“Jackie is always wonderful with our boy Nigel! She takes such good care of him and always goes above and beyond. We love the pictures she sends and really appreciate the updates and quick responses. Don’t hesitate to book with Jackie, she is the absolute best!”

“Erica has been the absolute best at accommodating my terrible work schedule. Presley just loves his time with her. She provides updates each check in and communicates any additional needs. It is such a relief that I can leave Presley and know that he is in good hands.”

“Over the last two years, Jillian is the best rover sitter I’ve ever booked with. My dog, Skyler is veeery picky and has a lot of anxiety when it comes to who she lets watch her, and she warmed right up to Jillian. Not only does Jillian treat every animal as if it’s her own, she sends so many photos and gives a ton of updates to ease your mind while you’re away. My work schedule can be pretty hectic, and Jillian has been nothing but flexible and accommodating. I highly highly recommend booking with Jillian. I have definitely found my new long term dog sitter!”

“We had such a great experience with Hannah. She took care of our cats for nearly two weeks and we felt completely at ease the entire time. We received regular updates and lots of photos. Wouldn’t hesitate to book with Hannah again!”

About: I’ve grown up around animals and have experience caring for dogs and cats for family, friends, and neighbors. I’m active, reliable, and attentive to routines, which helps pets feel comfortable and cared for while their owners are away. I love going on long walks, giving pets attention and playtime, and making sure they feel safe and happy. As a teacher, I’m patient, responsible, and detail-oriented, and I’ll always communicate clearly with pet parents and provide updates throughout visits! I am a full time teacher so I am available most evenings starting at 5pm and available some weekends. I am off for the summer soon and will then be available during the daytime on weekdays and on weekends when I’m not traveling! I understand that every animal has different needs and personalities, so I take time to help them feel comfortable and secure while their owners are away. I’m mindful during walks, careful with doors/leashes, and respectful of each client’s home and routines. I also believe communication is key, so I make sure pet parents receive updates and photos for peace of mind throughout each visit!
“Samantha was incredibly responsive and offered to come meet our dogs before any services were booked to make sure everyone was comfortable. She took extra care with our rescue who needed a bit of extra support and was flexible in walking our other dog solo. We really enjoyed her updates and pictures from the visits.”

“It was just a first meet-and-greet, but Rebekah communicated clearly, was friendly, and seemed to put Ralphie at ease. Will definitely contact her for future drop-in and house sitting needs!”

“Gentle, kind, reliable and responsible. All qualities you want in a pet sitter and this just the begins to describe Rebecca. My shyest cat, who takes months and sometimes years to trust a new person, came out for pets on her second visit. Animals sense a good person when they’re around one and mine all trust and adore her.”

“Amanda was great with my black lab! She visited my home when I was at work to let my dog out. Amanda provided my dog with lots of play time, a walk, and sent plenty of pictures. Would highly recommend her services! 🐕🦺🐾”

“Jessica has been great with our dogs. We had a few special instructions and she took care of everything we needed. Our dogs get let out twice a week by her, and sometimes she stays longer than we asked. She’s very good at updating our Rover account with all of the details and photos from each visit!”

“Audrey is my go-to every time I need someone to watch my cat. She sends the cutest pictures and updates. She is also great about communication around when she’ll be dropping in, if there are any changes to her schedule, etc. Thanks again Audrey!!”
About: I'm a huge pet lover and love meeting new pets and their unique personalities! My husband and I have a golden doodle puppy named Rosie! She is playful and is looking for a best friend in every dog she meets! There is one child in our home (3 years) who loves having our dog visitors. We love going on walks around my neighborhood and would love to take your pet with us! My husband and I are both animal lovers and work in the schools with summers off. I'm flexible with any dog's special needs or accommodations. It's important to know who your loved one is staying with so ask me anything and check in as needed! When I’m away from Rosie I love getting pictures of her so I will happily send you as many pictures as you’d like while your dog is with us. Let me know if you have any questions! My husband and I are off work in the summer as we work in the schools. We love spending our time outside with our dog and little girl! We’re accommodating for a variety of needs in our home. Whether crated, uncrated, needing to eat away from other dogs, bathroom breaks, etc. Our Rosie loves being outside and asks probably once an hour to go out (during waking hours) to go out, even just to lay down.
About: I’ve pet sit for friends and family for a few years. Working from home has made it easier to interact and keep a better watch I currently work from home full time, which helps free my schedule. During breaks i walk around my condo complex (when the weather breaks of course) Pets are known to be extremely curious; with that being said i do let proof my home at all times. Cover wires; leave any chemicals in high shelves and keep trash bins locked etc

