Hi, I’m Maria! I’ve been around animals my whole life and can’t imagine a day without them. I share my home with an 8-year-old German Shepherd rescue who is reactive, so I understand the patience, consistency, and compassion that some pups need. Over the years, I’ve worked with him using fear-free training methods, which has taught me so much about building trust and creating a safe, positive experience for every dog. In addition to caring for my own pup, I volunteered at the Humane Society for several years, gaining hands-on experience with dogs and cats of all sizes, temperaments, and backgrounds. I’ve also been the go-to dog walker and cat sitter for friends, family, and neighbors for over 10 years. Whether your animal is playful and outgoing, shy and cautious, or somewhere in between, I’ll meet them where they are. I can give medication if needed as well. I look forward to spending time with your best (furry) friend, keeping them happy, safe, and cared for while you’re away Note for house sitting* I have a day job that requires full 8 hour shifts. If close by I can possibly do a mid shift potty break.

Safety, trust & environment
My preference if to care for animals in their own home, so they are comfortable and familiar with the environment. I am happy to stay the night or just stop by every couple of hours to spend time with them. The option for your pet to stay in my home is there, but I'd like them to meet my pup first to confirm it's a good fit! I have a fenced in back yard with tons of space for dog filled fun.
Ratings and reviews
Maria was very responsive and flexible for our last-minute dog walking request. She allowed us to do a meet and greet with our pup beforehand which was greatly appreciated and left notes and pics for us from their walk! Definitely recommend Maria! :)
So grateful for Maria who was able to care for my extremely anxious pup while we were away. She followed his routine, gave him meds, provided lots of walks and snuggles, and even cleaned up some not fun accidents. She also kept me updated with photos throughout the day.
Maria was fantastic! I messed up my dates while away and needed to extend and she was accommodating which was a life-saver. Will definitely reach out again for future sitting.
Maria has been so great with my dog, Hobbes! He’s a deaf pittie who can require a little extra care and she’s always been easy going and understanding of his quirks! I can count on her to be dependable and punctual. She’s incredibly responsive and will go the extra mile to make your dog feel loved!!
Maria is the best dog mama! She loves animals and has experience volunteering at the Arizona Humane Society, which makes her knowledge on how to handle many different breeds and temperaments. She will listen to any of the weird requests you have for your pets and make sure they get what they need to feel safe and happy while you’re gone. Maria will take great care of your babies!
Maria has been watching my dogs for 8 years and I trust no one more to care for them. She is knowledgeable, paitent, and super fun. I’ve never met a dog who doesn’t love her!
