Yvette was wonderful with my dog Buster. He isn't the easiest dog because he is fearful. But she was very patient with him and I will be using her again.

About: I have cared for dogs since our first Siberian Husky joined the family in the 1960's! Family, friends and now new friends have entrusted me to take care of their fury family members when they leave town. From puppies to seniors they are all treated as if they were my own! I will consider accepting two dogs from the same family/household, but will generally only care for one dog at a time. This is so that no dog needs to not only adjust to being away from their own home, but also have to navigate relating to another, unfamiliar animal. I have no pets in my own home at this time either. Breeds I have cared for over the years include Labrador Retrievers, Samoyeds, Pugs, Huskies, Goldendoodles, Labradoodles, Miniature Schnauzers, Weimaraner's, German Shepards, Golden Retrievers, Pit Bulls, French Bulldogs, English Setters, Australian Shepards, Cocker Spaniels, Cockapoos and countless mixed breeds! I work from my home and so I am able to devote myself to any dog in my care. I take frequent work breaks and consider my care of the dogs entrusted to me as a part of my at-home work/life routine! I only care for pets in my own home. I have a nice fenced in backyard with privacy fencing on two sides and chain link on the other two sides, and the dogs seem to like the space. I do not leave dogs in the backyard on their own. I am with them if they are outside. I like to walk the dogs around my neighborhood and through the nearby park up to three times per day depending upon their energy level/physical abilities or limitations and their established routine. Any dogs that are more couch potatoes are certainly never forced to take walks. I honor where they are in terms of their breed, age and physicality! I have cared for elder dogs who have needed regular, timely medications and close observation as well as wild little puppies and everything in between! My home is kept very clean and neat to prevent my fury guests from getting into anything they should not and between visits I wash all dog bedding, towels, blankets and rugs.

Alan was incredibly accommodating when I needed to book pretty last-minute for a holiday and set up a meet & greet with me right away. I knew my dog would be in amazing hands, and based on the photos I received and how exhausted my dog was at the end of the night, I'd say he had a really great time with Alan and the pups. I know it's always a little bit nerve-racking booking a sitter for the first time, but Alan is incredible and I highly recommend him!

About: I've owned dogs a majority of my life, both large and small breed. I've house trained and crate trained my own dogs so I have some experience with that, as well. I have 2 cats in the home but they tend to stay away from any new dogs, often hiding in their own room that the dogs are not allowed in. I work from home, which allows lots of one on one time with your pet. I'm able to flex my work schedule based on whatever is needed. I have a fenced in yard, which my own pup loves to run in. Lots of toys and playtime with plenty of comfy surfaces to nap on after.

Jess is absolutely my 1 and only go to for caring for my sweet baby. After such a terrible experience with my previous sitter .. jess has been a breath of fresh air. She takes amazing care of Nova! And Nova just loves her and all her friends she gets to see when she visits. Jess is patient and kind and really treats your pets as her own. Nova gets to run around and gets nap times throughout the day. Jess makes sure she addresses the needs of each dog individually and they each get the attention they need. I would 100% recommend her EVERY SINGLE TIME

Kadi was fantastic! So warm and reassuring to talk with, as well as super sweet and patient with our pup. He is a bit weary of men, and unfortunately wasn’t able to relax around Kadi’s husband. She let me know that she wanted to make sure Tito was as comfortable as possible. Kadi went of her way to reach out to her pet sitter, a fellow rover member (without a male in the house ☺️), to see if she would be available and open to taking Tito on for a weekend. She even made sure there was availability for a meet and greet before hand. Kadi went above and beyond and showed us she really cares about the well being of the pets in her care. Thanks a million Kadi!

