schedule is not always definite but I will keep my calendar availability posted and up to date. *ALWAYS FEEL FREE TO ASK IF NOT OPEN ON CALANDER. I 'MAY' BE ABLE TO ACCOMMODATE* 📆 🏠 House sitting can also 'sometimes' be booked with notice if marked 'Unavailable' in my calendar. Feel free to ask. 🏠 ⚕️ Since I am attempting to transition from human care to animal care, I still work full time (plus) in the Human Healthcare field and my work schedule varies. (I am certified in human CPR and hopefully animal CPR to come...)⚕️ 🐈⬛ I have always had a strong desire to work with animals and I am hoping to finally transition from human care to animal care but I prefer to interact with animals and enjoy what they bring to the world, rather than do restraining and invasive procedures on them. 🐶 I am pretty intuitive about what makes an animal happy (and not) and I would make their time with me as awesome as I possibly can! Additionally, I would happily engage farm animals, birds, and others to my full ability!
“Olivia did great caring for my Shitzus Lilly and Toya. I appreciate her punctuality, and attention to detail. I was relieved my precious pups were taken care of while I was away.”

“From the first minute I spoke to Zoe, I knew that I had hired a great person to watch Flex and take him for a walk. She came over the night before and did a meet-and-greet. Flex had other ideas, but she communicated with me, which put me at ease. I highly recommend Zoe.”

“I love Mackenzie she is so gentle and patient with my rescue border collie. She’s very reliable punctual and friendly. I have rebooked her time and time again and will continue to do so.”

