“Celine was great! She was good with dogs & made sure she understood everything with the dogs so she wouldn’t be caught by surprise. She was friendly, prompt, and provided regular updates. We’d definitely recommend her services.”

About: I've been caring for pets my whole life, and have been a trusted sitter for family and friends for many years. I've also been a volunteer for the Humane Society since 2019, helping socialize and train some of the most challenging shelter dogs and cats. I have experience with large and xl dogs, senior animals, and puppies and kittens 8 weeks and older. I grew up in a family that adopted all sorts of pets, from dogs and cats to guinea pigs, horses, parakeets, and one very majestic iguana. While I don't currently have any pets since my last elderly fur baby crossed the Rainbow Bridge, I look forward to adopting again in the future from a rescue organization. I'm a freelance grant writer, which means lots of flexibility to meet your scheduling needs. I can do drop-in visits and overnights at your home, and will happily send you as many photos as you like. Your trust and your fur baby's well being are my top priorities. I always make sure to follow any instructions or rules you have for your home and pets.

“Thank you so much, you went above and beyond! Normally it takes a visit or two with a new person before she lets you pet her! This is my first time using rover but I'll be sure to contact you again in the future as needed. I hope she can continue to warm up to you!”

“Fatima is super responsive and was very flexible when we needed to adjust our dates last minute. She is super gentle and even our very shy cat felt comfortable with her by the second time he met her! We were very impressed! We didn't worry about our cats at all while we were away. We are hoping that next time we need a cat sitter she will be available and I'm sure our cats would love to see her again.”

About: I absolutely adore all animals, especially dogs! I have been caring for and house sitting dogs of all breeds since I was 15 years old. Throughout my experience, I have cared for both puppies and senior dogs making sure to adapt to each dog's unique personality and needs. I have grown up and lived with dogs my entire life, so I understand the importance of providing them with love, attention, and exercise. I am highly attentive, reliable, and committed to satisfying both the pet’s and owner’s needs. I am currently a student; however, I have a very flexible schedule, and can tailor my schedule towards the needs of my clients. I can work weekends. I am a focused and hard worker and will make sure your pet is cared for to the best of my ability. I love all animals and want to make sure that their needs are met through exercise, love, and care.

About: I've been walking dogs and house-sitting since high school. There's nothing I love more than getting outside, and having a dog by my side makes it even better. I'm also lucky to have a beautiful home with a fully fenced yard, so dogs of all ages and energy levels are welcome. Couch potato or high energy pup — there's space for both here. Your dog will be in good hands and treated like family. I have a flexible work from home schedule and will be able to accommodate your preferred walking routine. I love taking dogs in the car to explore new areas or I'm happy to walk them around your block. Morning, midday, or evening are all workable. For boarding, I am flexible in terms of drop-off or pick-up. Dogs are welcome to board any day of the week and for any length of time. I have a fenced in yard and lots of time to spend with your pet! Currently, there are no pets in the house, but the space really is perfect for it. There may be additions coming soon! In the meantime your pet will enjoy lots of attention and care. I am comfortable following any food, medication, or treat/training routine you are currently implementing. I keep my space very neat and tidy. If I am in your space, I will of course be respectful and do the same.
About: Worked at a dog day care for a short while during college, but lived with pets all my life. Current owner of a cat named Moss, and looking to spend some quality time with your pet <3 I’m working full time, but saving money for traveling. My weekly schedule for work is Monday - Friday 2pm - 10pm. Always looking to fill my days off with things to get me out of the house. I live in a one bedroom apartment with one cat named Moss. Safe, quiet, and tidy, with neighbors who have all sorts of pets in the area.
About: My personal experience taking care of dogs has allowed me to develop an understanding of their needs and behavior. This knowledge has proven invaluable in my ability to train puppies, using positive reinforcement techniques. Alongside training, my experience has honed my skills in providing optimal care, from measuring precise portions of food, to ensuring regular exercise through daily walks, and maintaining their hygiene by handling bathing and grooming routines confidently. Reliable and available dog care provider: ready to offer exceptional services on most days, with flexibility and convenience (preferably with advance notice for optimal availability) In prioritizing safety, I have a secure environment for your pets, such as using gates or fences to prevent them from accessing hazardous areas. Additionally, trust is also crucial, so I will establish a bond with the dogs by being consistent, patient, and understanding their individual needs, earning their trust through positive reinforcement techniques. Moreover, I maintain a clean and nurturing environment, regularly inspecting the space for any potential dangers, using non-toxic cleaning products, and providing comfortable resting areas to promote their overall well-being.
“Amazing job. Wutt was professional, punctual, receptive to changes in our cats’ needs while we’re gone. Wutt went above and beyond, cannot recommend her services enough.”

“Magnolia was amazing, I knew my cats would be in good care as soon as I met her. I came back from my trip to two well looked after cats and I will definitely rebook with Magnolia!”

