“Judy is my go-to sitter! She is the BEST!! Whenever I am out of town, I book her with no hesitation. She always makes me feel at ease and I know my pets feel so loved when she is watching them.”

“We felt very comfortable with Jessi! Our first time booking her, and she took excellent care of our dog. Quick to communicate and sent detailed updates, which was much appreciated!”

“Amazing job. Wutt was professional, punctual, receptive to changes in our cats’ needs while we’re gone. Wutt went above and beyond, cannot recommend her services enough.”

“Alexis came over to meet Mabel and Edith ahead of potential overnight stays and occasional walks. She was patient with our very friendly (and very excited) girls, who love new people and have absolutely no sense of personal space. She asked thoughtful questions about their routines and personalities, and even about their sister cat, Samoa Jane. Alexis quickly picked up on the girls’ quirks and need for attention, balancing engaging with them while also taking the time to answer our questions. The girls went looking for her after she left, a clear sign they were happy to have met a new friend!”

“Meghan has been the best sitter for us and little Bailey. We only tend to need services intermittently, but Meghan communicates very well, asks for our preferences, and is willing to schedule out ahead of time. I’d recommend her to anyone.”

About: I absolutely adore all animals, especially dogs! I have been caring for and house sitting dogs of all breeds since I was 15 years old. Throughout my experience, I have cared for both puppies and senior dogs making sure to adapt to each dog's unique personality and needs. I have grown up and lived with dogs my entire life, so I understand the importance of providing them with love, attention, and exercise. I am highly attentive, reliable, and committed to satisfying both the pet’s and owner’s needs. I am currently a student; however, I have a very flexible schedule, and can tailor my schedule towards the needs of my clients. I can work weekends. I am a focused and hard worker and will make sure your pet is cared for to the best of my ability. I love all animals and want to make sure that their needs are met through exercise, love, and care.
“Melissa was fantastic! She treated my dog like family and kept me up to date every visit. I was very nervous about leaving my dog at home but Melissa made it easier. I will 100% request her again.”

“Sarah treated my fur babies with such love and kindness! She sent me pictures daily of my oldest kitty! Cleo really likes Sarah :) I am very happy that I found her and will most certainly hire her in the near future!”

“Thank you thank, you Janice for looking after Cleo kitty!! While she may be shy, I think you won her over with by your great care and kindness. We really appreciate the daily updates and photos (wasn't easy to get pics of the disappearing kitty). We'll be getting in touch with you innthe future🤗”

“She is so trustworthy and caring. Even in bad weather, she still came and took care of our cat, and was always very responsible. We know our car loves her, and we truly couldn’t ask for a better person. We would highly recommend her.”

“Ava was absolutely lovely and was able to accommodate my last-minute requests. She was great with Flo, followed all directions, and even did extra, like bringing in packages and feeding my fish. She also sent lots of great pictures and observations about Flo's behavior while I was away. Would most definitely recommend!”

“Thank you Richard, Sasha, and Charlie for taking extra good care of our Velcro cat. We had total peace of mind while traveling out of the country, and Richard was a quick communicator even with our time difference. Our kitty looked super happy in the photos we received from them. We highly recommend booking with these guys :)”

About: I grew up with a golden retriever named Hailey, and when I was younger I helped my mom foster care for various puppies and cats. I am available weekdays during the summer. I am a 6 ft broad shouldered guy, so I can handle any dogs you throw at me. I have always loved animals, especially dogs. I gaurentee your dog will get a ton of positive attention, and physical activity if need be! Hope to meet tons of cool dogs! Currently doing Rover work as a summer job while I go to school for engineering! Available most weekdays and some weekends. Have a dog of my own but my parents treat him like a grandchild so I have plenty of time for Rover. Have plenty of experience with high anxiety/elder dogs as well as dogs with special needs such as diabetes who need injections through my sister's dog as well as some neighbors! One such dog usually hates people who aren't his owner but I wore him down and now he loves me! She is always shocked at how he reacts when he sees me, usually he barks and snarls at most people/other dogs but he's all cuddles when I come by. My sister's dog is high anxiety and hates most men but of course not me because Im special. (jk just great with dogs!)

About: I have been taking care of animals for 8+ years. I have many years of experience and am also a cat owner myself. I feel very comfortable taking care of pets. My aunt is a vet and always my point of contact when I have questions, so I feel confident that I am knowledgeable about taking care of animals☺️ I currently work full time, from 7a-3:30p. After that I am available to take care of your pets! I also have all weekends and holidays off! I currently have a cat and live in an apartment but am comfortable bringing other animals in. I also have past experience with staying over in clients homes to pet sit and feel very comfortable doing so.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Ann Arbor
Magnolia dropped in a few times a day to care for our 2 little dogs for a week, while we were gone. She did a great job and left everything neat. The dogs did NOT bark at her the whole time, which is about the best review our dogs can leave (they are nervous around people who are not their people). Magnolia was not worried about the dogs being nervous. We would be happy to have her back.
Emilee was able to help us with our cats last minute when my boyfriend and I were leaving for a trip. She made the effort to come to our apartment and meet our babies before we left which made us feel that much more comfortable leaving them. Her updates while we were gone were so meaningful. Highly recommend!
Nicholas was great with our two cats! He showed up at consistent times to feed them, clean the litter, and play with them. We even received pictures of our youngest (Duncan) sitting on his lap, which he never does with strangers. I will happily reach out to him again in the future and recommend others do the same if they’re looking for a friendly, reliable pet sitter.

Lauren was amazing! She was always on time, communicated really well, and sent me pictures and updates of Lucio every day. Lucio really liked her and seemed very comfortable with her, which gave me a lot of peace of mind while I was away. She was also incredibly nice and easy to work with. I would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her!

Teresa was incredibly helpful and setting up a routine visit request that met our needs and her availability. Her updated were thorough and conveyed our kitties satisfaction with her visits. She didnt clock the meet and greet or returning keys and was considerate of our busy schedule throughout. I would highly recommend her for house visits and would also not be surprised at her capabilities for house sitting and board services as well. Thank you so much once again for the wonderful care you gave Otis and ourselves during our trip 😊

Natiely was great! She was super helpful and flexible on short notice. My cat's medication dosage changed right before I left on a trip and Natiely was able to adjust easily. She sent thorough updates and pictures, and she built great trust with my very shy cat in less than a week. I came home to a calm and happy cat!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
