“Our cats had a wonderful experience with Renee while we were away for about a week. They warmed up to her surprisingly quickly and even played with her. She was attentive to each cat’s individual needs and quirks and clearly took the time to get to know all their personalities. I genuinely looked forward to her daily updates. Her notes were funny and spot-on, especially the little oddities and questionable choices our knuckleheads make, and the photos were a highlight. We came home to happy, relaxed cats who were clearly well cared for. I wouldn’t hesitate to book Renee again and highly recommend her.”

“It was just a first meet-and-greet, but Rebekah communicated clearly, was friendly, and seemed to put Ralphie at ease. Will definitely contact her for future drop-in and house sitting needs!”

“Kevin did a terrific job watching my cat, providing daily updates and a plethora of pictures. I will definitely book with him again the next time that I use Rover and would recommend him to anyone.”

“Kara did a great job with a drop in visit for my anxious German Shepherd! She made the process so easy and took great care of my pup. Looking forward to booking her again for future drop in visits!”

“Carissa was fantastic. She got my three cats coming out for pets. She also sent fantastic updates from each day along with great pics and sometimes videos. I will be booking Carissa again for sure!”

“Shelbi is absolutely amazing and so communicative about even the small details. I know my pups are in good hands when she comes by to drop in or walk them! I definitely recommend using her and she is my go to each and every time!! Thank you Shelbi for being you and taking such great care of Frank and Beans ;)”

“Myranda did an amazing job with my cat, Hank. She went above and beyond to make sure he was taken care of and to help keep me at ease while I was away for a week on a trip. Will definitely use her again!!”

About: I’ve grown up around animals and have experience caring for dogs and cats for family, friends, and neighbors. I’m active, reliable, and attentive to routines, which helps pets feel comfortable and cared for while their owners are away. I love going on long walks, giving pets attention and playtime, and making sure they feel safe and happy. As a teacher, I’m patient, responsible, and detail-oriented, and I’ll always communicate clearly with pet parents and provide updates throughout visits! I am a full time teacher so I am available most evenings starting at 5pm and available some weekends. I am off for the summer soon and will then be available during the daytime on weekdays and on weekends when I’m not traveling! I understand that every animal has different needs and personalities, so I take time to help them feel comfortable and secure while their owners are away. I’m mindful during walks, careful with doors/leashes, and respectful of each client’s home and routines. I also believe communication is key, so I make sure pet parents receive updates and photos for peace of mind throughout each visit!
“We have been using Ryan for in-home visits. Since the initial meet and greet, he got along great with my dog. Ryan took notes to remember the pet’s preferences and commands. Ryan’s Rover cards have sweet pics and a detailed summary of the visit It’s clear that Ryan loves dogs and is great with them. For example, he adjusts my dogs bedding in his crate before leaving him, which is a very nice touch. My dog loves him and I feel that my dog is in great hands with Ryan.”
“Ashely was incredible! My wife and I used rover for the first time and wanted someone trustworthy that was great with animals. We’re so glad we found Ashely! She too such good care of our 2 cats when we were away and sent is lots of pictures while we were away. She did an amazing job and we will definitely recommend her to friends and family.”

