Aloha! I’m Rhea – Your Pup’s Next Favorite Human 🐾 Originally from Hawaii, I now call Detroit home and work full-time with the City. My journey brought me here in 2015 after graduating from the University of San Francisco—and dogs have been a constant part of my life every step of the way. I’ve been dog sitting and caring for pups for over 15 years, but it goes deeper than that—dogs are part of my family. I’m a proud dog mom to a 6.5-year-old fur baby who’s taught me patience, unconditional love, and how to really tune into a dog’s needs. I’ve worked one-on-one with a trainer to better understand canine behavior and body language, so your pup’s comfort and safety are always my top priority. Fun fact: I even helped manage construction of Detroit’s new animal shelter—so you could say my love for dogs goes beyond just cuddles and playtime (though I’m great at that too!). Whether your dog is high-energy, shy, or somewhere in between, I’ll care for them like my own—with love, patience, and lots of tail wags. Hope to meet you and your fur baby soon!

I care for every dog as if they were my own. I take time to understand their personality and read their body language to ensure they feel safe and comfortable. I let the dog approach me at their own pace and always use positive reinforcement to build trust. Whether in my home or yours, your pup will be treated with love, patience, and respect.

Rhea took great care of the cats and went above and beyond when the front door lock malfunctioned. She even got the super shy cat to trust her! I will definitely ask Rhea to help again the next time I go out of town.
Rhea was very communicative and sent great updates. My two cats felt really comfortable with her and I would recommend her to anyone. :)

Amazing first visit with our fur buddy. Rhea was so sweet meeting him and took photos of their walk. Worth the extra fee for full hour. Will definitely use her again on our next trip to Detroit.
We love Rhea! She is incredible with our anxious dog, and we feel at ease leaving him with her.

Schema
I work Monday- Friday, but I’m available to check on your pups and take them for a walk before or after work. I’m flexible all day Saturday and Sunday.
