“Ally was amazing! She took such great care of my two cats. 🐈 🐈⬛ She sent fantastic detailed updates and lots of photos on every visit. Ally really went above and beyond. I am super grateful I found her. I will definitely be rebooking with her in the future!”

About: When I take care of pets, I treat your home as my own and go above and behind to treat your fur babies as I would my own. My compassion and work ethic make me a perfect candidate for any pet sitting job. I work full time in an office but am very used to taking care of pets in other people’s homes. Due to my work schedule, weekends are best since I am able to spend more time with the pets. However I am totally fine with commuting from other homes to my office if that works for my clients. I figure out what each pet needs and I act accordingly. I treat clients’ home (and their pets) as I would my own: respectfully and with great attention and care. I believe it’s important to be open and communicative with my clients to establish expectations with both the home and the pets.
About: Hi! I’m Kat! 🐾 I am new to Rover, I’m hopeful to start with walks and begin drop ins for fur babies. I have spent much of my life around & caring for animals, I’ve assisted in volunteer work at a shelter working with animals of all type & size! I have experience with animals with: special needs, medical conditions & special diets. Pet care & well being is my priority, I want to ensure a happy and comfortable experience for you & your animal companion. Currently, I’m working part time! I’m hoping to spend more time with animals outside, I am an outdoor enthusiast. I have a flexible schedule and am eager to spread some joy and love! I’d love to eventually transition to working with animals full time. Health, safety and well being of an animal is a priority to me, in my personal life and in the experience I have caring for animals, it is not something I take a risk on and is my priority as a guardian and caretaker, I do not take any chances with possibilities of potential harm or safety of an animal. I also keep extra leashes, bowls, bathroom bags and safety gear in my car at all times just in case. I carry water with me on walks as well for our furry friend!
About: Hi! I'm David. I grew up in Michigan surrounded by dogs and farm animals. Labrador Retrievers were the family favorite, however, I rescued a Basset Hound Mix during the pandemic. One of my college jobs was working at a doggy daycare center. I was quickly promoted to manager and ended up rolling out a marketing plan for the business. It was a blast! I live in Metro Detroit (Oak Park) and am currently "funemployed" which means I have all the time in the world to take care of your furry companions! I take pride in my ability to be patient, gentle, responsible, and fun with all kinds of dogs, sizes, and ages. I have vast and diverse experience taking care of animals including dogs, cats, chickens, turkeys, horses, and birds. During college, I volunteered at various humane societies and frequently dog sat for friends and relatives. I was also instrumental in co-training a Golden Retriever to be a service dog. That was a highly rewarding experience. My approach to dog care is to start with the owner and get to know the dog through their eyes. I then channel that love and devotion to esteemed care, ensuring that walks are done frequently, food is out at a responsible time, and that enough attention is spent with the dog. I'm an outdoors guy and walk whenever I get the chance, so rest assured that your dog will get a healthy amount of outside time. If you've made it this far and like what you've read, let's schedule a meet-and-greet! I take my pup for walks at least four times a day, and let her roam free in my fenced in backyard. I provide attention and care throughout the day! I'm very respectful not only of my client's pets, but also their homes. I'm very trustworthy and neat/tidy. I've dog sat in many homes both for the day and overnight. I treat other people's property as if it were my own.
About: Hi! I'm Jenna. I'm reliable, attentive, and I genuinely treat every dog like my own. I've spent a lot of time around dogs with different personalities, from high-energy ones that need a lot of movement to more sensitive or anxious dogs that need a calmer approach. I pay attention to body language and try to make sure they feel comfortable and safe, especially in new situations. I'm pretty active and love being outside, so your dog will get plenty of exercise and attention. I'm also consistent and detail-oriented, so l'll follow your routine and instructions closely. I'll always send updates with photos so you know how things are going. Whether your dog needs a good walk, some playtime, or just someone calm and reliable, l've got it covered. I work part-time so I am flexible with my availability. I control my own schedule and usually can accommodate last minute pet needs. I can also do regular, repeat schedules. I focus on keeping dogs calm, safe, and comfortable by paying close attention to their behavior and energy. I follow your routine as closely as possible, including feeding, walks, and any specific instructions you have. I’m confident handling strong or high-energy dogs and make sure walks are controlled and structured. I’m also respectful of your home and will always keep things clean and secure. You’ll get updates and photos so you always know how your dog is doing.
“Mark did an excellent job checking in on my cat while I was away! I will definitely be rebooking with him again in the future and would recommend him to others in the Ferndale area!”

