“Genuinely an incredible cat sitter. Very attentive to detail, thoughtful, and friendly. Informative and thorough Rover Cards. Went above and beyond, even offering to take our trash to curb while away. Would 100% recommend for kittens or young cats.”

“Julia was amazing whie we were away! She dropped in on our two eldery dogs four times each day. Julia ensured that they ate their meals, took medicine, and spent considerable time at the house during each visit to keep them company. She was always quick to respond via text. This experience was so much better than boarding!”

“Emily was awesome. She was able to provide great drop-in care for my cat while I was away. She has obvious compassion for animals and makes sure they are well taken care of. I will definitely use her again.”

“Brianna took excellent care of our three cats during a recent vacation. She was great about sending photos, and spent longer than expected with our fur babies. We will be utilizing her services again!”

“11/10!! Erica is amazing! We are so glad our kitties are getting love and play time while we are away ❤️ also knowing our old lady kitty is getting her medication while we are away is so great. Thank you for everything!!!”

About: I have taken care of my dog since I was 10. Whenever I visit friends and family, I always show the dogs all the love, because they deserve it 🥰. I can handle anything from big dogs as well as the little ones with small dog syndrome! Im currently in medical school so I can spend plenty of time and walk between study session. My family is also often home to provide extra love and care for your pet! I always respect and follow any directions from the dogs’s owner. The well-being of all animals, including dogs of course, is very important to me.
“Super happy with the care I am getting with her visits with my pup! I’m new to rover and she has made this such a comfortable transition with me going back to work!”

“Wonderful first experience with Abbey! Great communication and my little Stella is usually so shy and barky to new people, but she warmed up instantly to Abbey on our initial meet and greet. I will definitely be booking again, thank you :)”

“Lara and Jonathon are nothing short of amazing and we are so thankful to have found them. We have two dogs who were both rescued from Amish puppy mills where they were kept in a tiny stall as mama breeders producing litter after litter of puppies for their whole lives, so they have incredible trauma and are very wary of trusting humans due to their pasts. Because of this, we consider them special needs dogs. Lara and jonathon are absolutely amazing with them, and I would not be able to ever leave town if I hadn’t found someone that I can completely trust and that has the patience and empathy to take care of our dogs. They are understanding and caring, and amazing at keeping us updated throughout the day. We have used them twice for 2 long trips and plan to continue in the future- they are so patient and loving with our dogs and have absolutely been a huge part of Cici and Layla’s recovery and rehabilitation journey. I couldn’t recommend them more. They follow directions perfectly and even dealt with our kitchen sink that started leaking when we were away. We are sooo grateful to have found them for our sweet girls!”
About: I've cared for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. From playful puppies to sweet senior dogs who need a little extra TLC. What sets me apart is my calm, patient approach and genuine love for animals. I focus on keeping your pet both happy and safe, whether that means a high-energy walk, a gentle stroll, or extra attention for special needs. I'm attentive to each dog’s unique routines, and I’m always looking out for their well-being. I have two dogs and a cat of my own, so I understand the attentiveness that goes into caring for a fur baby! I currently work night shifts four to five days a week, so my days are free and flexible, perfect for dog walking and daytime check-ins! I’m available for morning and afternoon walks, and I always make sure to give each pet my full attention and energy. My schedule allows me to build consistent routines with you and your pet! Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. Whether I’m walking your dog or caring for them in your home, I always follow your instructions closely and stick to your pet’s usual routine to help them feel secure. I take the time to build trust with each pet, earning their comfort through patience, kindness, and consistency. I’m attentive to their body language and energy levels, and I make sure they’re always in a safe, calm environment.
About: I’ve been watching dogs on Wag and Rover for 6+ years now! I’ve also volunteered at the Humane Society and therapeutic horses. I’m great with all sizes and types of dogs and the fur baby I have is extremely docile and has never hurt another human or animal (including bunnies, cats, and even guinea pigs 😂) I am currently unemployed so I have the daily availability to take care of your pet like it’s my own. We will go on at least 3 walks per day (unless told otherwise), and enjoy the summer sunshine while avoiding the deathly heat 🥵 I am always careful to never let their leash of out of my hands (unless told otherwise). I will treat them as if they were my own and won’t let them eat anything that looks suspicious.
“Gabriela is a great rover! She is always on time and updates her rover card. Bucky seems to love her, and I appreciate her consistency and flexibility with my schedule!”

Lizzi was awesome. This was our first time leaving our super social under 1 year old kitten and I was really nervous. It was so great seeing updates of Zuzu happily playing, sleeping, eating and drinking.. being her happy self while we were away. Lizzi’s communication and kindness made this all a really easy experience for each of us when usually leaving a pet for the first time is very anxiety inducing. Lizzi is exactly the person I was looking for to take perfect care of Zuzu while we were away. That lextra level of attention and care that goes beyond being in a safe place and being fed, but truly knowing that someone with experience and compassion has their best interest at heart.

Jeannine and Justin did a fabulous job with our kitties! Spice is elderly and needs medication and they were able to take care of that. She also often uses the bathtub as a litter box. They cleaned up after her a the house was in great condition upon our return. They were also extremely communicative and we received photos and an update each day. I would highly recommend them!

Emily has been great with our Lucy! You can tell she has a lot of experience and is a pet lover. Our Lucy who can be timid and high anxiety really took to Emily and even sat on her lap! Emily’s communication prior was great and she kept us informed on the visit including photos. We would highly recommend her especially if your pet has special needs.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
