About: I grew up with a golden retriever named Hailey, and when I was younger I helped my mom foster care for various puppies and cats. I am available weekdays during the summer. I am a 6 ft broad shouldered guy, so I can handle any dogs you throw at me. I have always loved animals, especially dogs. I gaurentee your dog will get a ton of positive attention, and physical activity if need be! Hope to meet tons of cool dogs! Currently doing Rover work as a summer job while I go to school for engineering! Available most weekdays and some weekends. Have a dog of my own but my parents treat him like a grandchild so I have plenty of time for Rover. Have plenty of experience with high anxiety/elder dogs as well as dogs with special needs such as diabetes who need injections through my sister's dog as well as some neighbors! One such dog usually hates people who aren't his owner but I wore him down and now he loves me! She is always shocked at how he reacts when he sees me, usually he barks and snarls at most people/other dogs but he's all cuddles when I come by. My sister's dog is high anxiety and hates most men but of course not me because Im special. (jk just great with dogs!)

As a medical student, I’m trained to notice small changes in behavior, energy, or appetite and to take safety seriously while still keeping things fun and relaxed. I’m especially great with senior pets and medically complex animals who need a little extra patience or reassurance. I’m reliable with routines, medications, and special instructions, and I always move at your pet’s pace. Currently working part time in (psychiatry) research and studying for our required national board exams. As such, I will have plenty of time for your fur family members! I prioritize safety, consistency, and making pets feel comfortable in their own environment. In a client’s home, I follow all routines closely, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, and house rules, so pets experience as little disruption as possible. I’m very attentive to doors, leashes, and surroundings during walks, and I always keep pets secure and supervised. I pay close attention to body language and behavior and adjust care if a pet seems anxious, tired, or overstimulated. I keep homes clean and respectful, send regular updates and photos, and communicate right away if anything seems off. Lauren was amazing! She was always on time, communicated really well, and sent me pictures and updates of Lucio every day. Lucio really liked her and seemed very comfortable with her, which gave me a lot of peace of mind while I was away. She was also incredibly nice and easy to work with. Teresa was incredibly helpful and setting up a routine visit request that met our needs and her availability. Her updated were thorough and conveyed our kitties satisfaction with her visits. She didnt clock the meet and greet or returning keys and was considerate of our busy schedule throughout. I would highly recommend her for house visits and would also not be surprised at her capabilities for house sitting and board services as well. Natiely was great! She was super helpful and flexible on short notice. My cat's medication dosage changed right before I left on a trip and Natiely was able to adjust easily. She sent thorough updates and pictures, and she built great trust with my very shy cat in less than a week. I came home to a calm and happy cat!
This was our first time with Lizz and she did an absolutely outstanding job. We have a pair of very sweet rescue cats, but they have a trauma history and that has resulted in some special needs in their feeding and care. As usual, the cats did all their usual cat things (refusing to eat, hiding etc). Then our equally finicky 1860's house acted up with a blaring wired-in smoke detector fail that further upset the cats until Lizz fixed it. Next came an epic heat dome, that descended upon the city meaning Lizz had to enact our complicated fan-cooling strategic window opening and closing choreography (since we don't have AC). The final insults was "Hazardous to Health" air quality levels sweeping into town from Canadian wildfires. Each challenge brought me to the nail-chewing brink of canceling the vacation and flying home, but Lizz's competence and solutions won me over each time. Lizz is exceptionally smart, skilled in cat herding and house issues. She is a good communicator: quickly responsive and compassionate with a nice sense of humor. She ended the cats' food strike quickly with special Lizz tricks, found all their difficult-to-access hiding places, and although these cats are hardcore fugitives; I claim they had nice expressions on their faces in the later photos (indicating they decided they liked Lizz too.) Lizz is our hands-down first choice for our next trips, even though after all of this we are possibly her last choice. Highly recommend!
Felt super comfy leaving my cats for a long weekend with Maeson dropping in! She asked great questions about my cats to get to know their preferences better. Both my cats really liked her. She was very detailed in her updates and took so many great action shots playing with our cats! I would be happy to hire her again in the future.
