“Camille is hands down the best and most loving dog sitter/walker. Being the first time we left our 1-year-old puppy, Dreamer, we were a little anxious, but the moment we met Camille all of our fears disappeared. Our Goldendoodle absolutely adored her and was calm and happy when we returned home. At the mention of her name even a day later, he gets so excited and runs for the door as if she’s visiting! Camille sent us several photos of Dreamer to reassure and update us that he was doing well. She is reliable, incredibly attentive, honest ,and kind. If you want a fur baby walker who will treat your dog like their own family, hire Camille! ♥️😇”

About: I've had dogs for as long as I can remember. I started raising dogs while I was still living with my parents decades ago, and looking back, I don't think there has ever been a time in my life when I didn't have a dog by my side. I've raised my dogs from about 8 weeks old through every stage of their lives. My current dog, Wrigley, is a Golden Retriever who is now over 9 years old. I recently retired, which gives me the time and flexibility to give your dog the attention, care, and companionship they deserve. I'm not looking to simply keep busy — I genuinely enjoy being around dogs and spending time with them. Over the years, I've learned how to understand dogs, handle them confidently, and care for them with patience, caution, and respect. Whether it's going for a walk, playing, providing companionship, or simply making sure they're comfortable and safe, I enjoy the responsibility that comes with caring for someone's pet. When your dog is with me, my goal is simple: to treat them with the same patience, attention, and care that I would want for my own dog. My schedule is very flexible, and I'm available throughout the week, including weekends. I'm confident we can arrange a schedule that fits both your needs and mine. I provide pet care in the comfort of your pet's own home, along with walks, playtime, and plenty of attention. If it's a good fit for your pet's needs, we also have access to a secure, fenced dog park in our Troy community where they can safely exercise, socialize, and have fun.
About: Our pets deserve the best care when we aren't there. I am able to do so, and can fulfill any extra instructions given to me about medications or specific play or if you want some light training. If your dog has any behavioral issues, please make sure to bring that up so I can prepare for that. While this app is for dogs and cats, I can also take care of small animals like guinea pigs and rabbits. I have guinea pigs and rabbits myself and know how much care they need. I’m currently self employed, and I make my own schedule, so I have all the time in the world to take care of furry family members at any time. I’m extremely receptive to all instruction on how pet owners like things done in their home and with their pet(s). If your pet is on a strict schedule between eating and playing and bathroom times, I can easily stick to that. Pets and their owners always take priority.
About: Hi! I am a licensed therapist who enjoys spending time with pets on the side! I have taken care of dogs and cats since I was in high school, and have had several fur babies of my own for years now. I currently have two cats, Baker and Cleo! I used to give my previous cat monthly injections for his arthritis (he was a senior kitty) so I have some experience administering medication as well. I care for my two cats daily. Given that I make my own schedule for my job, I typically have flexible availability, including most weekends. Although I cannot care for pets in my own home, I can stay overnight and can typically make multiple visits throughout the day if needed since I have my own vehicle.
“Heather was awesome! This is the first time we used this site, and we were pleasantly surprised on how east and smooth the process was. Heather was great with the dogs and on time!”

About: I grew up with dogs and have been around them for most of my life, so caring for them has always felt natural to me. Over the years, I have also watched my neighbors’ dogs, providing feeding, walks, playtime, companionship, and plenty of attention while their owners were away. What sets me apart is that I am dependable, patient, and attentive to each dog’s individual personality and routine. I understand how important it is for pets to feel safe and comfortable when their owners are not home, and I will follow your care instructions closely. I am also happy to provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident that your dog is well cared for. I am currently not working leaving me available for stopping in for visits or taking for walks. I love exercise and being outside! To have a companion with me would be great! Your pet’s safety and comfort will always be my priority. During walks, I will use the leash and equipment you provide, remain aware of our surroundings, avoid unsafe situations, and follow any instructions regarding other dogs, people, traffic, or preferred walking routes. For drop-in visits, I will carefully follow your pet’s normal routine, including feeding, fresh water, bathroom breaks, playtime, and companionship. I will make sure doors, gates, and crates are securely closed before leaving. I will also respect your home, clean up after your pet as needed, and send updates and photos so you know your pet is safe and well cared for.
“Sumedha is very dependable even when the weather isn’t ideal. I am very pregnant and a lot less mobile these days, so it means so much to have someone help keep our dogs active. They love her!”