About: Hi there! I’m a lifelong dog lover with hands-on experience caring for pups of all sizes and energy levels. My pet care journey began while working at a professional dog daycare/boarding kennel, where I gained experience with canine behavior, feeding schedules, and administering medication. That experience gave me a solid foundation in safety, structure, and understanding dogs’ unique needs. Outside of that, I’ve been the go-to dog sitter and walker for friends and family for years. Whether it’s overnight boarding or daily walks, I’m known for being reliable, punctual, and genuinely loving toward every dog I meet. I treat every pet like they’re my own—with lots of affection, attention, and tailored care. I pride myself on creating a safe, fun, and comforting environment whether your pup is boarding or just a walk around the block. You can count on me to communicate clearly, show up on time, and make sure your dog gets the love, exercise, and care they deserve. I’m currently working part-time and have open availability for dog walking Sunday-Tuesday, anytime before 10am on Wednesdays, after 1pm on Thursdays, and after 3pm Friday & Saturday. Boarding availability can be discussed :) Whether I’m staying overnight or just spending the day, I’m committed to providing a calm, caring environment where your pup feels safe and loved. I treat every dog like family and always focus on their comfort, routine, and happiness.
“Lara and Jonathon are nothing short of amazing and we are so thankful to have found them. We have two dogs who were both rescued from Amish puppy mills where they were kept in a tiny stall as mama breeders producing litter after litter of puppies for their whole lives, so they have incredible trauma and are very wary of trusting humans due to their pasts. Because of this, we consider them special needs dogs. Lara and jonathon are absolutely amazing with them, and I would not be able to ever leave town if I hadn’t found someone that I can completely trust and that has the patience and empathy to take care of our dogs. They are understanding and caring, and amazing at keeping us updated throughout the day. We have used them twice for 2 long trips and plan to continue in the future- they are so patient and loving with our dogs and have absolutely been a huge part of Cici and Layla’s recovery and rehabilitation journey. I couldn’t recommend them more. They follow directions perfectly and even dealt with our kitchen sink that started leaking when we were away. We are sooo grateful to have found them for our sweet girls!”
About: I've had dogs all my life, I've also been a sitter for dogs periodically over the last 20 years. My dog would love to have more friends around and I have an unlimited amount of love to give for all the doggos of the world. I work remotely from home (only occasionally go into the office), so I'm almost always available to dogsit, visit, walk - whatever is needed for your dog. I have a fenced in yard with plenty of room for dogs to run around. I also live in a friendly and safe neighborhood. I also have flexibility to accommodate your dog's specific needs.
About: I treasure every moment I get to spend with animal friends! It would be a treat to get to care for your pet. I have loads of caretaking experience, both with pets and people, as a former au pair and a lifelong animal lover. I have a cat of my own at home who I’m completely obsessed with, so I know the level of care I’d want from a sitter and I bring that to my work. I have experience house sitting and pride myself on taking excellent care of your pets and your home. I am very comfortable around dogs of all shapes and sizes! Theres nothing better than when you’ve earned the trust of a dog, big or small, who just wants to protect his or her home. And I’m happy to work towards that if your pet has those needs. I've got wide availability as I’m just getting back on the market here in Detroit. I take animal care very seriously and will ensure that your pet is my priority. I prefer to spend time hanging out with your pet but will likely step away for a couple hours mid-day. I am currently building my network so I can get a job locally, so occasionally I have networking events or I have to run to the grocery store or some such thing. But mostly, I’m reading on the couch with your fur baby. I take great care in learning your pet’s routine in a preliminary visit. I’ll have questions prepared about their training and commands, bathroom patterns, eating patterns, special needs, walking routine, and more, dependent upon the pet. I also take great care to ensure that your home is cared for and clean for your return.
About: I have been pet sitting for some years and have worked with many dogs and cats. I have worked with large and small dogs and am very comfortable staying at another home with a dog and sleeping with a pup or two. I have a very open schedule and will be able to attend to a dog's needs at least four times a day. I can go to bed late or early and wake up early/late to match a dog's needs. I am a light sleeper, so any late-night needs will easily wake me and have me attend to them. Before joining Rover, I was contracted via word of mouth and reliability with people I had previously worked with. I was recommended to many people who needed dog sitting, and most asked me if I was available the next time they needed a dog sitter.
“Jenna was a great cat sitter! She checked on our cat, Benson, once a day while we were out of town and would update me on how he was doing - how much he ate, what he played with, etc. She also sent me pictures and videos, which made me feel better knowing that he was in good hands! Even though I couldn't be there to take care of Benson this weekend, I have no doubt that he enjoyed his time with Jenna. I will definitely book another drop-in visit with her in the future :)”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Berkley
Jessica has been great with our dogs. We had a few special instructions and she took care of everything we needed. Our dogs get let out twice a week by her, and sometimes she stays longer than we asked. She’s very good at updating our Rover account with all of the details and photos from each visit!

Kelly is absolutely fantastic. She is super communicative when taking care of my pup, sends photos, is extremely timely, and my pup looks like she is having the best time. She took the time to do a Meet and Greet with us ahead of time and it made us feel super comfortable. We've had a great experience and would highly recommend her.

Staci was wonderful! She came to our rescue when we had to make alternate plans for our senior dog last minute before a trip. Our dog has some complicated health issues at the moment, and Staci was wonderful about following her medication regimen & going at our dog’s speed. She also accommodated a late request for additional drop-ins which we greatly appreciated. Staci was flexible, attentive & responsive. I highly recommend her!

Winnie was awesome! Super easy to communicate with and made everything really stress-free for us. Our puppy Poppy absolutely loved her and we could tell she got tons of love and attention. Winnie is super trustworthy and reliable — we felt totally comfortable leaving Poppy in her hands. We’ll definitely be booking with her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
