“Camille is professional, responsive and a great communicator. I had a trip that was last minute and she was very flexible and accommodating. I know my kitty was in great hands. I will be working with Camille again!”

“Myranda was great! She did some drop in visits for my puppy! This was my first time using Rover, as well as my first time having to leave Morty by himself but I knew he was in good hands! She was very professional, flexible, and communicated efficiently! She also sent me plenty of updates while she stopped by! I will absolutely be using her again in the future :)”

“Hadley was amazing! She was so warm, caring, and attentive with our cat. We loved her updates and felt completely at ease knowing our cat was in such good hands. We’d happily have her cat-sit for us again!”

“Kelly was such a delight to book for my girls! This was her first time meeting my two cats, but I had booked with her a handful of times over the last few years. Always recommend her services!!”

“Stephanie was great with my cat Boris - she was very responsive and attentive, and proactive about asking questions. I would definitely book Stephanie to look after Boris again!”

“Kevin was great, I think I can now call him a cat whisperer. He came every morning, fed and cleaned up the cat area, sent pictures and a little note. my one cat is really shy and after 3 days, they were friends. I'll be calling Kevin again”

“Heather was beyond amazing. She came for a meet and greet, did drop is when she said she would, and engaged with my dog more than any other sitter I have found on rover. Jesco was happy when we got back from long work days. She sent lots of updates and picture which all pet parents enjoy. Our dog is a senior and I can tell she has the skills, compassion, and love for our old man. Heather is the best!”
“Jessica has been great with our dogs. We had a few special instructions and she took care of everything we needed. Our dogs get let out twice a week by her, and sometimes she stays longer than we asked. She’s very good at updating our Rover account with all of the details and photos from each visit!”

“Veronica watched our cat & dog for 5 days while we were away, and when we come home our animals were SO happy compared to when we board them or hire someone else! She is lovely to work with too. Thank you so much Veronica!”

“Wonderful first experience with Abbey! Great communication and my little Stella is usually so shy and barky to new people, but she warmed up instantly to Abbey on our initial meet and greet. I will definitely be booking again, thank you :)”

About: I’ve grown up around dogs and cats my whole life and have experience with a variety of breeds and personalities. I was raised with Labs, Golden Retrievers, Doodles, and mixed breeds, and I currently have a pit mix of my own. Caring for animals has always come naturally to me, and I truly enjoy spending time with them. Whether I’m taking your dog for a walk, stopping by to check on your cat, or caring for your pet while you’re away, my goal is always the same: to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet, and I’ll treat them with the same care and attention I’d want for my own. I am currently between full time jobs, however I coach football Monday - Friday in the mid afternoon. I am available before and after coaching to take your little ones on walks. I will update this in the future should my schedule change. My dog is allowed on any couch or bed, she doesn’t have many restrictions other than jumping on tables, she sleeps on our bed or the guest bed depending on her mood lol. When it comes to sitting at your house, I will make sure your pup stays on their routine and follows any house rules that are in place!
“Rebecca took great care of our two cats while we were away. She took our outdoor cat for a walk as we requested and was even able to give our shy girl some pets. The photos she took and updates she sent let us know our four-legged family were in good hands. It's clear that she cares for and has a way with animals. We will use her again and would definitely recommend her!”
“Carla did a great job watching our three cats. We had a tougher situation needing to separate one from the others but she did an excellent job communicating with us how they were doing and spending time with them!”

“Alexis is wonderful and took great care of my 2 dogs. Like many other reviews said, she is a great communicator and I got used to her updates of each visits. I will definitely have her back and highly recommend her to anyone who has need of a pet sitter.”

“Rachel was excellent. She did exactly what we needed & took great care of Mya, who’s a 15 year old black lab. Would definitely recommend her & will be using her again in the future!”
“Ashley offered to meet our pup ahead of time which was very appreciated. She was super at handling a nervous dog and was quick to update us during her visit. Couldn’t be more appreciative of her help and experience with pets!”

“Camrynn and Shawn are so awesome and took such good care of our girls! Always on time, took pictures, and went above and beyond and checked on our cat even when they were just there to let out our dog.”

Stephanie was phenomenal, Mavis absolutely loved her! She sent detailed messages along with pictures and videos everyday which is super helpful for anxious pet parents like me. Next time we go out of town we’ll absolutely be looking at rebooking her, I cannot recommend her more!

Our meet and greet with Jacquelyn went well and she is very pleasant. Her visits with our cat were on time and she didn’t rush, which I appreciate. When you pay for a 30 minute visit, you expect your sitter to spend time with your pet, not just feed them and run. I will definitely use her to pet sit again!

Alexis was amazing! She went above and beyond for our Nala, making sure she was loved and taken care of while we were out of the country for an extended amount of time. Alexis was very communicative with us throughout the whole time. We would definitely highly recommend her to anyone on here.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Clawson. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 99% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
