My pet care schedule can run fairly full at times, so the more advanced notice I have for your pet’s booking request, the better I’m able to accommodate. That said, on occasion, I am available for last minute bookings! Please allow for 30 minutes plus or minus your selected time for arrival to your home.

A typical day
While walking dogs, I keep in mind that the walks are for them, and I try to keep their routes interesting and as varied as possible, unless the owner has a specific request otherwise. I believe that the dog’s safety is of the upmost importance, so I so carefully scan my surroundings whenever I’m out and about with my dog clients.

Hello, my name is Kelly and I am a life long animal whisperer, cat cuddler and dog lover extraordinaire who is excited to meet your best friend and family member. As an animal person, I love to nurture and take care of creatures big and small. I am currently offering daily, weekly and as needed dog walking/ drop-in visits and cat sitting services in the Royal Oak, Clawson and surrounding areas. I am the proud owner of two beautiful retired racing greyhounds, so my specialty is in caring for this unique breed. I am also the owner of one very gregarious cat. As a pet owner, I understand the seriousness of caring for pets and I understand the trust involved in allowing someone to care for your beloved friend. My professional background is in social work (20 plus years) and with my animal care experience, I am a modern day animal social worker, of sorts. I'm quite intuitive and empathic when it comes to working with cats and dogs and I consider it a privilege to care for them. I understand that many pets need patience, kindness and time to warm up to strangers. I have the sensitivity to handle special needs cats and dogs with tender loving care, including senior pets and administering pills, oral medications, topicals and insulin shots for cats. While at your home, I’m happy to bring in your mail, bring your garbage and recycling bins up to the house and water your plants upon request, at no additional charge. As an animal advocate, I'm a proud supporter of Greyheart Greyhound Adoption, Paws with a Cause, Paws for Life, Backdoor Friends Feline Rescue, Huron Valley Humane Society, the Michigan Humane Society and individual cats, dogs and critters who I meet along the way (and the ones who literally show up at my doorstep)! My promise is to take care of your pets like they are my very own. I am happy to provide references upon request. Pet photography has been a life long passion of mine so in addition to the services offered above, I will send you individual photos of your pet during each visit.
