“Jennifer was available to watch Oliver last minute for me. She was quick to communicate and very accommodating. Oliver had a great time and Jennifer was sure to send updates throughout the day! Looking forward to utilizing her again in the future!”

“Angelina was fantastic with both of my dogs and took them on multiple walks. I received many pictures of them having all sorts of fun and snuggles too! Would happily book again.”

“Laura was so great with our 1 year old pup. She took her on adventures out and about, sent pics and videos, and was just so easy to work with. We'll definitely contact Laura again soon!”

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and genuinely feel a connection and understanding of them. Looking forward to meeting and building a connection with your faithful companions! I work from home and have availability to look after other pets in the home. We recently had to put down our English mastiff and just looking for some extra activity around the house. I have a fenced in yard and love to go for walks around the block or to the park. Getting some steps in with the furry companions is a great refresher for the day
“Kadi was fantastic! So warm and reassuring to talk with, as well as super sweet and patient with our pup. He is a bit weary of men, and unfortunately wasn’t able to relax around Kadi’s husband. She let me know that she wanted to make sure Tito was as comfortable as possible. Kadi went of her way to reach out to her pet sitter, a fellow rover member (without a male in the house ☺️), to see if she would be available and open to taking Tito on for a weekend. She even made sure there was availability for a meet and greet before hand. Kadi went above and beyond and showed us she really cares about the well being of the pets in her care. Thanks a million Kadi!”

“Sara and her boyfriend did an amazing job hosting and taking off Thor! Sara sent videos and photos of Milo and Thor having fun! Her home was very pet friendly and safe with a fenced yard. Thor hopes to see Milo again! ?”

About: I recently lost my 13 year old lab who had mobility issues and needed extra help getting around. She also had an immune disorder that required multiple different daily medications. I have rugs throughout my home to ensure she had good grip walking on the hardwood floors, a help-me up harness for a large dog and a fenced in yard with organic grass to chew on (I don’t use any pesticides). She passed away late last year and would love to continue to care for your dog like it was my own! I usually work from home and spend a lot of free time at home as well. If dogs are staying with me, I would walk them at least twice a day and let them out in the yard multiple times a day. I try to follow a similar schedule that you do with your dog as much as possible (food schedule, walk schedule, ect.). I have clean dog beds and I allow the dogs to sleep up on the couch if they are potty trained. There are no dogs living in my home but sometimes I get multiple requests to watch dogs. Please let me know if you prefer to have your dog(s) be the only dogs in the home during their stay.
About: I grew up with four dogs so I have been surrounded by dogs my entire life. From a young age, I've watched dogs in my neighborhood, dog sat family friend's dogs and cared for other animals as well. I am very patient and loving towards all animals. I'd love the opportunity to care for your animal(s)! I work remote and have an incredibly flexible schedule. Therefore, I am able to provide your pet with the utmost amount of attention, play and love! I do everything I can to provide pets with the most comfortable environment possible, both inside and outside your home. Regardless of which service of mine you choose, I ensure that your pet is comfortable with the environment and feels right at home!
About: My life revolves around dogs, pet care, and dog rescue work. I'm pet CPR and First Aid Certified, and I dedicate my time to continuous learning—from medical needs and different personalities to training topics like canine body language and communication signals. I am also a dedicated dog foster and the Foster Coordinator for a pug rescue, where I manage transportation, intake, and the coordination of finding perfect forever homes for pugs in need. Because of my rescue work, I have experience in managing different dog personalities and needs—and my own dogs are, too! I also regularly care for the pets of my friends and family, from quick check-ins to extended stays. I work a part-time schedule with hours that vary each week. I keep my calendar updated regularly, but please feel free to reach out to confirm specific openings for your furbabies. The Meet & Greet: To ensure everyone is comfortable, I require a Meet & Greet before boarding bookings. We typically start in my fenced backyard to give the dogs space. We first meet on opposite sides of the fence; once we see positive body language, we let the guest dog into the yard. I keep my dogs leashed during this process to give your pup plenty of space to sniff and explore at their own pace. Afterward, I’ll show you the indoor space where they will be staying. Supervision & Sleeping: Your dogs are always supervised while outside in my fenced yard; they are never left alone. While my two dogs happily go to "their rooms" (crates) at night, guest dogs can sleep wherever they are most comfortable. Whether that is in a bed, on the living room couch, in their own crate, or a private room, I want them to feel right at home. Updates & Communication: You can expect daily updates on your pet, including details of their day, how they are doing, and plenty of pictures and videos. You are always welcome to contact me for a status update, but I provide a daily report so you never have to wonder. Transportation: If you need help with transport, please reach out! I can offer pick-up or drop-off for an additional fee, and we can discuss details during our coordination. I work a part-time schedule during the summer with hours that vary throughout the week and weekends. This means I have different blocks of availability each day, but I keep my calendar updated regularly! Please feel free to reach out to me directly to confirm openings for your fur babies. While I have flexibility for check-ins and care, please note that I cannot book recurring daycare right now due to potential schedule changes later this year. On Saturdays and Sundays, I have limited availability depending on the week—messaging me in advance is the best way to coordinate! I have a fenced in yard, clean and organized home, and two dogs who absolutely love to play and I'm also able to crate your dog if needed. If I'm checking in on your furbaby, I am very respectful and considerate of your home and your pet's needs whether that's taking them potty, feeding them or having play time!
“Our dog had a great time with Adrian, Pamela, and their dog. Their dog was super friendly and playful and got along with my dog very well. He was well taken care of and I would definitely recommend and use again!”