About: My life revolves around dogs, pet care, and dog rescue work. I'm pet CPR and First Aid Certified, and I dedicate my time to continuous learning—from medical needs and different personalities to training topics like canine body language and communication signals. I am also a dedicated dog foster and the Foster Coordinator for a pug rescue, where I manage transportation, intake, and the coordination of finding perfect forever homes for pugs in need. Because of my rescue work, I have experience in managing different dog personalities and needs—and my own dogs are, too! I also regularly care for the pets of my friends and family, from quick check-ins to extended stays. I work a part-time schedule with hours that vary each week. I keep my calendar updated regularly, but please feel free to reach out to confirm specific openings for your furbabies. The Meet & Greet: To ensure everyone is comfortable, I require a Meet & Greet before boarding bookings. We typically start in my fenced backyard to give the dogs space. We first meet on opposite sides of the fence; once we see positive body language, we let the guest dog into the yard. I keep my dogs leashed during this process to give your pup plenty of space to sniff and explore at their own pace. Afterward, I’ll show you the indoor space where they will be staying. Supervision & Sleeping: Your dogs are always supervised while outside in my fenced yard; they are never left alone. While my two dogs happily go to "their rooms" (crates) at night, guest dogs can sleep wherever they are most comfortable. Whether that is in a bed, on the living room couch, in their own crate, or a private room, I want them to feel right at home. Updates & Communication: You can expect daily updates on your pet, including details of their day, how they are doing, and plenty of pictures and videos. You are always welcome to contact me for a status update, but I provide a daily report so you never have to wonder. Transportation: If you need help with transport, please reach out! I can offer pick-up or drop-off for an additional fee, and we can discuss details during our coordination. I work a part-time schedule during the summer with hours that vary throughout the week and weekends. This means I have different blocks of availability each day, but I keep my calendar updated regularly! Please feel free to reach out to me directly to confirm openings for your fur babies. While I have flexibility for check-ins and care, please note that I cannot book recurring daycare right now due to potential schedule changes later this year. On Saturdays and Sundays, I have limited availability depending on the week—messaging me in advance is the best way to coordinate! I have a fenced in yard, clean and organized home, and two dogs who absolutely love to play and I'm also able to crate your dog if needed. If I'm checking in on your furbaby, I am very respectful and considerate of your home and your pet's needs whether that's taking them potty, feeding them or having play time!

About: My Husband and I welcomed my dog 7 years back in the family when we had no plan to have a pet but we just had to bring her home. I have trained her all by myself and received many compliments on how well-behaved my pet is. I have taken care of my friend's fur friends multiple times. Zusa gets along with pretty much everyone with a condition of them remembering who the queen is in the house lol there’s 40% chance of her playing with your pet but she’ll mostly mind her own business which noting everyone who stopped by- by the bay window that’s 10ft long. Your fur baby will be allowed there too after 24hrs of stay😊 we enjoy pets more than humans😜 which is why your pets likely to be cuddled here not just for the show. They’ll be treated as a cousin of Zusa visiting and nothing less than that. I work from home, so I have plenty of time to entertain your fur friend! I'm available on weekdays anytime after 10 am and accommodate them over weekends with some heads up. I have a fenced yard, lots of toys, and a Shitzu to give your pet company. I do have pretty much everything but a crate, so if you believe your pet will be more comfortable with that, then please bring it with you.

Rachel is quite possibly the sweetest person I’ve ever met, and it’s clear that she was born to take care of dogs. Our dog can be quite anxious and usually takes a bit to acclimate to new environments, but it was clear that he immediately felt at ease and right at home with Rachel and the other pups. She is so kind and sweet with our boy, and I love that she provides engaging and enriching activities even beyond just romping in the huge yard. I feel so at ease knowing my boy is happy, loved, and taken care of while he is with Rachel!

Rachel was absolutely wonderful! She took such great care of Phoenix during his daycare stay, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She was so kind, welcoming, and truly the sweetest person to work with. She kept me updated throughout the day and even sent me two videos, which gave me so much peace of mind. It was obvious that Phoenix was well cared for and loved while he was with her. I highly recommend Rachel to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and genuinely passionate about dogs. We are so excited we have found such a wonderful caregiver for our two dogs, One is an energetic mini Aussie and I have never seen her respond so well to anyone. She was cuddling with Whitney within a couple of hours and we got lots of photos of the pups playing and snuggling throughout the day. Whitney is a bona fide dog person whose house is not only gorgeous, but was designed with dogs in mind. The fenced in yard and dog park were amazing and our dogs got to play outside in a safe, clean environment. We have already booked her again for a longer visit in December and we are so happy to know our pups will be in the care of someone who not only knows dogs but genuinely cares for them and goes out of her way to make them at home and loved. A++++

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Madison Heights on Rover is $55.5 per day (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 1,147 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Madison Heights. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Madison Heights commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 1,147 sitters in Madison Heights, 84% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