“Mengdongxue was an incredibly reliable and caring pet setter for my kitty! A true lifesaver when my pet care plans had fallen through last-minute. I loved all the photos and updates, and could tell my cat really liked her. I would absolutely recommend Mengdongxue to anyone!”

About: I grew up with 2 small dogs (who think they're cats) and adopted a 16-year-old cat (who thinks she's a human) last year. My cat, Potato, came home from the shelter with chronic kidney disease, arthritis, and stitches from getting one eye removed. Her health journey has taught me a lot about medication administration, symptom tracking, and trusting my gut about when it's time to go to the vet. It's also been incredibly rewarding to watch her heal and settle into her life here :). I am comfortable with dogs and cats of all kinds, and will always follow their lead, whether they want lots of love right away or need time to feel more comfortable. Ultimately, I'm hoping to help out in the community, make a little extra money, and give lots of head scratches! I'm currently between jobs so I have lots of time and flexibility to help out with your pets! I would love to build strong relationships with a few families and their pets that I can continue working with once I am employed. I am sensitive to each pet's needs and, once I know the baseline for a pet's behavior, I am proactive and communicative if I notice anything out of the ordinary.
“Lauren is communicative and loves to take care of our pets and play with them. She's persistent in working through challenges that come up and we'll be happy to book her in the future!”

About: Growing up with a dog my whole life, I've picked up a lot when it comes to dog behavior, body language, and keeping to a routine, things you really can only learn from actually being around dogs. I'm patient, attentive, and take it seriously when someone trusts me with their pet. I'm comfortable with dogs of all sizes and energy levels, and I always make sure to follow each owner's instructions so their dog feels as comfortable as possible while they're away. Currently home for the summer from college, I have a flexible schedule working a part-time job with short hours. I am typically available most mornings and can adjust my schedule on a weekly basis to plan ahead for sitting jobs. I'm also happy to accommodate last-minute requests when my schedule allows. For dog walking, I keep your pup safe and engaged while sending updates along the way. For in-home sitting, I stick as closely as possible to your dog's normal routine so they stay comfortable. For drop-in visits, I make sure your dog gets the attention, care, and potty breaks they need so you can be away with peace of mind.
“I recently adopted my dog, Ziggy, from a shelter. He's a sweet, gentle dog, though has a bit of separation anxiety. Abigail K. clearly loves and understands dogs, and she and Zig got along well from the start. When I returned home I was glad (and relieved) to see Ziggy calm and relaxed, lying next to her on the couch. She also texted me about 15 minutes after I left home to let me know that Ziggy was doing fine. I've already booked her for a longer stay.”

“This was our first time using Rover! We wanted an animal lover, and we needed someone we felt we could trust like family — Emily was just that. She met our two dachshunds and our two siamese cats at our meet and greet, and we knew she was a true animal lover. For this past trip, she looked after our two siamese cats for a week and even managed to earn the approval of our very territorial female siamese (few have done — even family members). She went above and beyond giving them the attention each of them needed based on their unique personalities, and gave us updates with every visit. It was such a relief knowing Emily was looking after our kitties and we didn’t have to worry about how they were doing. We hope to book her for our next trip!”

“Regan takes care of 7 year old Labrador Retriever Baby Jack (BJ), and 13.5 year old Labrador Retriever Jill. She is reliable and shows up as promised. She does a great job of playing with BJ and getting him relaxed and calm. Regan is patient with Jill who is quite elderly and requires a lot of TLC. We highly recommend Regan--she is smart, reliable, caring and everything anyone could want in a dog companion! Five stars and we will continue to use her for walks, playtime and overnights!!!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Ann Arbor
Chloe & JT are truly the best people you could find to take care of your fur babies. I am so grateful I found them! My dog absolutely loves them. They are reliable, trustworthy, and just all around great people. It’s such a relief having someone who cares about your animals as much as you do. They come check on my baby multiple times a week. You won’t regret booking them!
Elizabeth was incredible with our two dogs while we were away in Italy, sending lots of photo updates on their walks. She was punctual, communicative, and personable with other family that was house & toddler sitting for us. My MIL was singing her praises all evening 🙂💖 Would definitely recommend her & rebook for future trips :) !!

Magnolia dropped in a few times a day to care for our 2 little dogs for a week, while we were gone. She did a great job and left everything neat. The dogs did NOT bark at her the whole time, which is about the best review our dogs can leave (they are nervous around people who are not their people). Magnolia was not worried about the dogs being nervous. We would be happy to have her back.
Lauren was great! I have three dogs with totally different personalities and they can be somewhat nervous around new people but they warmed up to her almost immediately! Lauren sent me updates while I was away and she was flexible when the dogs needs changed while I was gone! Would definitely recommend her to anyone.
Meaghan was great! She was accommodating with my last minute request (after my previous arrangements fell through!), was on time for all her check-ins, and gave detailed updates/photos - which made me feel at ease while I was away! Would recommend and hire again :)

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
