“My experience with Jessi was perfect! My shy cats actually came out from under the bed for her. She left super informative feedback and accommodated all my requests! She was super sweet and kind. I will definitely rebook with her soon!”

“Lyle cares for our two pooches and elderly kitty on a regular basis. He is always super responsive and does his best to help us if we have a last minute need for him to drop in our fur babies. Our pups love him and we know they are well cared for when we're not home.”

“Hana visited our home and cared our cats once every three-day during our overseas travels. During this periods, our home had multiple Wi-Fi and technical issues affecting our cat machines, we felt grateful Hana was able to tackle the issues, so we didn't need to request too many extra visit or worried about the cats on the other side of the globe. We are very pleased Hana was our cats sitter, and highly recommend her!!”

“We could not have asked for a better person to care for our pets. Carissa has been with our family since Finnie (our golden retriever puppy) was just a few months old, and over that time she played an incredibly meaningful role in his growth and development. She went far beyond basic care — helping reinforce potty training and foundational commands like sit, stay, lay down, and shake, while also teaching him fun skills like high fives, dancing, and running between our legs. Caring for a young, energetic, large dog isn’t always easy, and Carissa handled every phase with patience, consistency, and genuine love — even on Finnie’s tougher days. She was a steady, trusted presence in his life, and we always knew he was safe, cared for, and understood when he was with her. She was also wonderful with our cat, Walter, always checking in on him during visits and even bringing in our packages — thoughtful touches that truly showed how much care she put into our home as a whole. Communication was always clear and kind, and it was obvious she treated our pets as if they were her own. We are endlessly grateful for everything Carissa has done for our family, and we cannot recommend her highly enough. Any pet would be incredibly lucky to be in her care.”

“Theresa is a lovely sitter!! I left my kittens alone for the first time and she gave them plenty of love, play, and attention :) she sent plenty of pictures and updates. they couldn’t be any happier!”

“We loved having Karla check in on our pup while I was having a medical procedure out of state. I had an adverse reaction and had to stay an extra night and Karla saved our butts by being able to do an extra day! Very punctual and highly recommend using her!”

“Arden did an awesome job watching my cats for me while I was on vacation. She was very communicative each drop-in, and my cats warmed up to her and were excited to see her! Would definitely hire Arden again the next time I need a pet sitter.”

“I cannot say enough good things about Barb. I did not have a care or a worry about my cat or my house while I was away. I knew everything was in great hands with Barb. Having peace of mind while away is not always possible. But Barb provided that, which is priceless. Yet beyond all of that, my cat adored Barb. He loved her calm and gentle nature and I could tell from the videos and pictures Barb shared, that he felt safe and nurtured around her.”

“Fatima did a wonderful job watching our two cats! She provided detailed updates and made sure to give them extra treats and attention on top of their daily chores. She was also very prompt and great at communication. We would absolutely book her again!”

“Marla was great! This was my first time using rover and I’m glad Marla was our first experience. Marla got my cats to interact with her on the first visit! I was able to have peace of mind while away, and I’m super grateful for her. Thanks so much!!”

“We were very pleased with Christine (and Brad) for taking such good care of Freddie while we were gone away on vacation. Christine kept in very good contact with us and kept us apprised each day of how Freddie was doing and what he was doing and sent pics to us each time. Not only did she take excellent care of Freddie, but she also vaccumed the rug of excess cat hair, as he is a long-haired cat, and she didn't want us to come home to clumps of cat fur on the carpet. Additionally, she also watered our plants and brought in our mail daily. We would definitely recommend her (them) to other pet owners and we appreciate everything they did for Freddie and us.”

“Rani is Heaven sent! We had a prior arrangement that was not going well and Rani was available and flexible and soooo good with our cat, Loki. She really gave him the love and affection that we would have, which is exactly what we were looking for! You will not go wrong with leaving your fur babies in her hands. Thank you again, Rani! You restored our peace. God bless you!”

About: I have been taking care of animals for 8+ years. I have many years of experience and am also a cat owner myself. I feel very comfortable taking care of pets. My aunt is a vet and always my point of contact when I have questions, so I feel confident that I am knowledgeable about taking care of animals☺️ I currently work full time, from 7a-3:30p. After that I am available to take care of your pets! I also have all weekends and holidays off! I currently have a cat and live in an apartment but am comfortable bringing other animals in. I also have past experience with staying over in clients homes to pet sit and feel very comfortable doing so.
“Peace of mind is what Jenna provided us! We are first time Rover users. Jenna was all business with a huge side of kindness!! She fought the awful elements here in Michigan...we were gone during the extreme cold so we are extra appreciative! She even washed out the food containers I had prepared our dog's food in, as well as the fun lick pad we use for our cat! I honestly didn't expect that because I am lazy and leaving them soaking for a week! Hahaha Also, being that we were gone for 7 days (they are used to me being home everyday) I appreciated the pictures of Piper and Archer cuddling with Jenna! Tells me all I need to know! Jenna will be our future extended fam!”

“Lacy is so friendly and very responsive! She reached out when there were questions too. My cats were happy and fed while we were away for a trip. We even got lots of photos during the visits! Would definitely have her watch my pets again.”

“Alexis did an amazing job with our pups for a long sit. They were so happy with her and her care for them was exceptional. Alexis was very communicative and flexible throughout the stay. I would absolutely have her petsit again.”

Julia was wonderful to work with and I will definitely book with her again. She followed our instructions for animal care and provided photos and updates at each visit. All communication was prompt and professional. Our animals were happy and safe on our return. Something necessary unexpectedly broke on her first day and she was still able to find a way to do what needed to be done despite the challenge -and she let me know. She is an incredibly kind person. I felt like I was leaving a trusted friend to care for my animals and home, which I deeply appreciate as this was the first time we’ve hired this type of care. I strongly recommend her!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