About: Growing up with pets as family members has always been a necessary adventure. I began fostering puppies to house-train and socialize them before adoption. Yes, I ended up adopting multiple dogs I fostered because I fell in love with them! On top of my one or two dogs, for many years I would have two, three, and sometimes four foster puppies at a time. The dedication to loving all these pets has brought a true passion for animal care. I’m currently raising an English Cream Golden Retriever, Bowie, and I’ve adapted my schedule to accommodate his unique needs and preferences. I’ve prioritized physical activity and ample playtime at home, while also understanding his preferred resting spots. After walks, he loves to rest on the bed, and in the mornings, he enjoys looking out the front window from the couch. I find it rewarding to have my schedule revolve around keeping my pets involved, engaged, social, and happy. I have a fenced-in yard. A backyard with grass to run around, a back deck to lie on for sunbathing. A lovely garden that gets watered with the help of my own dog that loves jumping at the water while I water plants. He’s a very good helper. He has been socialized his whole life at dog parks and on walks with other dogs and humans. He is a playful dog that loves playing only if the other dog wants to as well. Many dogs have asserted themselves to my dog at a dog park or on a walk; he is very well trained not to engage in aggressive behavior but to submit and sit down, ears back to build trust with other dogs. I have outdoor cameras that are utilized for basic safety as well as making sure the gate is closed, dogs are visible, and any hazards (large branches or other animals) can be removed for best safety when dogs are outside. Maintaining a clean yard for my pets is important. Frequently cleaning the yard for dog waste, proper weed and grass maintenance. Making sure no foreign objects, rocks, or anything dangerous could pose an interest for the pets to investigate. Proper outdoor lighting for low light and nighttime outdoor potty times ensures further safety at night.
“Nicole and Mike are wonderful sitters and just wonderful people all around. They were so attentive and loving to our large playful puppies...very helpful and accommodating to our dogs, one needing extra love and attention, and the other requiring extra attention because of his high energy and rambunctious personality. I know taking on both of my large dogs, with two different personalities, required some extra effort...and I feel they went above and beyond to help get my fur babies adjusted to our big move from across the country. I can't thank them enough.”
“Maritza did a great job communicating with me for Marlon’s first visit. I am super grateful and glad to know he’s being watched by a thoughtful and caring family.”

“Gretchen had a great day with Casey. Casey was patient and accommodating with a Meet and Greet prior to first day of daycare. Great pupdate with pictures. Our little 8 pound senior girl seemed comfy and safe with Casey”

The median cost per day for doggy day care in Clawson is $35
Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Clawson
Stanley had an excellent adventure playing with Teddy and Violet at Laura’s house on Saturday. She was able to accommodate us with very short notice, and kept us updated on his fun day. Did you know that even cousin doodled poodles “recognize” each other? I’m sure they will all meet again.

Our pup, Frankie, spend the whole afternoon at Heidi’s. Frankie is typically a barker with new people but Frankie was immediately at home. No pulling to go home when we drop him off. Their dog Eevee was friendly too and got along very well with Frankie. Frankie is an older dog and very picky with dogs that he likes. Frankie is a tired and happy dog. We would definitely use Heidi again.
BEYOND AMAZING! We had a last minute appointment and she went over and above for us and our dog. Communicated the entire stay and sent pictures that made us smile. Truly could not have asked for a better sitter. If we are ever back in the area she will always be our first pick!

Simply the best! Vicki and William love the pups in their care and go the extra mile. They have been so good helping our puppy Hazel socialize, play, and grow into a happy teenage dog for the past year. She is always so excited to go to daycare and is a very happy, tired dog after.

Sumedha took excellent care of our puppy Charlie Bear. He had a blast playing with her dogs and came home completely tuckered out- a blessing for us! Will definitely book with her again should the need arise. Absolutely recommend her enthusiastically for anyone who wants the very best pet sitter!

Irv is a fantastic sitter! He had no issues with taking care of our two dogs, one of whom is a senior dog with some anxiety issues. She did so well with him that we’re definitely coming back! Our younger pup also had a great time and got lots of playtime and cuddles. Irv gave plenty of walks and sent us photos and videos throughout the day to update us. We had special food instructions and that wasn’t a problem. Thank you so much!

Karina saved me when I had a last minute travel issue and needed a short term spot for Gene to stay! From the moment we arrived you could tell she is repsonsible and loving with a crowd of regulars. She was extremely communicative and sent many photos, & he was smiling and snuggling in each of them! If we were local, we'd rebook Karina in a heartbeat!

We are so excited we have found such a wonderful caregiver for our two dogs, One is an energetic mini Aussie and I have never seen her respond so well to anyone. She was cuddling with Whitney within a couple of hours and we got lots of photos of the pups playing and snuggling throughout the day. Whitney is a bona fide dog person whose house is not only gorgeous, but was designed with dogs in mind. The fenced in yard and dog park were amazing and our dogs got to play outside in a safe, clean environment. We have already booked her again for a longer visit in December and we are so happy to know our pups will be in the care of someone who not only knows dogs but genuinely cares for them and goes out of her way to make them at home and loved. A++++

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
