Availability
My schedule is pretty flexible since I work from home 3x per week so it's easy to fit drop ins and dog walks into my schedule. However, I am not available on Wednesdays until 4pm since I work in the office in Ann Arbor. I’m open to recurring dog walks or drop ins but will only be able to accept if it’s once a week (or twice a week if it’s close to my home)

About Melissa M.
Communication

Safety, trust & environment
For me, communication is KEY! Both pets and their owners have needs during a stay or drop in, whether that's extra playtime with certain toys to get their energy out, or lots of pictures to make sure their furry friends are cozy and well cared for. Finding a trustworthy sitter can be a tad stressful so I want your pet(s) to feel as loved as possible. Whether that's through lots of playtime, lots of pets, or just sitting with them and talking to them, I want them to feel comfortable!
Information Melissa M. would like to know about your pet
I like to know a dog or cat’s comfort level with pets and their favorite scratch spots. Also any training/routines that owners have, such as how often they should get treats, how they should be walked, etc. This is very important for me since it maintains stability and training habits for the pets while also keeping them as comfortable as possible during a stay/drop in. I also like to know their general temperament and how they get along with other pets and people (such as kids) to help with walks and time outside.
A typical day
I love taking dogs on walks, to the dog park (if that's what the owner likes for their pup!) to play fetch or run around, or playing with toys inside. I also love running and love to take dogs on runs! And while physical activity is important, I also understand that mental stimulation is also key to a happy pet. I love playing hide and seek with treats inside to get their sniffers going and there is no shortage of conversation going when I'm with any pet!

Pet care experience
I grew up with rottweilers and currently have a lovely kitty named Juniper. I also have experience with bunnies on rover! I love interacting with dog, cats, and bunnies of all shapes, sizes, and temperaments! I love going on walks, playing, and just hanging out with pets.
Reviews

Melissa is great! She took great care of Maggie while I was out of town and I look forward to booking with her again.

Melissa is great with my ki kids! They are always welcoming and love playing with her. She takes care of business and was helpful during time of need when one cat fell ill.

The ultimate in cat-sitting!

Thank you for dropping in on Cora while I was gone! She looks like she had fun as always!!