About: Hi! I’m Samantha, a pet handler supervisor with professional experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. Working in a pet resort has given me hands-on experience with everything from energetic puppies to senior pets who need a little extra patience and attention. As a pet parent myself, I know how important it is to find someone you can trust with your furry family members. I treat every pet as if they were my own, providing plenty of love, attention, playtime, and care while keeping their routine as consistent as possible. What sets me apart is my professional background. I’m comfortable reading animal body language, recognizing signs of stress or illness, administering basic medications if needed, and caring for multiple pets with different needs. Whether your pet needs a quick potty break, a walk, playtime, or companionship while you’re away, you can feel confident they’re in experienced hands. I believe communication is important, so you can expect updates and photos during every visit. My goal is for you to have peace of mind and for your pet to feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I look forward to meeting you and your pets! 🐾❤️ I have daytime availability and love being able to spend that time caring for animals. My schedule allows me to provide reliable visits, walks, playtime, and check-ins while keeping your pet’s routine as normal and stress-free as possible. Working as a pet handler supervisor has given me the experience to confidently care for pets with different personalities and needs. ❤️ I provide care in my clients’ homes through reliable check-ins and walks that help keep pets comfortable in their own familiar environment. I’ll follow your pet’s normal routine, including feeding instructions, fresh water, potty breaks, playtime, and any specific care preferences you provide. During visits, I focus on making pets feel safe, loved, and stress-free while you’re away. I’ll take the time to build trust, respect each pet’s personality, and provide updates and photos so you know how your pet is doing. 🐾 With my experience as a pet handler supervisor, I’m comfortable with pets of different sizes, ages, and personalities, and I understand how important patience and attention to detail are.
About: With a lifelong passion for animals and years of professional experience, I am dedicated to providing safe, reliable, and compassionate pet care. I have cared for animals since I was around 6 years old and officially began offering professional pet sitting services through Rover in February 2018. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of caring for many beloved pets and building lasting relationships with both pets and their owners. Growing up surrounded by dogs and cats has helped me develop a natural understanding of animal behavior, body language, and emotional needs from an early age. Caring for animals has always felt like my true calling, and I take pride in creating a safe, loving, and enriching environment for every pet in my care. I founded and operated a local animal rescue organization, where I coordinated care initiatives and collaborated with volunteers and established rescue groups to support animal welfare, rehabilitation, and rehoming efforts. I bring six years of professional experience in animal rescue and rehabilitation, with specialized expertise in small mammals, reptiles, invertebrates, fish, and neonatal kitten care. --------------------------------------------------------- Certifications & Specialized Training I continuously expand my knowledge to provide the highest quality care possible. My certifications include but are not limited to: -Pet First Aid & CPR Certification -Pet First Aid Certification -Pet Psychology Certification -Pet Sitting Certification -Pet Nutrition Certification -Dog Grooming Certification -Complete Pet Care Certification -Introduction to Being a Dog Trainer Certification -Animal Physiotherapy Certification -Animal Reiki Certification -Canine Communication Certification -Introduction to Cat Behavior Certification -Introduction to Reptile Care Certification -Learn to Communicate with Animals and Nature Certification -Advanced Animal Care Certification --------------------------------------------------------- About My Care & Schedule Pet sitting is my full-time career, allowing me to provide attentive, hands-on care throughout the day. I am very much a homebody, which means your pet will spend the majority of their stay in a calm, supervised, and comfortable environment with plenty of companionship and attention. My schedule is moderately flexible, though I ask clients to keep drop-off and pick-up windows within a one-hour timeframe whenever possible. Timeliness is greatly appreciated, as I reserve these periods specifically for client transitions. Schedule changes should be requested at least 24 hours in advance whenever possible. Delays exceeding one hour may result in a $20 late fee. --------------------------------------------------------- Important Notes for Daycare Clients Daycare for dogs requiring constant supervision is currently available during evening hours only. If your dog cannot comfortably be left alone for 2–4 hours, I may not be the best fit for daytime daycare services. --------------------------------------------------------- Meet & Greets A meet and greet is required prior to all first-time bookings to ensure compatibility and help your pet become comfortable with me, my home, and my resident pets. Each new client receives one complimentary 45-minute meet and greet. Additional meet and greets are available for a $15 fee per session. --------------------------------------------------------- Daily Updates I provide at least one daily update including 2–5 photos or videos, though many clients receive additional updates throughout their pet’s stay. I am happy to accommodate reasonable communication preferences discussed during the meet and greet. --------------------------------------------------------- Rates & Policies My rates are firm and reflect the level of care, experience, supervision, and accommodations I provide. I do not offer discounts, price matching, or negotiated pricing. --------------------------------------------------------- Safety & Home Environment Safety is one of my highest priorities. I have created a dedicated, dog-proofed area within my home designed specifically for pet care and supervision. My home includes: -Child safety locks on cabinets, closets, stove knobs, and oven doors -Secured gates creating multiple safety barriers near exits -Pet monitoring cameras for continuous supervision -Multiple crate sizes available if needed or in case of emergencies -A large fenced yard for safe exercise and play -Additional long-lead safety systems for small dogs or escape-prone dogs -Climate-controlled indoor areas with monitored temperatures -Thorough sanitation of all pet areas, bowls, toys, crates, and surfaces Pets are never left unsupervised outdoors, and outdoor time is carefully monitored during warmer temperatures to prevent overheating, especially for brachycephalic or heat-sensitive breeds. Inside, dogs enjoy a spacious, comfortable environment complete with dog beds, a twin mattress lounge area, toys, chews, and individualized storage for belongings and food. All pets are fed separately to safely monitor eating habits and prevent food guarding or accidental food sharing. --------------------------------------------------------- Medical & Special Needs Experience I am certified in pet first aid and CPR and experienced with administering oral and injectable medications. I also have hands-on experience caring for: -Senior dogs -Dogs with separation anxiety -Deaf or blind dogs -Tripod dogs -Dogs with mobility challenges or rear-end paralysis -Fearful or skittish dogs -Dogs with incontinence issues I closely monitor every pet’s appetite, hydration, bathroom habits, activity level, and overall behavior to quickly identify any potential concerns. I also maintain 24/7 access to transportation in the event veterinary care is needed during your pet’s stay. --------------------------------------------------------- Multi-Dog Household & Socialization I maintain a structured and carefully managed pack environment and may care for up to 5-7 dogs from different households at one time. Every dog is thoroughly screened and introduced slowly and safely to ensure compatibility and positive interactions. My home also includes two indoor cats. Dogs are introduced carefully to ensure appropriate behavior around cats. Additional small pets are securely housed in dog-free areas and are never directly interacted with by visiting dogs. --------------------------------------------------------- Additional Services Offered Per request pending additional service fees: -Transportation to and from my home (additional fee based on distance) -Sanitary baths -Nail trimming -Basic maintenance brushing and coat blow-outs For transportation, dogs must wear a properly fitted harness for safe vehicle restraint. Grooming services are limited to basic maintenance and are only performed if your pet is comfortable and cooperative during the process. Above all, my goal is to provide a safe, structured, loving, and low-stress environment where pets can feel comfortable, secure, and cared for while their owners are away. I am a full-time pet sitter, so caring for animals is my primary focus and fits naturally into my daily routine. Because I spend most of my time at home, pets receive plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. I am only away for short periods to complete errands or provide scheduled drop-in visits for other clients. Safety is a cornerstone of my pet-sitting approach. I hold multiple certifications, including Pet First Aid and CPR, along with additional training in the care of a variety of animal species. I also bring six years of professional experience in animal rescue and rehabilitation, which has strengthened my ability to recognize and respond to a wide range of animal needs and behaviors. I provide a secure, pet-proofed room designed for dogs to safely play, relax, and feel comfortable. To further ensure a safe environment, I use nanny cameras to monitor pets when I am in other areas of the home or away on errands, helping me maintain attentive oversight at all times.
About: We love dogs and promise to take care of yours as if he or she was part of our family. We are happy to follow any specific instructions you may have and will do our best to provide a happy, healthy environment for your furry family member while you’re away. We are both recently retired and don’t currently have any pets so we can give yours all the attention he or she needs. We are happy to send photos and/or videos while you’re away if you like! We will make sure your dog(s) get lots of exercise, love and attention! We are retired and are available everyday - weekdays, weekends, holidays - you name it! We are completely flexible and able to work with your schedule. We can even pick up and/or drop off your fur baby if it’s more convenient for you. Just ask us - we are more than happy to help! And while our profile says that we only take ONE dog at a time, we are happy to take two or three AS LONG AS THEY ARE FROM THE SAME FAMILY. We strongly believe in making your dog’s (or dogs’) experience as close to what you provide at home. That’s why we don’t have any other animals of our own and we won’t care for multiple dogs from outside your own family. It’s safer for your dog(s) and there is much less anxiety for them when they aren’t faced with unknown dogs. We endeavor to make your dog(s) feel as comfortable and calm as possible during their stay with us. Safety first! Our entire home has been recently remodeled and is very dog friendly. We keep chemicals out of sight and behind closed doors. Our yard is fenced in and there is a lot of space to run and play. Joe is “dog-walker extraordinaire” and loves to take long or short walks any time of day.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
