About: My family and I live on a small hobby farm in Salem Twp. We have 4 goats, 30+ chickens, two dogs and 3 cats (plus two human kids!) Farm life is busy but I love animals so much and would love to take care of yours, too. I grew up with two cats but never really considered myself to be a "cat person" until Matilda came along. She was found at ~9 weeks old in a box on the side of a rural road near our house. My original plan was to let her live in our barn to catch mice, but well...I fell in love with her. Then we adopted two barn cats who were found by our vet and I also fell in love with them (so much so that they've never been outside the barn because I can't imagine something happening to them.) So now I guess I'm a cat person!

I have had large dogs including Rottweilers, Black Lab, Shepard's, and Huskies and taken care of small dogs too including poodles and dachshund's. About: I was born and raised as an animal person. There was rarely a time when my family was without a pet of some sort, from dogs and cats to gerbils, rabbits, lizards and hermit crabs. So naturally when I married a fellow animal lover who worked at a dog kennel for 9+ years as a teenager, we decided to get a dog...and then some chickens...and 4 goats...and another dog...and 3 cats. About: I have owned two dogs as pets. One lived to be 17. My dogs I have owned were both spunkie and lots of fun! I also worked in Illinois for a local dog walking/sitter company. I would walk my dogs for 20 I do walks in all kinds of weather. I had 2-4 dogs a week. Frankie a male dog and Ginger an older arthritic dog; they were my regulars. I would end every visit with petting and a treat. I really love my dogs and took very good care of them. Every visit ends with a text to the owner including a cute photo and information on whether the dog peed and pooped. I also volunteer at the Huron Velley Humane Society. My son has had all kinds of animals so if you have a bearded dragon or hamster I am familiar with many different pets. I love the flexibility. I enjoy getting outdoors and I love animals. This is a great combo for me. I’m recently stopped working this will a great way to fill my days. My dog gets a lot of love. I believe the best part of dogs is they are simple they just need attention and love. The last two dogs I had I gave lots of petting and hugs. Dogs also need stimulation whether it be playing fetch or using a Kong or some other activity an owner may have I like to incorporate that into my visit.

“Marija and her family took such great care of my dog!!! She did an excellent job of keeping me up-to-date with pictures and videos. It was clear that Ellie was in great hands and having fun. I was especially nervous leaving her as she has only been boarded away from home by a non-family member just once before. Added to that is we had to put her brother to sleep a month ago, so she's been dealing with some separation anxiety. Marija and her family clearly treated her as if she were their own. Wonderful home and yard and an even more wonderful family. Highly, highly recommended!!!”
