“Heather was super responsive and set me at ease with my first time utilizing Rover. She was very accommodating and I will absolutely utilize her again for drop ins when I am away in the future. Thank you again Heather. You were the highlight of Fig’s weekend as well!”

“Kelly is the best! She is always so communicative and flexible. She sends great updates and photos about her visits with Poppy which clearly show how much Poppy loves to see her!”

“Sarah was awesome! I instantly felt comfortable with her when we met her, and she took great care of our kitty for us while we were away for a weekend. We definitely want to book her again in the future!”
“Kevin is great with the cats, very attentive. He's great at keeping the litter boxes clean and cleaning up around them. Definitely stays at the top of my list, when I need a sitter.”

About: I have 1 cat at home and my partner has 1 dog who basically acts like a cat, so I am looking for an excuse to be around dogs (preferably <25 lbs) who may need some company. Friends and family have entrusted me with their pets for years (both for walks and overnight stays) and I take that responsibility incredibly seriously. I have a full-time hybrid position that has me at home on Mondays and Fridays with some flexibility from Tuesday - Thursday. On days when I am in the office, I will be home before 4:30pm for any afternoon feeding times. I am also available on weekends with advanced notice. I have a large unfenced yard and live less than a block away from a dedicated dog park. I have one small dog (15 lbs) and one cat who are happy to keep your pet company or can be kept in a different part of the house depending on your needs.

“Emily took wonderful care of our dogs and was able to administer difficult medications to one of our dogs. She was super communicative and sent pictures of our dogs. I will definitely be using her again when she’s available!”

About: Prior to moving to Detroit. I walked dogs for the my local shelter in Illinois. I’ve also watched friends and families pets for weeks at a time. I am almost always available on weekends, even early mornings or late at night. Weekdays I’m available after 4 pm to as late as 11 pm. Try to make the pets as comfortable as possible, I try to keep them entertained by playing with toys, taking long walks or even a trip to the dog park.
About: I have owned dogs my entire life (5 to be exact!) and currently have a 2 year old Biewer Terrier who is gentle and fun-loving. My husband and I absolutely love dogs and understand that pets truly are family members and deserve the best care. If you're looking for trustworthy, loving sitters, you have come to the right place! We look forward to taking care of your pup while you are away! I work from home and would love to look after well-behaved dogs of all ages! I can’t wait to spend time with your sweet pup! We live in a house with a big fenced yard, which is perfect for playtime. Our pup loves meeting new dogs but tends to be afraid of high-energy dogs.
“Erin was great! She was able to watch my dogs last minute and squeeze in a meet and greet the day before. She was reliable, prompt, and followed all of my detailed instructions. I sincerely appreciate her services!”

“Once again, Jen has brought us peace of mind, knowing our 3 cats will be in great care while we’re away. Our cats are super shy and she’s been able to gain their trust. Highly thought of and recommended!”
“We can always rely on Jess to come check in on our cat when we are out of town. She consistently goes above and beyond to take care of Gwen as well as our house. Highly recommend!”

About: Hi I’m 26 years old! I have grown up around dogs all my life and I have always loved walking with them and getting to see what they find interesting. I promise that the walk will be focused on the dog not on just getting the walk over with. I have two dogs at my childhood home that I help take care of and walk whenever I am home, so I know the importance of a walk for a dog! I’m a teacher who has summers off! I’m hoping to fill my summer time with taking some great dogs for some nice walks. So my schedule is currently flexible and I am able to take your dog out during the work day! I’ll work during the school year but I’ll be more free during the summer for walks! I have a fenced in back yard at home that can allow dogs to run around without a leash. Something about dogs is that they can really benefit from a nice walk where they go at their own pace! That’s my goal for walking your dog, whether it’s slow walks or a light job, I’m here to help!
“Very reliable and did a great job with our shy kitties. Gave them the time and space they needed while still tending to their needs. Ciaran followed all instructions to a T, sent us regular updates/photos and I will definitely book their services again in the future. Happy to have found Ciaran!”

“Catherine is amazing! This is my first Rover experience. I began using Rover because I started a new job, I have to go into the office and my dog needs to be let out during the day. At the same time I started my job, I started fostering a dog. With Catherine’s shelter experience, it was a natural fit! She has been a great asset while we’re all navigating our new normal. I couldn’t recommend Catherine enough!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Royal Oak
Susan was amazing with my 3 small dogs, especially my little boy Pom who is very skiddish! She followed all my instructions to a "T" and I'm a picky doggie mama lol! She gave all my pups lots of love and attention, too. They really loved her and I have lots of cute pics & videos she sent me to prove it! I would definitely hire Susan again to watch our pups (in our home)!

Katie was amazing with my pup! She came over to meet her before and made sure she was comfortable/set up for the best situation. She was so sweet and kind and was very flexible when I had to add an additional time for check-in. I will definitely be using her again and really appreciated how she was available last minute. Highly recommend for others!
Kat is absolutely the best!! She is really knowledgeable in animal care, especially with senior dogs like ours. My dogs immediately loved her, and she was giving them a lot of love. My partner and I work long hours and we feel so much better knowing that Kat is there to visit our dogs during the day. We will definitely book her again!!

This experience was absolutely the best! I received tons of photos and videos, and I felt very secure about Kona’s walk. She even went above and beyond by bringing extra water and helping him through an upset tummy. I couldn’t have been more excited for this visit, and I will definitely be rebooking in the future.

First time user of Rover. I went out of the country for two weeks and my normal dog sitter fell thru last minute. I went and used Rover after many people recommending. I messaged a few sitters and sally was the first to respond. I cant begin to express how happy I was with her services and providing a great experience for my dog and cat. She was very transparent, provided multiple updates and was very timely with all her visits during the two weeks I was gone. I booked her for 3x a day for two weeks and showed up with them all on time. I would definitely recommend her and will use her again for sure!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
