“Kshama was professional and responsive when I contacted her during Lucky’s stay at her home with her husband and their dog Zeus. I received videos and pictures to remind me how happy lucky was. I had to extend Lucky’s stay so I rebooked again with her for a longer stay. When I went to drop more food for lucky, he was happy. I’ll use her again when I need to.”

“Mou & Yanling were amazing with our seven-year-old doggy; she is a well-behaved dog but can be reactive with other dogs. They were very patient and loving, and when I picked her up, I could see how happy her stay was. They sent me videos and pictures daily, and my dog looked so happy. They also stitched and fixed a sweater she wore, which was so sweet and kind. Our doggy's stay was four days. I will book them again for my doggy's next boarding if available, and I highly recommend them. Thank you, Mou & Yanling, for being so caring and loving with Sparrow :)”

“Our dog is a lover and he was well taken care of. He received lots of love and attention which made his stay all that much better. We loved all the photos! Thanks so much Laura for taking such great care of our furbaby! He was in the best of hands while we were away!!”

“Amanda was awesome! Our dog had a wonderful time! She sent updates and was available and responsive. He’s and energetic pup and he loved having a playmate and a fenced in yard to run around as well as daily walks. I would highly recommend her and we are planning on using her again in the future!”

“We always know Hazel is in good hands when she stays with Monica. She always takes such great care of her and is easy to communicate with. She’s our go to dog sitter when we’re out of town.”

“I could not have asked for better sitters for our 10-month old puppy! Amy and her family went above and beyond to care for Jojo and ensure she had a great time while we were out of the country on a 10-day vacation. I can't thank them enough for giving us a worry-free vacation, with daily pictures and videos and hilarious updates. Not to mention Finley was the best boy and companion for Jojo! Amy cared about every detail prior to our departure to ensure Jojo was safe and well taken care of. We are so lucky to have found Amy and family (and Finley) and would recommend them in a heartbeat.”

“Rachael is a sweetheart and clearly has a huge heart for doggies 🐕 ♥️ I felt comfortable leaving my baby girl as I left town. She sent videos and pictures while I was away. I recommend Rachael for boarding care!!”

“Lindsay is the absolute best with our pups! She has been very patient with our rescue Great Pyr who has had separation issues and cancer. Our other little one is easy and hyper. She gives them love as if they were her own, thank you Lindsay!!”

“10/10 stars!! I would absolutely try boarding/cat sitting with Hali in the future. I was considerably nervous as it was the first time my cat would ever spend a night away from me. Hali made sure to keep me updated with plenty of pictures and videos of Wednesday during her stay! My cat is an anxious girl, so I appreciated the effort and patience Hali had with her. Hali was also very considerate about the fact that my cat gets anxious around dogs, and thankfully was able to provide Wednesday with a space of her own! Overall, I’m very happy with the quality of care Wednesday received and would definitely recommend booking with Hali.”

“Thanks Adam and Ying! I left Saginaw with them for a quick 48h work trip. They are my go-to sitters for their flexibility and proximity to my home. Saginaw knows them well and is super excited to go see them!”

“Samantha and Zachary are fantastic sitters! My dog Stella had a great time and made two new friends in Krypto and Bailey. Provided daily photos and videos of Stella during her stay and they were always quick to respond to all my messages. Would highly recommend!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Sterling Heights
Lindsay did great with both of my dogs. Provided constant updates either in the morning or at the end of the day along with pictures. The updates were very detailed which helped me as I have anxiety about leaving my dogs with new sitters. She also gave my dogs a lot of grace for the first time visiting. Thank you!

This is the second time Kshama has watched our puppy and she does such a great job. My puppy gets along so well with her dog and comes home happy and tired from all the fun she had. Kshama is great with updates so you know your pup is well taking care of. I would highly recommend.

Dawn was amazing! I did not have a single worry the entire 8 days she watched our dog . Dawn updated me daily with texts , videos and photos . Our dog absolutely loved her dogs . I can’t say enough how amazing Dawn was !!!!!! I would recommend her to everyone looking for a dog sitter . I think we will even try to setup a day for her to go to Dawns for doggie day care just so she can play with her new friends . Thank you sooo much Dawn you’re amazing at taking care of our girl Tulip .
This was our dog's first time staying away from us and Ashley and her family made the entire experience so easy and reassuring. From our initial meet and greet, to drop off and pick up, they were kind, welcoming, and communicative. Ashley's calm and confident approach with our boy and other dogs is one of the things I appreciated the most. Ashley sent photo updates whenever we asked and then some, which meant the world to us. We could tell our boy was well taken care of and when we need a dog sitter again they will be our first option!

Kyle was very professional and communicative before and during our dog’s first stay. We felt like we were leaving her in very capable hands. She seemed to have a great time going for walks and playing with him in his fenced backyard. She came home happy and calm, which is the best sign of a great stay. We will use him again and then highly recommend him to others.

We had a great experience with Giselle. Our dog, Oden was well taken care of. She followed our instructions as to how to properly care for him. Giselle even took the time to let Oden explore her home before introducing her 2 dogs. She took the time to play tug with Oden because she knows that is his favorite activity. Giselle sent plenty of photos and videos to reassure us that he was engaged, safe and having a pleasant experience. We really appreciate the time and effort Giselle put into watching our fur baby, Oden. Lastly, we love her fair, competitive pricing and we will book again. Thanks again.

Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
