About: I've been walking dogs and house-sitting since high school. There's nothing I love more than getting outside, and having a dog by my side makes it even better. I'm also lucky to have a beautiful home with a fully fenced yard, so dogs of all ages and energy levels are welcome. Couch potato or high energy pup — there's space for both here. Your dog will be in good hands and treated like family. I have a flexible work from home schedule and will be able to accommodate your preferred walking routine. I love taking dogs in the car to explore new areas or I'm happy to walk them around your block. Morning, midday, or evening are all workable. For boarding, I am flexible in terms of drop-off or pick-up. Dogs are welcome to board any day of the week and for any length of time. I have a fenced in yard and lots of time to spend with your pet! Currently, there are no pets in the house, but the space really is perfect for it. There may be additions coming soon! In the meantime your pet will enjoy lots of attention and care. I am comfortable following any food, medication, or treat/training routine you are currently implementing. I keep my space very neat and tidy. If I am in your space, I will of course be respectful and do the same.

“Our cat LOVES Ava (maybe more than he loves us!). Before our trip, Ava came over to meet our cat and learn about her responsibilities with him. From the moment she walked in our door it was evident how good she is with animals. She was calm and patient with him as she got to know him, she took cues on his favorite ways to play, and she is so knowledgeable about what cats need beyond everyday cat owner knowledge. While we were away, Ava kept us feeling great about our decision to hire her! She was prompt with her check ins and while she was there, she sent us many pictures and videos. Based on what we saw, we could tell that Ava was quickly securing her spot as our cat’s favorite human. She was also attentive to the things we were concerned about (our cat’s tendency to not use the litter box while home alone) and sent us intentional updates on those specific items. We have already hired Ava again and will continue to do so! Thank you, Ava!”

About: I've been caring for pets my whole life, and have been a trusted sitter for family and friends for many years. I've also been a volunteer for the Humane Society since 2019, helping socialize and train some of the most challenging shelter dogs and cats. I have experience with large and xl dogs, senior animals, and puppies and kittens 8 weeks and older. I grew up in a family that adopted all sorts of pets, from dogs and cats to guinea pigs, horses, parakeets, and one very majestic iguana. While I don't currently have any pets since my last elderly fur baby crossed the Rainbow Bridge, I look forward to adopting again in the future from a rescue organization. About: Hi hi! I am a undergrad student at umich and I have lived with dogs all my life. I am comfortable with medium to large dogs and can provide a lot of love and care with walks, check ins, play time and overnights. I am a full time student starting in late August but my summer schedule is a bit more lax. I’m available throughout the day and on some weekends. During the fall semester year I am available in the late evenings, early mornings and weekends I can assist in walks that prioritize sensory stimulation (sniffing/outdoor exploration beyond just walking) or walks/jogs that target daily exercise. About: I hit the jackpot when I was born into a family of dog people! With personal experience in my home and at a pet-adoption agency where I volunteered, there has not been a single dog I did not love: the timid, high-energy, skittish, adventurous or couch potato. I have been a pet caretaker all my life, but I gained a new appreciation for senior care once my 13-year-old Weimaraner got sick and vet visits became routine and his food became completely homemade. I am a student at U of M taking a 3 day/week summer course, so I have plenty of time to dedicate to furry friends. I have house-sat for pet parents (2 terriers, one senior and one puppy) numerous times. I also am very familiar with signs of distress, having 2 senior dogs myself. Whether your dog needs regular walks, play time, eating on a strict schedule, or medication at a specific time, I am happy to accommodate their routine! I have so much love for any and all dogs who come my way and treat others as if they were my own.

“This was our first time using Rover! We wanted an animal lover, and we needed someone we felt we could trust like family — Emily was just that. She met our two dachshunds and our two siamese cats at our meet and greet, and we knew she was a true animal lover. For this past trip, she looked after our two siamese cats for a week and even managed to earn the approval of our very territorial female siamese (few have done — even family members). She went above and beyond giving them the attention each of them needed based on their unique personalities, and gave us updates with every visit.
