“Lauren took the time to carefully read through all the background info I gave her about my reactive dog in advance, and she did a great job of following all the instructions I'd given her about how to set him up for success when he's meeting a new person. She was mindful of his sensitivities and was a calm, competent, and friendly presence when meeting him. We'll definitely book her again!”

“Fatima did a wonderful job watching our two cats! She provided detailed updates and made sure to give them extra treats and attention on top of their daily chores. She was also very prompt and great at communication. We would absolutely book her again!”

About: I am excited to help care for your pets! I grew up with two dogs of my own and have also spent many hours volunteering at local animal shelters to give some love to animals in need. I currently have two pet rats, and am a lover of all creatures big and small (although I do have a soft spot for cats). I have a flexible routine this summer, allowing me ample time to care for your lovely pets! I prefer afternoons, but am happy to adjust for specific pet care needs. When caring for your pet(s) in your home, I will always do my best to make your pet feel as comfortable and loved as possible! I know that each pet is different, and I will always make sure to have a detailed conversation with you about how I can best connect and care for your pet(s).
“We felt very comfortable with Jessi! Our first time booking her, and she took excellent care of our dog. Quick to communicate and sent detailed updates, which was much appreciated!”

“Ava is amazing. I feel like I definitely found someone I can trust with my puppy. She takes lots of pictures and tells you exactly what happened while she was there. Overall, I’m really impressed and will contact her again.”

About: Hi! I've been a dog owner since I was 7 years old. Since then, my love for animals has only grown stronger. Currently, I have a 3 year old Corgi named Jasper. I've learned a lot about dogs since adopting him and I'm always looking for new ways to keep him entertained. For example, making DIY puzzle games during mealtime, teaching him tricks (both useful and for fun), and taking him to new places. Jasper also tends to be anxious, so I have experience with putting in a great deal of work to make dogs comfortable. I also have experience looking after family members' dogs while they're away, including senior dogs. Currently, I’m fully available to meet your pets' needs any day of the week. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions! I'm willing to follow any special instructions given to me about how you'd like your pet cared for. I’m dedicated to treating your pets as I would my own!
“Shengyin (Sean) is the best. I will always check for his availability first whenever I need care for our cats. He cared for our pets as though they were his own and we are very grateful for that.”

About: I have had dogs, cats, bunnies, guinea pigs, and more pets in my home since I was a baby. I have been a cat owner for the last 3 years with my college roommates and my family dog has been with us since he was a puppy I am working as a barista, so I have lots of availability ! it changes day-to-day, but typically I am available in the mornings and afternoons (I usually work evenings) I am very familiar with pets of all kinds and love getting to know their quirks and needs. I can drive pets to the dog park and or / vet/grooming appointments.

About: I have my own dog and cat, and have taken care of animals through dog walking/sitting almost my entire life. I pride my self on trying to understand pet’s needs and make their life better. I just graduated with a Masters from the School for Environment and Sustainability and love being outdoors with animals! I take the dogs out for their daily walk La and play with the cats daily and ensure all animals are fed on their normal schedules Genuinely pets are family and get treated with respect and trust. I know they get bored and lonely and I would love to bring them a little joy while spending time with them.
About: I hit the jackpot when I was born into a family of dog people! With personal experience in my home and at a pet-adoption agency where I volunteered, there has not been a single dog I did not love: the timid, high-energy, skittish, adventurous or couch potato. I have been a pet caretaker all my life, but I gained a new appreciation for senior care once my 13-year-old Weimaraner got sick and vet visits became routine and his food became completely homemade. I am a student at U of M taking a 3 day/week summer course, so I have plenty of time to dedicate to furry friends. I have house-sat for pet parents (2 terriers, one senior and one puppy) numerous times. I also am very familiar with signs of distress, having 2 senior dogs myself. Whether your dog needs regular walks, play time, eating on a strict schedule, or medication at a specific time, I am happy to accommodate their routine! I have so much love for any and all dogs who come my way and treat others as if they were my own.
“We had Kayla coming for lunch time visits at least three days a week (and a bunch of extra visits during the weekends), and it was such a huge relief to know that our dog was so well cared for and loved during those times. We all greatly enjoyed getting to know Kayla and we were completely comfortable with having her look after our girl and be in our home. Would highly recommend Kayla’s services!”

