About: I've been walking dogs and house-sitting since high school. There's nothing I love more than getting outside, and having a dog by my side makes it even better. I'm also lucky to have a beautiful home with a fully fenced yard, so dogs of all ages and energy levels are welcome. Couch potato or high energy pup — there's space for both here. Your dog will be in good hands and treated like family. I have a flexible work from home schedule and will be able to accommodate your preferred walking routine. I love taking dogs in the car to explore new areas or I'm happy to walk them around your block. Morning, midday, or evening are all workable. For boarding, I am flexible in terms of drop-off or pick-up. Dogs are welcome to board any day of the week and for any length of time. I have a fenced in yard and lots of time to spend with your pet! Currently, there are no pets in the house, but the space really is perfect for it. There may be additions coming soon! In the meantime your pet will enjoy lots of attention and care. I am comfortable following any food, medication, or treat/training routine you are currently implementing. I keep my space very neat and tidy. If I am in your space, I will of course be respectful and do the same.
“Abby stayed with our one year old dog for one week at our home while we were out of the country. She was super easy to communicate with and took great care of him and our house. Would use her again in a heartbeat!”

“Josh was absolutely awesome - wish I could give him more than 5 stars! He was so nice and flexible when I had to change my plans around. Josh really went the extra mile in making sure our Diesel was well taken care of while we were away. A big thank you to Josh - he will be my first call the next time we need to go out of town with our best boy :)”

“Oanh took great care of our two dogs and cat while we were gone for the week! She was very communicative and sent lots pictures to ease our minds. We will absolutely book with her again!”

“Marissa was so immediately kind and loving to my dog and he gravitated to her immediately. He was a happy guy when I got home and seemed well cared for. Marissa communicated well with me and took great care of the house. I will definitely be asking her to care for my dog again. Thanks Marissa.”

“Lauren was fantastic. She took care of our dog during a two day power outage, going above and beyond to keep us in the loop and even stacking fallen branches in the backyard. Our house and pup, were well taken care of and in great condition when we got home.”

About: I’m a huge animal lover with years of hands-on shelter and foster experience, and I genuinely love caring for pets of all personalities and needs. I volunteered for two years with Philly PAWS and currently a volunteer at HSHV. Over the years, I’ve fostered 15+ cats, including kittens, seniors, and cats who need special care, such as medications and eye drops. I’m also very comfortable with shy, anxious, or formerly stray cats, and I take pride in helping them feel safe, calm, and comfortable in a new environment. I care for both cats and dogs, and I’m happy to host multiple cats at once if they are all friendly with cats. For dogs, I only take one dog at a time, so they get my full attention and a calm, low-stress stay. I don’t have any pets of my own at home, which means your pet will be my TOP priority! My home/neighborhood: I live in a large apartment with tall ceilings, stairs, and vertical space, including a cat tree. The neighborhood also has a dog park. My care style: I’m very attentive, patient, and responsive. I love engaging in playtimes and can be calm and gentle for seniors or pets needing extra support. I’m comfortable following detailed care instructions. I have a flexible schedule and am quick in communication. I send daily photos and updates, so you can always know how your pet is doing. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else, and I don’t take that lightly! Whether your pet needs extra patience or special care, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. I’d love to meet you and your pet—feel free to reach out anytime! I'm a PhD student at Umich with a flexible schedule that allows me to work from home most days of the week. If I’m away from my house it’s usually within 3 hours to 4 hours, and my office is very close to my apartment so I can come back quickly. I follow the feeding instructions (and any medication or special care instructions). I provide a variety of toys, snacks, and comfortable beds, ensuring your pet's happiness. Daily check-ins guarantee their well-being with pictures and I'm always ready to play, offer food, water, groom, and provide a clean litter box as needed. Your pet's comfort and happiness are my top priorities! For dog boarding, I usually walk once in the morning and once at night, but if I am home in the afternoon we go for potty breaks.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Ann Arbor
Coryn was amazing! She took great care of our pets and sent us regular updates and pictures. It was so nice to know our pets were being loved on while we were away. She also took good care of our home and left everything clean when we got back. We will definitely be using Coryn again!

We booked Meaghan to house sit our dog Jade during a holiday weekend. She is absolutely the best Rover we’ve ever worked with! She had an accurate schedule listed, timely communication, and accommodated meeting our dog and home beforehand to ensure there were no hiccups. She took care of Jade sensitively with great care and detail, not only doing the standard dog things like walking and feeding but also administering medicines. She kept us in the loop with frequent updates that made us feel relaxed being away from home because we knew Jade was in good hands. 100% would book again

Corey is absolutely amazing! This was my first time leaving my dog for multiple days with a rover sitter. Corey answered all my questions and was so kind and reliable. My dog is a nervous nelly and can be quite dramatic but Corey was so patient and caring with him. Corey sent pictures or gave updates every day, which was greatly appreciated. I will definitely book with them again!

Mar has been amazing. We were looking for someone to watch our energetic 50 lbs puppy for a week as we traveled aboard. Mar made us feel very comfortable throughout the stay and made us feel that our puppy was in great hands- which was very important for us as this was our first time to be apart from our puppy for an extended time. Highly recommend and will definitely hire again.

Josh helped us out last minute after our other sitter cancelled. He was a great communicator and so sweet with our boi Ernie. He was timely and left our house very clean which was so nice to come home to after a few days away! He also gave us a heads up about an HVAC issue so we could get a jump start on figuring things out before getting home. Would recommend and use again!

Tyler couldn't have been a kinder or sweeter person to stay at my house to watch my precious Becka. We came home to a happy dog and a house just the way we left it. The first time we met him, he instantly set my mind at ease and I had no reservations of leaving my house and my precious Becka with him. I would absolutely recommend Tyler and would not hesitate to hire him again. Thank you again.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Ann Arbor walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Ann Arbor maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Ann Arbor choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Ann Arbor. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
