I can't remember a time in my life where I haven't had a pet in my home and like many, my very first job was taking care of and walking the old neighborhood pup down the block. I absolutely love animals - cats, dogs, fish, hedgehogs, you name it! - and one of the things I pride myself on is treating the pets I care for as if they were my own and working with their owners how I would want to be worked with. As a dog owner, I know how stressful it can be to entrust someone with the care of a pet, how it feels to wait for that message or update about your pet while you can't be with them and I strive to always keep pet owners in the loop and send lots of communication regarding their pet's day, mood and activities. I do have experience in potty training puppies (after fostering more than 10 puppies in six months in my home) and I do know how important it is to work with the older pups that maybe just want to hang around and be lazy, but may need important medications. Between fostering, having my own pets, having family pets and watching other people's pets, I have ample experience in the area and want to be able to help other families as well!

Bea had an awesome time with Maritza, Daniel and Lupe! They provided a clean, safe and fun environment; I felt at such ease knowing Bea was in good hands while I worked. They sent us daily updates with pictures, accommodated to her higher energy levels by walking her multiple times per day and treated her like one of their own. We will definitely be rebooking with them; Bea’s new home away from home.
Maritza and Daniel were great! They sent regular updates and made sure Reggie was taken care of. They made sure he got plenty of exercise and cuddles. Their dog Lupe is very sweet and got along well with Reggie. We will definitely be back!
Maritza & Daniel did a wonderful job taking care of our Border Collie, Kaylee, while we were out of town for a few days. The updates and pictures they sent kept us informed as to how Kaylee was settling in and showed how happy she was to become a regular part of their day!

Schedule
My husband and I currently work 100% remote from the comfort of our home and are able to be 100% present with your pet, whether that be scheduling a midday walk or playtime or being present to administer important medications. Our little pug enjoys snuggles at the computer and we love taking "active pauses" throughout our day to spend quality time with our furry companion.

Safety, trust & environment
We have a fully fenced yard and it’s a relatively good sized yard for your pet to run around in, but we especially love going on long walks through the neighborhood and packing up to check out new parks (provided that your pet is comfortable in the car!) We also don't have a designated pet area while we are home - we like pets to feel comfortable stretching out on the couch or catching some sun through the window - but we have fashioned smaller spaces for other animals that require or want some more "private" space. We also are "bad pet owners" in that we welcome our furry companions up on furniture and in our bed (although we do respect owners who do not wish to encourage that behavior and are more than happy to move beds into our room if it makes the pet feel safer)

A typical day
We love to take breaks and go on walks with the pups and we also love sitting out in the backyard to play ball and run around with Lupe and the dogs. We also love going to parks and getting our steps in with our furry companions.

- We are very flexible with pets and generally like to know the following before hosting your pet: 1. Do they have any allergies and/or medications? We're comfortable with giving medications or special supplements as needed. 2. Is your pet allowed treats? We keep extra treats in our house and love to share (free of cost, of course!), and just want to make sure that they can have some too! 3. How do they react to other dogs (especially on a leash) We love walks through the neighborhood and do our best to avoid other dogs, but we like to know about many other extra "quirky" behaviors 4. Are they allowed on furniture? It's free rein in our house, but we don't want to create any bad habits 5. Any food or toy possession behaviors? We love to share toys, and Lupe loves to watch pets eat, but we're happy to put toys away and separate dogs during mealtime if there are any behaviors.