About: I have had pets my entire life. I went through some obedience training with my last dog. My daughter is 13 and has been around dogs all her life as well. We would love to cuddle and play with your dog while they are in our care! We have a big fenced-in yard and a great neighborhood for walks. We are available to board your dog on weekends, in particular, but weekdays as well if they are able to be inside for a long portion of the day. We are also available to do evening and weekend drop ins and/or walks. We are very recently pet free so all our love will go to your pet! I work full-time, Monday through Friday. I do work one Saturday/month but have a day off in the week. My daughter is in school until 3:30. Depending on the time of year, she may be home by 3:45. She does participate in a fall sport and dance so some evenings we are gone for about 90 minutes while she is at dance class. Our weekends are generally very open, but we would not take a dog on weekends we had limited availability. We have a large, fenced-in yard and live in a family-friendly neighborhood. We would follow all guidelines for walking, bed time, feeding, etc. provided by the pet parent. We will treat your dog as our own.
About: Hello! I am an active and reliable animal lover with years of experience pet-sitting. I value open communication and strive to offer my clients peace of mind while their fur babies are in my care. I specialize in high-energy dogs that need a good long walk/run to be happy/healthy (and sane 😅). But I promise I'm also great with mellow couch potatoes. And I excel at belly rubs! I am a medical student trying to save up to pay for my final semester of medical school, studying for board exams, and hopefully getting to hang out with some awesome pets while doing so. My schedule is wide open and flexible for house-sitting, drop-ins, and walks/runs. I am flexible, accommodating, and can do last-minute requests! I understand that fur-babies are part of the family, and I treat them with the love, respect, and dignity they deserve. I pride myself in treating each pet as in individual and respecting any schedules and guidelines offered by the family. This is one of the reasons why meet 'n greets are so important, and I am more than happy to meet beforehand when the circumstances allow.
“Rachel is absolutely the best dog sitter we've ever worked with. Her timing was prompt, her communication was fantastic, and she went over and above on multiple occasions, including gracefully working with our oldest dog who had been scared by fireworks, making sure all of our pups' needs were met. We can't thank her enough!”
About: Everyone thinks I have a sixth sense with animals, they just seem to feel automatically at ease with me! But of course, the owner is also important, so I am committed to following your instructions meticulously because I recognize that each pet has unique requirements. As a dedicated and detail-oriented individual, I closely monitor your dog's behavior to ensure they receive everything they need—whether it's pets, cuddles, playtime, potty time, or treats! I specialize in senior care and am skilled in administering multiple medications, ensuring they take them without any attempts to hide. Always being sure to keep a close eye on their immediate needs. I know patience is crucial in my approach, a quality I learned through caring for my prior senior dog. Your pet's well-being and happiness are my top priorities. Incorporating pet care into my daily and weekly routine revolves around adapting to their specific needs. I work from home on Fridays and Mondays, allowing plenty time for extended walks and play sessions. During weekends, my schedule is highly flexible as I don't have children or a dog of my own at the moment. I have a partially fenced yard where I can supervise your dog while they're on a tether. However, I prefer taking them for walks around the neighborhood, or if you're comfortable with it, exploring trails. I am extremely attentive and vigilant during these outings.
“very communicative! i love that jennifer was able to tolerate my pebble's neediness and even check on moose who happened to be hiding under blankets! would definitely book with her again!”