About: Hi! I’m new to Rover, but not new to caring for dogs. I’ve always been the friend people trust to walk and care for their pups, and I genuinely love spending time with dogs. I previously volunteered with the ASPCA and am hoping to adopt a dog of my own soon. When your dog is with me, they’ll get more than just a walk—they’ll get plenty of exercise, affection, water breaks, and photo updates so you can see them having fun. I tailor each walk to your dog’s personality and energy level, and I treat every pup like they’re my own. While I’m new to Rover, I’m happy to provide references from friends whose dogs I’ve cared for. My goal is simple: a happy, well-exercised dog and a confident, worry-free owner. I currently work from home and can typically walk dogs before work, during lunch breaks, evenings, and weekends. Please contact me and we can work out a time. Your dog’s safety is my top priority. I’ll carefully follow your instructions, use secure leash handling, avoid unsafe situations, and treat your home with the same respect I’d expect for my own.
About: I have had two personal dogs for most of my life and currently have one dog of my own that is 4. I learned how to care of animals at a young age and have been around dogs all my life. I have dog and puppy sat many times in homes and in my own home. I absolutely adore all dogs! Dog walking is therapeutic and fun for me! I love to be outside, be active, and go for walks and I can’t wait for your dog to join me! I can guarantee the best and most personal care for your dog! I am so excited to treat your animal with kindness and your home with care and make your little friend’s day better and keep them active and loved! I work a typical 8-5 Monday through Friday but have flexibility in my schedule to fit in dog walking. If your dog can join mine on a walk, I usually am already out with mine after work and on the weekends. I have a large fenced in back yard and a dog of my own that absolutely loves to have a friend over to play with. She is friendly with all dogs and we puppy sit and dog sit in our home often. Your dog will be taken for walks as much or as little as requested, supervised and loved on.
“Lara and Jonathon are nothing short of amazing and we are so thankful to have found them. We have two dogs who were both rescued from Amish puppy mills where they were kept in a tiny stall as mama breeders producing litter after litter of puppies for their whole lives, so they have incredible trauma and are very wary of trusting humans due to their pasts. Because of this, we consider them special needs dogs. Lara and jonathon are absolutely amazing with them, and I would not be able to ever leave town if I hadn’t found someone that I can completely trust and that has the patience and empathy to take care of our dogs. They are understanding and caring, and amazing at keeping us updated throughout the day. We have used them twice for 2 long trips and plan to continue in the future- they are so patient and loving with our dogs and have absolutely been a huge part of Cici and Layla’s recovery and rehabilitation journey. I couldn’t recommend them more. They follow directions perfectly and even dealt with our kitchen sink that started leaking when we were away. We are sooo grateful to have found them for our sweet girls!”
About: I have had pets my entire life. I went through some obedience training with my last dog. My daughter is 13 and has been around dogs all her life as well. We would love to cuddle and play with your dog while they are in our care! We have a big fenced-in yard and a great neighborhood for walks. We are available to board your dog on weekends, in particular, but weekdays as well if they are able to be inside for a long portion of the day. We are also available to do evening and weekend drop ins and/or walks. We are very recently pet free so all our love will go to your pet! I work full-time, Monday through Friday. I do work one Saturday/month but have a day off in the week. My daughter is in school until 3:30. Depending on the time of year, she may be home by 3:45. She does participate in a fall sport and dance so some evenings we are gone for about 90 minutes while she is at dance class. Our weekends are generally very open, but we would not take a dog on weekends we had limited availability. We have a large, fenced-in yard and live in a family-friendly neighborhood. We would follow all guidelines for walking, bed time, feeding, etc. provided by the pet parent. We will treat your dog as our own.

“Emily is fantastic with Bacon. I travel regularly for work and always know he’s in good hands while I’m gone. Her daily updates are great and she always includes some great photos of my little furbaby. He definitely enjoys the company :)”

Emily has been great with our Lucy! You can tell she has a lot of experience and is a pet lover. Our Lucy who can be timid and high anxiety really took to Emily and even sat on her lap! Emily’s communication prior was great and she kept us informed on the visit including photos. We would highly recommend her especially if your pet has special needs.

Winnie was awesome! Super easy to communicate with and made everything really stress-free for us. Our puppy Poppy absolutely loved her and we could tell she got tons of love and attention. Winnie is super trustworthy and reliable — we felt totally comfortable leaving Poppy in her hands. We’ll definitely be booking with her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
