“Jackie is the only one we trust to watch our boy Nigel. She is absolutely fantastic with him and sends the best updates and pictures! She is super on top of things and communicative too. We love working with Jackie and know you will too!”

About: I’ve had pets my whole life and have grown up around a large variety. I’ve pet sat and dog walked for friends and neighbors over the years off and on. I currently I have very open availability this summer. I will update that as my schedule changes. Feel free to ask if you have any questions. I’m very attentive to pets in my home and make sure that they are in safe environments with everything they need. I am very respectful in other people’s homes and make sure the pets are well taken care of.
“Jillian has been very patient with our very anxious, very sweet foster dog Ralphie. She gives him the time and space to get comfortable, as he has unfortunately been mistrained for 5 years to be distrustful of new people by his previous owner. Her communication is clear and prompt. Will definitely book her again!”

About: I've had dogs all my life, I've also been a sitter for dogs periodically over the last 20 years. My dog would love to have more friends around and I have an unlimited amount of love to give for all the doggos of the world. I work remotely from home (only occasionally go into the office), so I'm almost always available to dogsit, visit, walk - whatever is needed for your dog. I have a fenced in yard with plenty of room for dogs to run around. I also live in a friendly and safe neighborhood. I also have flexibility to accommodate your dog's specific needs.
“Ally is amazing she was so good with my pup and was very helpful with it being my first time using Rover, she is a great communicator and was able to follow his routine to a t! I will definitely be using her again for any of my future needs🫶🏻”

“very communicative! i love that jennifer was able to tolerate my pebble's neediness and even check on moose who happened to be hiding under blankets! would definitely book with her again!”

About: I’m an animal lover through and through! Tragically, my landlord doesn’t allow pets, so I get my fill of snuggles and belly rubs through pet sitting and volunteering at animal shelters. I understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy and reliable to care for your pet, and it’s a responsibility I take seriously. I especially enjoy working with anxious pets and helping them feel safe and comfortable. I’ve yet to meet a cat or dog I couldn’t eventually win over. High-energy zoomers, cuddle bugs, divas- I love them all! I have open availability through the end of August before I begin graduate school. Send me a message and let’s chat about how I can give your pet the care and attention they deserve! I have open availability through the end of August, after which I start grad school. After that I’ll be available most Tuesday’s, Thursday’s, and weekends ☺️ I treat clients’ homes with the utmost respect and follow all house rules. It’s a privilege to care for your furry babies and a responsibility that I take very seriously.
About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life! I’ve been caring for pets since I was 8 years old and currently have a dog of my own. I know every pet has their own unique personality and routine, and I’m happy to provide loving, reliable care. I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, house sitting, and have a flexible schedule. I am a social worker and am on the road a lot so I have plenty of flexibility to drop in and see pets in the mornings and evenings. I have many years of experience taking care of animals so I am familiar with walking dogs, feeding, crating, and love playing with pets! Caring for pets is a huge passion of mine.
“Jason was amazing. I would recommend him as a sitter for your dog, cats and as a chicken checker...lol. Jason took great care of our dog on his drop ins and did a few extras too, like took an Amazon package in. Jason was reliable and had great communication. We will definitely use his services again.”

“Great communication, went above and beyond, and the animals really seemed to be happy! So easy to work with. I would be happy to have Jess watch my cats again, such a great job!”

“Rachel is the greatest! She's done drop-ins for our pups on two separate occasions and always goes above and beyond. She's always on schedule, shows such deep care for our dogs and home, is exceptionally communicative, and is so fantastic to work with all around. You may not be able to find a better dog helper in the world!”
About: Whether your pet stays with me or I care for them in your home, your dog (s) will receive the same level of care I give my own pets—fresh food and water, regular meals, exercise, playtime, affection, and close attention to their individual needs. Further, I have experience with administering medicine such as eye drops, ingestible liquids/pills, and shots. My goal is to make every pet feel comfortable, loved, and well cared for while you're away, giving you peace of mind that they're in capable hands. I’ve been surrounded by furry friends my entire life! When I was a kid, my family had two dogs along with other animals, providing me with a foundation for loving and caring for pets. Since then, family and friends have trusted me to provide pet care services including pet sitting- feeding, play, and providing overnight company. I have 24 years of experience with small and medium sized dogs. Care for dogs is my only profession, allowing me to give your dog my full attention. My home is safe, welcoming, and open, and my friendly dog loves having dog visitors to play with. Your dog will be free to roam my home- welcome on the furniture- and have plenty of space to run in my large fenced in yard. Additionally, I am located near the heart of Dowtown Royal Oak for dogs who are excited by people and other dogs, as well as several parks with open spaces within walking distance. I currently have a four dog limit for boarding and pet sitting. I’m home full time, so I’m able to provide pets care with my full attention. Whether morning, afternoon, or night I’m available round the clock to fit you and your pets schedule and needs. I’m happy to provide care in your home or mine! My home is safe, welcoming, and cat-friendly, and my friendly dog loves having canine visitors to play with. I have a large fenced in yard dogs both small and big can enjoy and many local parks within walking distance!
“Krystal did such a great job taking care of my cat Kiwi! Great stories about their visits together, even better photos, & she brought him a little toy that is one of his new favorites :) Would definitely book with her again next time I’m out of town.”

About: I have had pets my entire life. I went through some obedience training with my last dog. My daughter is 13 and has been around dogs all her life as well. We would love to cuddle and play with your dog while they are in our care! We have a big fenced-in yard and a great neighborhood for walks. We are available to board your dog on weekends, in particular, but weekdays as well if they are able to be inside for a long portion of the day. We are also available to do evening and weekend drop ins and/or walks. We are very recently pet free so all our love will go to your pet! I work full-time, Monday through Friday. I do work one Saturday/month but have a day off in the week. My daughter is in school until 3:30. Depending on the time of year, she may be home by 3:45. She does participate in a fall sport and dance so some evenings we are gone for about 90 minutes while she is at dance class. Our weekends are generally very open, but we would not take a dog on weekends we had limited availability. We have a large, fenced-in yard and live in a family-friendly neighborhood. We would follow all guidelines for walking, bed time, feeding, etc. provided by the pet parent. We will treat your dog as our own.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Oak Park
Jessica has been great with our dogs. We had a few special instructions and she took care of everything we needed. Our dogs get let out twice a week by her, and sometimes she stays longer than we asked. She’s very good at updating our Rover account with all of the details and photos from each visit!

Winnie was awesome! Super easy to communicate with and made everything really stress-free for us. Our puppy Poppy absolutely loved her and we could tell she got tons of love and attention. Winnie is super trustworthy and reliable — we felt totally comfortable leaving Poppy in her hands. We’ll definitely be booking with her again!

Lisa was great with our dog Finn! She gave us daily updates and was wonderful with him. He loved the way she walked him and was very energetic. She even helped with some of the things we forgot to do when we left on our trip. Great care and would highly recommend her!! Thanks Lisa!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
