About: Get $20 off your first stay with me with promo code LINDSO69427 Hello pet-lover! I am an experienced professional dog handler and trainer with space in my home to care for your family members who cannot accompany you while you're away. I am currently work a hybrid work schedule (some days I work from home, other days I am in the office); I have 5 years experience in a kennel environment and working with working/professional dogs, as well as dogs with behavioral issues; and training/showing/trialing my own companions - I have experience and titles with my dogs in obedience, agility, and nosework in both AKC and UKC and other venues. I focus on force-free training methods, while still making sure to ensure rules and boundaries in my household. As much as I love training, training is not offered as part of your stay. I currently work from home, and am able to let out frequently. Your pets will be treated like my own while they stay with me. I have a fenced in yard and a playful pup who loves to meet new friends! I am set up for any scenario needed, and have crates for safety and feeding. If your dog isn't used to staying in a crate is reliable to be left alone, I have baby gates set up around the home to keep them out of places they shouldn't be.
“Harper's stay with Rachel went very well. We were in Detroit for a family funeral and wanted a safe and happy place for our pup. Rachel was wonderful and went above and beyond what we expected. She is so friendly, welcoming, and thoughtful. I greatly appreciated the photos and video provided during the day. I also loved that she took the time to get to know more about Harper and our expectations even before arrived at her home. The drop-off and pick-up process were extremely efficient. I would definitely recommend Rachel.”

“Honestly, AMAZING! Yvette is a life saver. We had recently adopted a 2 month old puppy and had to go out of state for a wedding. We were nervous who we would leave our new baby and 3 year old Morkie with for a weekend, until we came across Yvette. From the minute we arrived for the 'Met & Greet', we knew we would be leaving our puppies in safe hands. Yvette provides such a welcoming pet friendly atmosphere, and a back yard for them to roam and play in. We were in constant communication and received pictures and videos multiple times a day. (The puppy was even doing better with potty training after, double win!) I would absolutely recommend Yvette any day! Thank you so much Yvette! You'll be seeing more of the puppies in the future :) - Kerri & Jake”

About: I have cared for dogs since our first Siberian Husky joined the family in the 1960's! Family, friends and now new friends have entrusted me to take care of their fury family members when they leave town. From puppies to seniors they are all treated as if they were my own! I will consider accepting two dogs from the same family/household, but will generally only care for one dog at a time. This is so that no dog needs to not only adjust to being away from their own home, but also have to navigate relating to another, unfamiliar animal. I have no pets in my own home at this time either. Breeds I have cared for over the years include Labrador Retrievers, Samoyeds, Pugs, Huskies, Goldendoodles, Labradoodles, Miniature Schnauzers, Weimaraner's, German Shepards, Golden Retrievers, Pit Bulls, French Bulldogs, English Setters, Australian Shepards, Cocker Spaniels, Cockapoos and countless mixed breeds! I work from my home and so I am able to devote myself to any dog in my care. I take frequent work breaks and consider my care of the dogs entrusted to me as a part of my at-home work/life routine! I only care for pets in my own home. I have a nice fenced in backyard with privacy fencing on two sides and chain link on the other two sides, and the dogs seem to like the space. I do not leave dogs in the backyard on their own. I am with them if they are outside. I like to walk the dogs around my neighborhood and through the nearby park up to three times per day depending upon their energy level/physical abilities or limitations and their established routine. Any dogs that are more couch potatoes are certainly never forced to take walks. I honor where they are in terms of their breed, age and physicality! I have cared for elder dogs who have needed regular, timely medications and close observation as well as wild little puppies and everything in between! My home is kept very clean and neat to prevent my fury guests from getting into anything they should not and between visits I wash all dog bedding, towels, blankets and rugs.
“Maritza did a great job communicating with me for Marlon’s first visit. I am super grateful and glad to know he’s being watched by a thoughtful and caring family.”

“Alan's energy was super positive from the moment we met him, and Stormy had a blast hanging out with him. He communicated a lot, sent great photos, and even gave a dog park reference. He obviously loves what he does, and the pups love him right back. Great guy. Thank you Alan!”

About: I've owned dogs a majority of my life, both large and small breed. I've house trained and crate trained my own dogs so I have some experience with that, as well. I have 2 cats in the home but they tend to stay away from any new dogs, often hiding in their own room that the dogs are not allowed in. I work from home, which allows lots of one on one time with your pet. I'm able to flex my work schedule based on whatever is needed. I have a fenced in yard, which my own pup loves to run in. Lots of toys and playtime with plenty of comfy surfaces to nap on after.
“Bentley had a great time hanging out with Murphy and Meredith. We've just moved to the Ferndale area, and he misses his old neighbor friends. Happy he's made a friend with Murphy:)”

“Greatly appreciated Kristen's 1) willingness to accommodate us when we needed daycare at the last minute, 2) her patience with and fondness for our super energetic 4-month old puppy, and 3) the pictures that gave us a glimpse of our boy's first time with the other dogs at her home. Each of these things made us feel more at ease. We will definitely request Kristen G. again.”

“Angela and her rescue pack are great! She’s so kind, comforting, and understanding with our shy anxious rescue girl. Her boys Ernie and Jerry are a nice bonus to help socialize Gretchen with other dogs. I also appreciate Angela’s open honest and frequent communication.”

About: My first dog is Dakota, but he has taught me a ton since I've had him. I have been around dogs and cats, and other animals since I was a young child. Between my grandparents, and friends and family's animals, I have always been around pets. My family always owned cats, and when I moved out I decided that I wanted a dog. I currently work from home most of days of the week (Tues-Fri), and figured that someone who is going to work might not want to leave their dog home alone all day. I figured that since I am home, I could provide dog owners with another local option for doggy daycare. I have a fenced in yard and I have my own dog who is very friendly. I am constantly getting up to check on Dakota during the workday to make sure that all of his needs are being met.
“Vicki and her husband were very accommodating and very kind/easy to work with. This was our first time using Rover and we loved the experience with them! We would highly recommend and plan to use them again when needed!”

“After some horror stories elsewhere, we’re overly cautious about who we leave Oslo with. Annoyingly cautious, honestly. Sara was so kind and accommodating, answering every question & fulfilling every request. She made us so comfortable with the choice to leave our pup in her care and sent pictures and videos throughout the day of Oslo having fun with his new friends. He came back a very happy & tired boy; we’ll definitely rebook.”

“Mariana and her husband have hosted our dog Shama multiple times now and they are always our first choice because we know Shama is always happy to see them and stay with them. Very flexible and communicate very nicely with us. We highly recommend them.”

Hazel Park dog parents share their Rover experiences
We are so excited we have found such a wonderful caregiver for our two dogs, One is an energetic mini Aussie and I have never seen her respond so well to anyone. She was cuddling with Whitney within a couple of hours and we got lots of photos of the pups playing and snuggling throughout the day. Whitney is a bona fide dog person whose house is not only gorgeous, but was designed with dogs in mind. The fenced in yard and dog park were amazing and our dogs got to play outside in a safe, clean environment. We have already booked her again for a longer visit in December and we are so happy to know our pups will be in the care of someone who not only knows dogs but genuinely cares for them and goes out of her way to make them at home and loved. A++++

Whitley is outstanding! One of the best experiences we've ever had. Professional, knowledgeable, communicative, attentive, gracious, and offered a strong sense of care and consideration for our dog's particulars (flight risk; older tri-pod). Highly recommended! Thank you Whitley 🙏🏻
