About: I've raised and cared for my baby dog Lola also known as lolanaptimepartygirl since I was 10, pets have always played a very important role in my life. I love animals of all kinds and ages having 4 senior dogs of my own. I believe all animals deserve love and respect as they are not only friends but family, and it is truly an honor to get to exist in a world where we are able to connect with and care for such beautiful kind creatures. I work a part time job that's pretty flexible so I'm relatively available whenever. My schedule changes weekly so just let me know what you need and I'll make it work! I have a fenced in yard and gates that are available to be set up throughout the house. I am also able to crate your pet if needed.
“Kelly was great! She helped us out in a last minute bind. Sent great updates and photos and goose was very happy with her services! We always reach out when we need help”

“Samantha was incredibly responsive and offered to come meet our dogs before any services were booked to make sure everyone was comfortable. She took extra care with our rescue who needed a bit of extra support and was flexible in walking our other dog solo. We really enjoyed her updates and pictures from the visits.”

“Lizzi did an amazing job caring for my cat. She is thoughtful, professional and wonderful with animals. Jacamo is a little shy but in no time Lizzi became his fast friend. I really appreciate Lizzi for helping me out when I was in a bind for pet care. ??”

About: Caring for dogs has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up surrounded by dogs, cats, and other pets, so understanding their personalities and needs comes naturally. I've walked and cared for rescue dogs with a wide range of temperaments and energy levels at the dog shelter I've volunteered in. I've also dog sat for friends and family over the years, and have even helped care for Rover clients' dogs on behalf of friends who were sitters. These experiences have taught me how important it is to provide not just basic care, but patience, consistency, and lots of affection. I treat every dog as if they were my own, whether they love long walks, energetic playtime, or simply relaxing with good company. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while giving owners complete peace of mind through reliable care and regular updates. I'm employed full-time, but I have a flexible hybrid work schedule and can work from home when needed to provide attentive care for your pup. Pet care is a priority in my daily routine, and I intend to make time for walks, playtime, feeding, and plenty of attention. An added bonus is that my wife, who's an even bigger dog lover than I am and has owned dogs throughout her life, is home during the day. That means your pup will have extra companionship, supervision, and lots of affection while staying with us. On weekends, we're both home and can dedicate our full attention to keeping your dog active, happy, and comfortable. The best care comes from keeping pets comfortable by following the routine they're already familiar with. I'll stick to your feeding schedule, walking routine, potty breaks, playtime, bedtime, and any special instructions you provide. If your dog has medications, dietary restrictions, or favorite toys and activities, I'll make sure those needs are met. I enjoy playing with dogs, going on walks, and making sure they get both physical activity and time to relax. I also know how reassuring updates can be, so I'll send regular photos and messages so you can see how your pet is doing while you're away.
“We had such a great experience with Hannah. She took care of our cats for nearly two weeks and we felt completely at ease the entire time. We received regular updates and lots of photos. Wouldn’t hesitate to book with Hannah again!”

About: I’ve grown up around animals and have experience caring for dogs and cats for family, friends, and neighbors. I’m active, reliable, and attentive to routines, which helps pets feel comfortable and cared for while their owners are away. I love going on long walks, giving pets attention and playtime, and making sure they feel safe and happy. As a teacher, I’m patient, responsible, and detail-oriented, and I’ll always communicate clearly with pet parents and provide updates throughout visits! I am a full time teacher so I am available most evenings starting at 5pm and available some weekends. I am off for the summer soon and will then be available during the daytime on weekdays and on weekends when I’m not traveling! I understand that every animal has different needs and personalities, so I take time to help them feel comfortable and secure while their owners are away. I’m mindful during walks, careful with doors/leashes, and respectful of each client’s home and routines. I also believe communication is key, so I make sure pet parents receive updates and photos for peace of mind throughout each visit!

“We highly recommend Sarah. She communicated with us all the time and sent photos. Most of all she was so accommodating when we ran into issues with our travel plans. We will definitely use her again if she's available”

“This is my second time having Heather check in on my pup! She is so amazing! Always brings my pup, Kerby, little toys and treats! Kerby seems to love her too!! So thankful for her help!!”

“Rebecca was exactly the sitter you hope for when leaving your furbaby. Very responsive and responsible. Her care and attention for my kitty was clear through the daily updates.”

“Jessica has been great with our dogs. We had a few special instructions and she took care of everything we needed. Our dogs get let out twice a week by her, and sometimes she stays longer than we asked. She’s very good at updating our Rover account with all of the details and photos from each visit!”

About: I grew up with dogs and have been around them for most of my life, so caring for them has always felt natural to me. Over the years, I have also watched my neighbors’ dogs, providing feeding, walks, playtime, companionship, and plenty of attention while their owners were away. What sets me apart is that I am dependable, patient, and attentive to each dog’s individual personality and routine. I understand how important it is for pets to feel safe and comfortable when their owners are not home, and I will follow your care instructions closely. I am also happy to provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident that your dog is well cared for. I am currently not working leaving me available for stopping in for visits or taking for walks. I love exercise and being outside! To have a companion with me would be great! Your pet’s safety and comfort will always be my priority. During walks, I will use the leash and equipment you provide, remain aware of our surroundings, avoid unsafe situations, and follow any instructions regarding other dogs, people, traffic, or preferred walking routes. For drop-in visits, I will carefully follow your pet’s normal routine, including feeding, fresh water, bathroom breaks, playtime, and companionship. I will make sure doors, gates, and crates are securely closed before leaving. I will also respect your home, clean up after your pet as needed, and send updates and photos so you know your pet is safe and well cared for.
“Wonderful first experience with Abbey! Great communication and my little Stella is usually so shy and barky to new people, but she warmed up instantly to Abbey on our initial meet and greet. I will definitely be booking again, thank you :)”

Emily has been great with our Lucy! You can tell she has a lot of experience and is a pet lover. Our Lucy who can be timid and high anxiety really took to Emily and even sat on her lap! Emily’s communication prior was great and she kept us informed on the visit including photos. We would highly recommend her especially if your pet has special needs.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Bloomfield with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