About: I recently lost my 13 year old lab who had mobility issues and needed extra help getting around. She also had an immune disorder that required multiple different daily medications. I have rugs throughout my home to ensure paws have good grip walking on the hardwood floors, a help-me up harness for a large dog and a fenced in yard with organic grass to chew on (I don’t use any pesticides). She passed away late last year and would love to continue to care for your dog like it was my own! I usually work from home and spend a lot of free time at home as well. If dogs are staying with me, I would walk them at least twice a day and let them out in the yard multiple times a day. I try to follow a similar schedule that you do with your dog as much as possible (food schedule, walk schedule, ect.). I have clean dog beds and I allow the dogs to sleep up on the couch if they are potty trained. There are no dogs living in my home but sometimes I get multiple requests to watch dogs. Please let me know if you prefer to have your dog(s) be the only dogs in the home during their stay. Also, it helps a ton if you fill out your dog’s full profile and indicate things like if they get along with other dogs or are reactive in certain situations and other things to look out for. Please fill out before a request if you can.
“Alexis was super flexible and helpful for a last minute request. She was kind and followed instructions for getting into the house/with Goose without any issues. Would recommend her if you’re looking for your pup to be in good hands!!”

About: i’ve owned and taken care of pets since a young kid, my friends and family have entrusted me to take good care of their fur babies and doggos, have had cats for 12 years and took care of a dog at my dads as a young teen! huge cat person, but an animal lover and enthusiast in general! all paws are welcome! I am currently unemployed and struggling to find a typical job so I am just doing Rover, and only deal with occasional doctors appointments and such as of right now, so I have plenty of time in my schedule to take care of your babies! I have two indoor cats that get nice wet food in the morning and at night, and dry food as needed throughout the day without overfeeding, I spend time with my babies daily and take great care of them. As for when I took care of the dogs, I would take my old dog annie on a walk every morning along with me, then play fetch with her or whatever she wants to do for a half hour or so when we arrive at the park mid walk. I’d then come home, feed her some water and wet food and do my thing while she hung with me in my room, I had my own basket of a couple bones and some DIY toys i made for her when she was alive and i was living there still, and then at night id take her on my run to get some exercise with me and feed her again for dinner when we get back. You can be rest assured I will provide passionate, serious and loving care for your pets 😊❤️

“Ashley was prompt, professional! She is a very experienced pet caretaker, so I felt confident hiring her. Draper loved seeing her and thoroughly enjoyed his afternoon walk with her. When Ashley dropped Draper off, Draper did not want her to leave, it was just so cute to see. As a dog mom, she made me feel 100% comfortable leaving him in her care. This was the first time I have ever hired a walker for him, but have not been able to walk him due to a slight knee problem. I couldn't be happier that I found her. I am booking her again soon for another afternoon walk. I highly recommend Ashley!!”

About: Hi there! I'm a local mom, home administrator, and lifelong pet owner offering reliable, high-quality dog walking and pet drop in visits. Having managed a busy household and cared for my own dogs for years, I understand exactly how important structure, safety and reliability are when it comes to your fur babies. I specialize in keeping your pets happy, exercised, and completely on their regular schedules. During my visits, I provide fresh water, structured walks, playtime and plenty of affection. I am highly organized, excellent at following exact care or medication instructions, and will always send you quick photo updates so you know your pet is thriving. If you are looking for a trustworthy, mature professional to help look after you pets during a busy workday or weekend, I would love to assist! My schedule is flexible around school drop off and pick up. With some built in wiggle room in between, I am home with my toddler during the day and our only commitment is fun, and nap/lunch time. I would love to walk and or visit your pet before or after nap! I have a fully fenced yard, but it hasn't always been the case. I am used to taking my two 70+lb dogs on leashes to walk, when we weren't lucky enough to have a fenced yard. I am very cautious when it comes to where we walk, and the temperatures outside. Can never be too careful with the paws!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