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life and have found a lot of joy in spending time with dogs, whether that be walking, playing or just hanging out! I work part time currently so I have a very flexible schedule! This allows me to stop by multiple times a day if needed—whatever keeps your pup happy! Making sure I’m aware of my surroundings and prioritizing the pet’s safety is always first. Being conscious of where we are, what risks may be posed, and what kind of animals are around is something I stay aware of.
“Catherine is amazing! This is my first Rover experience. I began using Rover because I started a new job, I have to go into the office and my dog needs to be let out during the day. At the same time I started my job, I started fostering a dog. With Catherine’s shelter experience, it was a natural fit! She has been a great asset while we’re all navigating our new normal. I couldn’t recommend Catherine enough!”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover with years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages and personalities. I’ve raised and trained my two family dogs since they were puppies, handling things like daily walks, feeding, exercise, and basic obedience training. I’ve also helped care for neighbors’ and friends’ pets through drop-ins and pet sitting, and I genuinely enjoy getting to know each pet’s unique personality and routine. Pet care fits naturally into my routine since I already care for my two cats and two dogs every day. I’m currently working part-time as a server, but I still have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to provide reliable pet care, check-ins, walks, feeding, playtime, and attention. I’m used to balancing responsibilities and staying organized, so I can consistently make sure pets are cared for and comfortable while their owners are away. I always prioritize keeping pets safe, comfortable, and stress-free. I have experience caring for both cats and dogs with different personalities and energy levels, so I’m patient and attentive to each pet’s needs. I carefully follow feeding schedules, walk routines, and any other care requests from owners.
“I could not recommend Alaine enough. She was excellent with communication (cute pics/vids of our little guy, how her check-ins went with him, just all the things). She took excellent care of our cat and he clearly loved her so much!! I definitely recommend reaching out to Alaine for help with your pets, because she clearly has a passion and love for them. Thank you, Alaine!! We definitely hope to work together again soon. :)”

About: I have cared for family, friends, and neighbors pets since I was young. I have cared for puppies, adults, and seniors. First hand experience with reactive and anxious dogs. I am known for my patience and my genuine love for dogs! My schedule is flexible currently and can be adjusted to meet your pets needs! I do require booking 48 hours in advance for planning. Open to both weekly appointments and/or just when needed! When staying with your pet I will follow the routine that you have established with them. Including lots of extra love and attention to ease the stress of being apart! I will send a photo or video every day that they are in my care. For daytime care I am happy to stop by for a potty and play session or a walk when you need a hand! I have completed training classes (basics, dog reactivity) through K-9 Turbo. Happy to support reactive dogs working on walking and redirecting to positive reinforcements! I promise to love your pet like my own.
“Katherine has been great with our dog Holly! She has done several drop-in visits with her during the day while we are at work. She is very communicative, follows our instructions to a T, and always sends cute photos. Would definitely recommend Katherine for anyone looking for a responsible sitter to watch your pet!”

“Krystal is coming by for regular check-ins on my two large dogs, three days a week. She is communicative, patient, and kind with my pups, and knowing she will be there to give them affection, treats, and a potty break each day definitely relieves my stress! I highly recommend her.”

Oak Park dog parents share their Rover experiences
Jessica has been great with our dogs. We had a few special instructions and she took care of everything we needed. Our dogs get let out twice a week by her, and sometimes she stays longer than we asked. She’s very good at updating our Rover account with all of the details and photos from each visit!

Kelly is absolutely fantastic. She is super communicative when taking care of my pup, sends photos, is extremely timely, and my pup looks like she is having the best time. She took the time to do a Meet and Greet with us ahead of time and it made us feel super comfortable. We've had a great experience and would highly recommend her.

Winnie was awesome! Super easy to communicate with and made everything really stress-free for us. Our puppy Poppy absolutely loved her and we could tell she got tons of love and attention. Winnie is super trustworthy and reliable — we felt totally comfortable leaving Poppy in her hands. We’ll definitely be booking with her again!

Lisa was great with our dog Finn! She gave us daily updates and was wonderful with him. He loved the way she walked him and was very energetic. She even helped with some of the things we forgot to do when we left on our trip. Great care and would highly recommend her!! Thanks Lisa!
