“Kara did a great job with a drop in visit for my anxious German Shepherd! She made the process so easy and took great care of my pup. Looking forward to booking her again for future drop in visits!”

“Suzanne did a wonderful job with our fur babies. Our girl cat can be cranky or a sweetheart and Suzanne knew how to bring the sweetheart out of her. She sent delightful photos of Peanut rubbing all up and down her leg in greeting and running around the house excitedly playing or having zoomies. We knew our cat was in good hands with her from the very beginning - just a vibe - but she proved to be responsible, attentive, and definitely went the extra mile to make sure we knew Peanut was being loved, food and maintenance was being taken care of, and that our other pets were also safe.”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter than David! From the moment he met our dogs, they bonded with him instantly and were genuinely excited to see him each day while we were away. David’s communication was outstanding—he kept us consistently updated with messages and photos, which gave us great peace of mind. It was clear he genuinely cared for our dogs and made sure they felt loved and comfortable in our absence. He also treated our home with great respect and care, as if it were his own. We highly recommend David to anyone looking for a reliable, kind, and professional sitter. We will definitely be reaching out to him again in the future!”

“Rhea did a great job with Spock and took pictures so I could see how he was doing! I got home to a happy kitty and I appreciate her also bringing in a few packages I got. Thanks so much!”

“Ashley was good with our cats and dog, and was always easy to reach! Her communication was great and she sent pictures, too. I will definitely book Ashley again. Thank you, Ashley!”
“This was our first experience with Rover. Kristin did a great job dropping in to visit, feed and let out our new puppy. I loved the photos she sent! We will definitely book her again.”

I carry water with me on walks as well for our furry friend!
“Maria was amazing with our cats while we were away! We have an older cat that needs to be fed twice a day for health issues he has. She was always on time with feedings and took extra time to play with the kitties and keep them company. Would definitely rebook with Maria and recommend booking with her to others!”
“Excellent sitter! We appreciated the entertaining recaps of visits with our shy cat. We didn't worry about our cat at all with Carissa, it was 100% trust! Whereas in the past we've had high anxiety over less exceptional sitting situations. Carissa is an asset to pet owners in the area!”

“Jessica has been great with our dogs. We had a few special instructions and she took care of everything we needed. Our dogs get let out twice a week by her, and sometimes she stays longer than we asked. She’s very good at updating our Rover account with all of the details and photos from each visit!”

“Amanda was great with my black lab! She visited my home when I was at work to let my dog out. Amanda provided my dog with lots of play time, a walk, and sent plenty of pictures. Would highly recommend her services! 🐕🦺🐾”

“Gary obviously loves animals and they love him! He took great care of our pups at our house while we were out of town for a weekend. He also watered our plants which was super helpful.”

“We can always rely on Jess to come check in on our cat when we are out of town. She consistently goes above and beyond to take care of Gwen as well as our house. Highly recommend!”

“Kelly was wonderful. We were headed out of town, and completely forgot to schedule someone to check in on our Cat. Kelly responded quickly, and was able to visit on the days requested. She was very kind, responsive, and helpful. She even brought in a few packages we had sitting on our front porch! If you are looking for someone to come in and check on your pet, I can't recommend Kelly enough.”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs all my life. I’ve been a dog/cat/house sitter before on and off especially during covid. I love long walks, play time and cuddles. Making your pet happy would make me happy too. I miss living at home with family pet. Currently I work part time as hairstylist working on building there clientele. I would be availbe for morning and late walks during my working days . On my days off I will have way more availability even mid day availablity for walks. House sitting nights can vary a little depending on my schedule but am pretty flexible. My house is not available for sitting. When staying at your place I will let dog/cat out into back yard leashed if no fence. Even if there is a fence I will be there watching the dog/cat. When comming in and leaving the house I will lock all doors for mine and pets safety. I will follow any other instructions of home owner .
“Lavina was great! She took care of our two cats while we were out of the country for our wedding. She provided regular updates and photos So we didn’t have to worry at all. Our cats really enjoyed having her stop by. We would definitely use her services again.”

“Catherine was fantastic with our kitty! We rarely have non-family stay with Olive, and being away for 2 weeks was a little worrisome—until we met Catherine. We immediately felt comfortable and knew she was the right fit. For 14 days, Catherine sent great updates and photos. She took time to know and love Olive. When we returned from our trip, our kitty was happy and well care for. Everything went perfectly and we hope to use Catherine’s service again if we find ourselves needing pet care. She’s fantastic !”

- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
