“Camille is professional, responsive and a great communicator. I had a trip that was last minute and she was very flexible and accommodating. I know my kitty was in great hands. I will be working with Camille again!”

“Myranda was great! She did some drop in visits for my puppy! This was my first time using Rover, as well as my first time having to leave Morty by himself but I knew he was in good hands! She was very professional, flexible, and communicated efficiently! She also sent me plenty of updates while she stopped by! I will absolutely be using her again in the future :)”

About: I've had dogs for as long as I can remember. I started raising dogs while I was still living with my parents decades ago, and looking back, I don't think there has ever been a time in my life when I didn't have a dog by my side. I've raised my dogs from about 8 weeks old through every stage of their lives. My current dog, Wrigley, is a Golden Retriever who is now over 9 years old. I recently retired, which gives me the time and flexibility to give your dog the attention, care, and companionship they deserve. I'm not looking to simply keep busy — I genuinely enjoy being around dogs and spending time with them. Over the years, I've learned how to understand dogs, handle them confidently, and care for them with patience, caution, and respect. Whether it's going for a walk, playing, providing companionship, or simply making sure they're comfortable and safe, I enjoy the responsibility that comes with caring for someone's pet. When your dog is with me, my goal is simple: to treat them with the same patience, attention, and care that I would want for my own dog. My schedule is very flexible, and I'm available throughout the week, including weekends. I'm confident we can arrange a schedule that fits both your needs and mine. I provide pet care in the comfort of your pet's own home, along with walks, playtime, and plenty of attention. If it's a good fit for your pet's needs, we also have access to a secure, fenced dog park in our Troy community where they can safely exercise, socialize, and have fun.
“Genuinely an incredible cat sitter. Very attentive to detail, thoughtful, and friendly. Informative and thorough Rover Cards. Went above and beyond, even offering to take our trash to curb while away. Would 100% recommend for kittens or young cats.”

“Cara was awesome with coming over to first meet my dogs and making sure they were a good fit, especially since I have a dog with special needs. Both of my dogs loved her! She is very friendly, quick to respond and answered all of my questions. I got lots of pictures after their first check-in which I appreciate. I had happy dogs when I got home and it was very nice not having to worry about them while I wasn't home. I will definitely book with Cara again!”

“Kelly was wonderful with our cat! She kept us updated on when she was there and sent us wonderful photos. We totally trusted her to be in our home and to take care of our cat when we were out of town. We’d highly recommend her!”

“Thank goodness for Kevin. We are extremely fortunate to have found the best person to take care of Finnegan. Kevin is considerate, kind, and goes above and beyond every single day. Thank you Kevin, for taking on a challenging dog and making me feel like he isn’t challenging; at least not for you. :)”

“Julia has taken exceptional care of my very high anxiety Doberman! She has gone above and beyond to make sure he’s comfortable and has a good walk or time with her. Her prices are very reasonable and I cannot recommend her enough to watch or walk your pup!”

“Robert and Heather were great! They reply quickly, and are very thoughtful and detail oriented. I was able to book them on short notice and they came through but also went above and beyond. Remy did really well with them and warmed up quickly despite him usually being guarded at first. I would defnitely try to book with them first before i consider other dog walkers.”

“Stephanie was great with my cat Boris - she was very responsive and attentive, and proactive about asking questions. I would definitely book Stephanie to look after Boris again!”

“Veronica watched our cat & dog for 5 days while we were away, and when we come home our animals were SO happy compared to when we board them or hire someone else! She is lovely to work with too. Thank you so much Veronica!”

About: I recently lost my 13 year old lab who had mobility issues and needed extra help getting around. She also had an immune disorder that required multiple different daily medications. I have rugs throughout my home to ensure paws have good grip walking on the hardwood floors, a help-me up harness for a large dog and a fenced in yard with organic grass to chew on (I don’t use any pesticides). She passed away late last year and would love to continue to care for your dog like it was my own! I usually work from home and spend a lot of free time at home as well. If dogs are staying with me, I would walk them at least twice a day and let them out in the yard multiple times a day. I try to follow a similar schedule that you do with your dog as much as possible (food schedule, walk schedule, ect.). I have clean dog beds and I allow the dogs to sleep up on the couch if they are potty trained. There are no dogs living in my home but sometimes I get multiple requests to watch dogs. Please let me know if you prefer to have your dog(s) be the only dogs in the home during their stay. Also, it helps a ton if you fill out your dog’s full profile and indicate things like if they get along with other dogs or are reactive in certain situations and other things to look out for. Please fill out before a request if you can.
“Rebecca took great care of our two cats while we were away. She took our outdoor cat for a walk as we requested and was even able to give our shy girl some pets. The photos she took and updates she sent let us know our four-legged family were in good hands. It's clear that she cares for and has a way with animals. We will use her again and would definitely recommend her!”
“Alexis is so nice and friendly. She has taken on the challenge of our dog not being fully potty trained, and helped me feel better about that. We are happy with the care she’s given and will continue to book with her when possible.”

“Rachel was excellent. She did exactly what we needed & took great care of Mya, who’s a 15 year old black lab. Would definitely recommend her & will be using her again in the future!”
“Ashely was incredible! My wife and I used rover for the first time and wanted someone trustworthy that was great with animals. We’re so glad we found Ashely! She too such good care of our 2 cats when we were away and sent is lots of pictures while we were away. She did an amazing job and we will definitely recommend her to friends and family.”

“Camrynn and Shawn are so awesome and took such good care of our girls! Always on time, took pictures, and went above and beyond and checked on our cat even when they were just there to let out our dog.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Clawson
Charlie and Kat have a wonderful relationship and she is always as delighted to see him as he is to see her. I am truly eternally grateful to know that this little guy is in great hands and he has a wonderful time every time they are together. She takes extra care of him, cleans his water rolls, cleans up after his messes, even that’s not my expectation! Thank you so much for your caring of my little guy!

Stephanie was phenomenal, Mavis absolutely loved her! She sent detailed messages along with pictures and videos everyday which is super helpful for anxious pet parents like me. Next time we go out of town we’ll absolutely be looking at rebooking her, I cannot recommend her more!

Our meet and greet with Jacquelyn went well and she is very pleasant. Her visits with our cat were on time and she didn’t rush, which I appreciate. When you pay for a 30 minute visit, you expect your sitter to spend time with your pet, not just feed them and run. I will definitely use her to pet sit again!

Kelly has been absolutely wonderful with my pups! She is incredibly thorough, attentive, and genuinely cares about them. I have a lot of specific routines and details that are important to me, and she takes the time to follow every one of them. She is reliable and gives me complete peace of mind knowing my girls are in good hands. I highly recommend Kelly to anyone looking for someone who will go above and beyond for their pets!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