“This was our first time using Rover! We wanted an animal lover, and we needed someone we felt we could trust like family — Emily was just that. She met our two dachshunds and our two siamese cats at our meet and greet, and we knew she was a true animal lover. For this past trip, she looked after our two siamese cats for a week and even managed to earn the approval of our very territorial female siamese (few have done — even family members). She went above and beyond giving them the attention each of them needed based on their unique personalities, and gave us updates with every visit. It was such a relief knowing Emily was looking after our kitties and we didn’t have to worry about how they were doing. We hope to book her for our next trip!”

“Great experience with Natiely! Caring and communicative 🙏 She gave me regular updates and shared numerous details and pictures of the kitties. My cats were well taken care of and seeemed very comfortable in her presence. I would definitely book her again! ♥️”

“Regan takes care of 7 year old Labrador Retriever Baby Jack (BJ), and 13.5 year old Labrador Retriever Jill. She is reliable and shows up as promised. She does a great job of playing with BJ and getting him relaxed and calm. Regan is patient with Jill who is quite elderly and requires a lot of TLC. We highly recommend Regan--she is smart, reliable, caring and everything anyone could want in a dog companion! Five stars and we will continue to use her for walks, playtime and overnights!!!”
About: Growing up we always had pets in my home. We’ve always had 1-3 cats and had a dog once (the heartbreak of her loss kept us from getting another). I’ve had the responsibility of walking my dog 3 times a day, feeding the dog and the cats twice a day, and spending extended periods of time with them. I recently moved to A2 from Chicago and am working full-time as an occupational therapist in a hospital, looking for a part-time gig. I would love to look after others’ pets during my free time from my studies. I am a very calm and detail-oriented individual. I live with my partner of 4 years and my senior cat I’ve had for 19 years. I love being with both cats and dogs and am looking forward to tending to their needs and providing a very fun, welcoming, and loving experience! I work full-time during the week but am available for early morning visits before work, evening visits after work, and most weekends. If you have a specific schedule in mind, feel free to reach out—I’m happy to see if we can find a time that works! I treat every pet like they’re my own and always prioritize their safety, comfort, and routine. I’m experienced caring for cats and dogs of different ages and personalities, including senior pets. I’m happy to follow your pet’s normal schedule, administer medications if needed, and provide regular photo and text updates so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Ann Arbor
We are so appreciating Chloe and JTs great care of our high energy puppy. They are great communicators, dependable, most importantly have play time while caring for Bao sharing in pictures their fun times with him. We appreciate their knowledge and input they have.

Lauren took the time to carefully read through all the background info I gave her about my reactive dog in advance, and she did a great job of following all the instructions I'd given her about how to set him up for success when he's meeting a new person. Meaghan was great! She was accommodating with my last minute request (after my previous arrangements fell through!), was on time for all her check-ins, and gave detailed updates/photos - which made me feel at ease while I was away! Would recommend and hire again :)

Melissa was great to work with! It was our first time using Rover with our new puppy, but she made the process easy and was very communicative from start to finish. Our pup seemed to have a lot of fun with her as well! We will definitely be asking Melissa to watch him again in the future.

We had a great experience with Abigail taking care of our two senior dogs over Memorial Day weekend! She was communicative, prompt, and consistently checked in when questions came up. We really appreciated her flexibility and willingness to accommodate our dogs’ individual needs and quirks. It gave us peace of mind knowing they were in reliable and attentive hands while we were away. We’d absolutely book with her again!

Melissa has been amazing with communication and was able to accommodate last-minute requests with my dogs, one of whom can be a little challenging due to his separation anxiety. My dogs had a blast with her! I would highly recommend her and will absolutely continue using her services when she’s available.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
