“Sam is the best! I met with Sam before leaving for the week and saw how great she was with my cats. I received great feedback every day on her visit and the cats. She was consistent and super courteous, going above and beyond by keeping the kitchen swept, the cat dishes clean, and spending time with my cats. I highly recommend Sam to care for your fur babies!”

About: Hi! I’m Kat! 🐾 I've spent much of my life around & caring for animals, I’ve assisted in volunteer work at a shelter working with animals of all type & size! I have experience with animals with: special needs, medical conditions & special diets. Pet care & well being is my priority, I want to ensure a happy and comfortable experience for you & your animal companion. I'm now exclusively working in animal care & services! My schedule for booking is updated regularly, if there is a date that is unavailable or booked out, please reach out. I may be able to open up my schedule for you! Health, safety and well being of an animal is a priority to me, in my personal life and in the experience I have caring for animals, it is not something I take a risk on and is my priority as a guardian and caretaker, I do not take any chances with possibilities of potential harm or safety of an animal. I also keep extra leashes & leads, cooling collars for warmer days, bowls, bathroom bags, and safety gear in my car + on me at all times during our bookings. I carry water with me on walks as well for our furry friend!
“Kelly is the best! She is always so communicative and flexible. She sends great updates and photos about her visits with Poppy which clearly show how much Poppy loves to see her!”

“Brianna was available on short notice to pop in to check on my pets. She worked her magic with anxious Charlie. He was calm when I got home and slept like a rock through the night - as did I! Brianna is awesome at communicating with me as well.”
“This was our first time booking with Becca and we could not recommend her more. We have a 1 year old cat, who can be shy at first and she took the time to make him comfortable, including coming for a meet and greet. We were out of the country for 7 days, and did not worry once. The communication and pictures we received were great. She even brought in packages and trash cans for us. When we got home, I think our cat was upset that it wasn’t Becca walking into the house again! We will definitely be booking with Becca again in the future!”

About: Hi! I’ve taken care of dogs & cats my whole life and I love learning about their unique quirks. I’ve volunteered for Leader Dogs for the Blind as well as fostering cats from shelters so I’m comfortable administering medications and/or light training. I look forward to meeting you & your pets! I’m a hybrid marketer so I work from home 3 days a week & will have plenty of time to give your pets the love and attention they need. My home office is a cozy, pet-friendly space dedicated to the cats I care for, so I’ll be there all day keeping your furry friend happy, comfortable, and well-loved :))
“This is our third or fourth trip using Stephanie for our cats. She is great to work with and trustworthy. Sends detailed notes about her visits and we can tell they are well cared for. Our boys threw her a few curveballs this trip and she kept us informed about all of their hijinks. We hope to continue having Stephanie help watch our cats in the future.”

“Jessica has been great with our dogs. We had a few special instructions and she took care of everything we needed. Our dogs get let out twice a week by her, and sometimes she stays longer than we asked. She’s very good at updating our Rover account with all of the details and photos from each visit!”

“David is great! I could tell our cats liked him and had a great time with him :) He is very thorough and thoughtful of our cat's needs and took care of everything we asked!”

Hannah was incredibly attentive and responsible while taking care of Delta during our time away. She kept the litter box and food bowls clean, and we really appreciated the thoughtful care she provided. We’d be more than happy to book with Hannah again in the future!

Kelly has been looking after my kitties for years. We are moving away from the area and I am so sad because they love her. She is very attentive to them, sends me many pictures, and makes sure they have food and water. Your pets will be lucky to have Kelly as a sitter.

Sabrina was so amazing! She made my cat Toby feel like he was on vacation while I was gone. She played with him, pet him, gave him treats and sent me updates all along the way. I would highly recommend her as a sitter and will absolutely repeat next time I have to leave my Toby for more than a day. Thanks, Sabrina :)

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Berkley. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
