“WOW doesn't cover it! Kevin P. is a real life cat whisperer. He is thorough and thoughtful and cared for my girls like they are his girls. Some of his pics were akin to the results of a professional photo session. Some really cool shots that I am going to print and frame. The bad news?? My little Glum (who I thought would hide from Kevin for the 2.5 days I was gone) in fact found her first real man crush (always thought it was me)! When I returned home this afternoon nobody came to greet me at the door. I looked all over the house and found Glum just lounging on the guestroom bed like I had never left the house. About: I grew up with dogs and have helped potty train them. I love to cuddle and play with dogs. An added bonus is my son who is 14 loves dogs. They will be able to give all the kisses if that's their thing. I work from home so they will always have company and also have the availability to go out when needed. I stay in a quite neighborhood with sidewalks so when we go on walks they will be safe. Pets will have access to the whole home. No worries. There are no toxic plants or other toxic products that they will be able to get into. This will be a nice safe haven, like a second home to them.

About: Growing up with pets as family members has always been a necessary adventure. I began fostering puppies to house-train and socialize them before adoption. Yes, I ended up adopting multiple dogs I fostered because I fell in love with them! On top of my one or two dogs, for many years I would have two, three, and sometimes four foster puppies at a time. A backyard with grass to run around, a back deck to lie on for sunbathing. A lovely garden that gets watered with the help of my own dog that loves jumping at the water while I water plants. He’s a very good helper. He has been socialized his whole life at dog parks and on walks with other dogs and humans. He is a playful dog that loves playing only if the other dog wants to as well. Many dogs have asserted themselves to my dog at a dog park or on a walk; he is very well trained not to engage in aggressive behavior but to submit and sit down, ears back to build trust with other dogs. I have outdoor cameras that are utilized for basic safety as well as making sure the gate is closed, dogs are visible, and any hazards (large branches or other animals) can be removed for best safety when dogs are outside. Maintaining a clean yard for my pets is important. Frequently cleaning the yard for dog waste, proper weed and grass maintenance. Making sure no foreign objects, rocks, or anything dangerous could pose an interest for the pets to investigate. Proper outdoor lighting for low light and nighttime outdoor potty times ensures further safety at night.

During walks, I will use the leash and equipment you provide, remain aware of our surroundings, avoid unsafe situations, and follow any instructions regarding other dogs, people, traffic, or preferred walking routes. For drop-in visits, I will carefully follow your pet’s normal routine, including feeding, fresh water, bathroom breaks, playtime, and companionship. I will make sure doors, gates, and crates are securely closed before leaving. I will also respect your home, clean up after your pet as needed, and send updates and photos so you know your pet is safe and well cared for.

About: Growing up with pets as family members has always been a necessary adventure. I began fostering puppies to house-train and socialize them before adoption. Yes, I ended up adopting multiple dogs I fostered because I fell in love with them! On top of my one or two dogs, for many years I would have two, three, and sometimes four foster puppies at a time. The dedication to loving all these pets has brought a true passion for animal care. I’m currently raising an English Cream Golden Retriever, Bowie, and I’ve adapted my schedule to accommodate his unique needs and preferences. I’ve prioritized physical activity and ample playtime at home, while also understanding his preferred resting spots. After walks, he loves to rest on the bed, and in the mornings, he enjoys looking out the front window from the couch. I find it rewarding to have my schedule revolve around keeping my pets involved, engaged, social, and happy. I have a fenced-in yard. A backyard with grass to run around, a back deck to lie on for sunbathing. A lovely garden that gets watered with the help of my own dog that loves jumping at the water while I water plants. He’s a very good helper. He has been socialized his whole life at dog parks and on walks with other dogs and humans. He is a playful dog that loves playing only if the other dog wants to as well. Many dogs have asserted themselves to my dog at a dog park or on a walk; he is very well trained not to engage in aggressive behavior but to submit and sit down, ears back to build trust with other dogs. I have outdoor cameras that are utilized for basic safety as well as making sure the gate is closed, dogs are visible, and any hazards (large branches or other animals) can be removed for best safety when dogs are outside. Maintaining a clean yard for my pets is important. Frequently cleaning the yard for dog waste, proper weed and grass maintenance. Making sure no foreign objects, rocks, or anything dangerous could pose an interest for the pets to investigate. Proper outdoor lighting for low light and nighttime outdoor potty times ensures further safety at night.

About: Hi, my name is Carla. I am a 29-year-old Occupational Therapy grad student, marketing professional, and animal lover! I’m located in Royal Oak centrally close to a lot of neighborhoods. I am looking to pick up work to get some time outside more and make some extra money for school. I have always had a pet in the house! Growing up I had a cat and a dog that I was responsible for. I’ve lived with dogs recently, and I currently have my own cat. Unfortunately, I am not able to offer boarding or care at my current apartment, but I am happy to do overnight stays if needed in the client’s home. I have a pretty flexible schedule because I work full-time online so if I needed to work from a clients house or take my lunch break to do a dog walk all of these options are very easy for me to navigate. I would like to do a few dog walks or pet check ins a week, including weekdays or weekends and potentially an overnight once or twice a month . I will not be having pets at my home, but I am very mindful of pet safety whether that be on a walk or at a client’s house. I will ensure to know the temperament of the animal before I arrive. If the animal is afraid of me, I will contact the owner and reevaluate the situation so as to not add additional stress on the animal. As a general rule of thumb when walking a dog if another dog is approaching us, I will cross the street and I always make sure that if I am taking the dog out outside, they are on a leash or in a fenced in area.
