“Camille is professional, responsive and a great communicator. I had a trip that was last minute and she was very flexible and accommodating. I know my kitty was in great hands. I will be working with Camille again!”

“She did exactly what I wanted and more. I have a very shy cat, she was patient with her, and let her come out at her own pace. Sent a text and accompanying picture each day , as requested. Very pleased with her performance. Will use her a again.”

About: I have grown up loving and caring for dogs of my own as well as others. I have always been the person people always call when they have some kind of animal emergency. I absolutely love animals and know a lot about taking care of them and many different types. They will get lots of attention and quality care from me. I will spoil your baby as much as you will let me! I can administer any medication necessary. My dog takes pain meds twice a day so we are already on a medication routine. I have a flexible schedule so I can meet most needs. I keep in contact with you asap if there are any changes that are needed I live in a charming small house in the corner of Ferndale and a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood. I have a fully fenced in backyard that is about 97% privacy fence. There’s one little corner where my dog can talk to the dog in back through a chain-link fence. Lots of shade and grass
“Kelly was wonderful! We were in a scramble after our initial dog sitter had to cancel, and we’re recommended to try Rover very last minute, and we were lucky enough to find Kelly. We have an older dog who is pretty anxious, especially with new people. She was able to set a meet and greet with us and our dog prior to us leaving. This put us and our dog at ease. She provided updates everyday that we were gone and photos of your pup too! I would highly recommend Kelly to anyone who needs a reliable and trustworthy person to watch their pet.”

“Suzanne did a wonderful job with our fur babies. Our girl cat can be cranky or a sweetheart and Suzanne knew how to bring the sweetheart out of her. She sent delightful photos of Peanut rubbing all up and down her leg in greeting and running around the house excitedly playing or having zoomies. We knew our cat was in good hands with her from the very beginning - just a vibe - but she proved to be responsible, attentive, and definitely went the extra mile to make sure we knew Peanut was being loved, food and maintenance was being taken care of, and that our other pets were also safe.”
“Madeleine was very nice, respectful, and helpful while taking care of my cats. There were a couple of minor hiccups—she arrived late on the first day and spent quite a bit of time on her phone rather than actively playing with the cats—but overall, she provided good care, and everything went well.”

“Ashley did a great job communicating the visits she had at my home I appreciated her loving care and attention to details. Plus, her humor in accepting the silly dog and chickens I letting her charge. Everything looked great when I returned home.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for the last 10 years. Friends and family rely on me to help walk their dogs, provide drop-in visits, and even house sit while they are away. I currently work 3 days a week as a registered nurse. My other 4 days of the week are open, and provide me with lots of time to care for your furry friend 🐾 I have a greyhound at home, which has given me over 10+ years of experience taking big dogs out for a walk and keeping the house secure.
“Ally has been amazing with Gunther! She is very good about communication and providing updates. Leaves the house in great shape. He is always so happy to see her and know he’s well taken care of!”

About: Animals have always been one of my greatest passions and being able to work with them is a dream come true. I personally have owned and taken care of dogs, tropical and freshwater fish, small pets, and cats. I’ve also spent time volunteering at animal shelters and have experience in house-sitting and pet-sitting locally. I’m currently enrolled in evening cosmetology classes 5-10pm Mon-Thurs and work Saturday mornings 8-3. Otherwise I’m mostly a homebody who enjoys spending time with my pets and outside. I have a couple of my own pets so I’d rather not keep other pets at my place for extended periods of time (unless they’re fully up to date on vaccines, shots, and behavioral training), but I’m happy to assist in anyway I can at your house. I can do basic cleaning and of course pet care such as walking, watering, feeding, taking outside, playing, etc.. I can lock the house and leave the key in a predetermined location if needed. I’m happy to follow any house rules, special instructions, and anything extra needed for the pets, including medications or continuing ongoing training.
“Audrey was a lifesaver as I needed to find someone last minute to drop-in on Henry a few nights this week. I could tell he would be in good hands as soon as we met. Henry took to her immediately. Could not recommend her more!”

“Rhea was extremely dedicated and responsive to their needs and checked in with me consistently to assure they had what they need and that I was aware of any issues. Loved all the pictures she provided during each check in!”

“Jessica has been great with our dogs. We had a few special instructions and she took care of everything we needed. Our dogs get let out twice a week by her, and sometimes she stays longer than we asked. She’s very good at updating our Rover account with all of the details and photos from each visit!”

“Tara is a great cat sitter! She was very patient with and loving toward my standoffish cat, very prepared for everything required for catsitting, and willing to go above and beyond when I needed it while I was away. I would definitely recommend her as a catsitter and am looking forward to working with her again in the future!”

“Gary obviously loves animals and they love him! He took great care of our pups at our house while we were out of town for a weekend. He also watered our plants which was super helpful.”

“Lavina did a great job taking care of my cats. Even when they were being shy and hiding under the bed, she spent time in the room with them. She gives good updates and responds quickly to questions.”

“Shelbi is absolutely amazing and so communicative about even the small details. I know my pups are in good hands when she comes by to drop in or walk them! I definitely recommend using her and she is my go to each and every time!! Thank you Shelbi for being you and taking such great care of Frank and Beans ;)”

About: I grew up with many different animals at home and I loved to take care of them and play with them. I also had dogs and was able to breed and enjoy 12 puppies. I also take care of my neighbors two dogs when they go on vacation or extended weekends. Now I have a Doberman for the last 6 years and she is a smart and loving companion and I trained her to be a service dog. I know how to respond if your furry friend should get sick and have great contacts to a veterinarian hospital. I left corporate world in December last year and are now enjoying retirement. I will have plenty of time to accommodate and play with your furry friend. I have a single family home with fenced in yard to accommodate your dog and to play with Piper, my 6 year old Doberman girl.

About: I have 1 cat at home and my partner has 1 dog who basically acts like a cat, so I am looking for an excuse to be around dogs (preferably <25 lbs) who may need some company. Friends and family have entrusted me with their pets for years (both for walks and overnight stays) and I take that responsibility incredibly seriously. I have a full-time hybrid position that has me at home on Mondays and Fridays with some flexibility from Tuesday - Thursday. On days when I am in the office, I will be home before 4:30pm for any afternoon feeding times. I am also available on weekends with advanced notice. I have a large unfenced yard and live less than a block away from a dedicated dog park. I have one small dog (15 lbs) and one cat who are happy to keep your pet company or can be kept in a different part of the house depending on your needs.

I’ve been using Rover since 2018 and Jeannine has watched my boys (two kitties) since the beginning. And even though my Ludi and Otto are a bit on the bougie side; especially, the ginger, they love having their visits from Jeannine and I can rest easy knowing they will be well taken care of when I go out of town. Sitter for life! 😻🫶🏻

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
