I’ve looked after many friends’ pets over the years and take pride in giving them reliable, attentive care. I keep their space clean, follow routines closely, and make sure they get plenty of exercise and attention. I’m patient, responsible, and comfortable with different personalities, from playful pets to shy or older ones. I am very energetic and love to play with dogs and cats and go for long walks.

Safety and trust are the foundation of care, whether the pets are in my home or theirs. I make sure the environment is secure, no hazards, doors and gates checked, and safe spaces available if they need quiet time. I follow their routines closely, use positive handling, and never force interactions. In a client’s home, I respect their space and keep everything as they left it, while giving their pets consistent attention and supervision. In my home, I provide a calm setting with clean bowls, cozy resting areas, and safe play zones. I monitor their behavior, keep emergency contacts and vet info handy, and always prioritize comfort, routine, and reliability so they feel safe and cared for.

Kaylee was wonderful with my cat while I was away! She was reliable, kind, and communicative throughout the booking, and she completed all of the scheduled visits. I really appreciated that she asked questions when she wanted to make sure she understood the instructions, kept me updated, and let me know right away when anything came up. She also handled a small mess my cat made and was thoughtful enough to offer to come back later to check on him. It was clear she cared about him and spent time with him, which gave me a lot of peace of mind while I was traveling. I would happily book Kaylee again and highly recommend her.

Schedule
I start the morning with feeding, walks, or play, and build the day around regular check-ins, potty breaks, and enrichment time. I plan errands and work so I’m available when the pets need attention, and I keep evenings open for another walk or calm bonding time. Weekly, I maintain a steady routine, cleaning bowls and bedding, refreshing supplies, and adjusting schedules if a pet needs extra care.

- Before caring for someone’s pets, it’s helpful to know their routines, dietary needs, medications, and any health issues. Understanding their personality, like shy, energetic, anxious, or cuddly, helps shape how to interact with them. Details like favorite toys, allergies, commands they know, quirks, or fears (like storms or loud noises) are also important. It’s good to know how they behave with strangers, other animals, and on walks, as well as emergency contacts and their vet information. The more I know up front, the smoother and safer the stay will be.
