“Fatima did a wonderful job watching our two cats! She provided detailed updates and made sure to give them extra treats and attention on top of their daily chores. She was also very prompt and great at communication. We would absolutely book her again!”

“Matthew is clearly a lover of dogs. He made a real effort to take care of my boys despite last minute plan and dangerous weather afoot. Going "above and beyond " is a compliment I rarely give because I rarely see it, but he certainly did. So im really glad I could have peace of mind amid chaotic travel arrangements.”
“Katie is amazing! My dogs warmed up to her right away & they love her! Katie is an excellent communicator, very conscientious & was great with my dogs. I felt at ease knowing Katie was taking excellent care of my babies! I highly recommend Katie.”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my deep understanding of animals’ individual needs and my commitment to providing care that’s both compassionate and reliable. I have hands-on experience with pets of all ages, from energetic puppies who need structure and training, to senior pets who require patience, medication management, and a gentle touch. I also currently work at an animal boarding facility that would take all species of animals so I have current and up to date experience with all types of animals including reptiles, small mammals/rodents, large mammals, and birds as well as administering medications. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. I structure my day around feeding, walking, playtime, and any special needs each pet requires. Whether in my home or a client’s, I prioritize a calm, safe, and clean environment where pets feel secure and loved. I follow each pet’s routine closely, including medication, exercise, and cuddle time, while keeping pet parents updated with regular check-ins. Safety and trust are always my top priorities—I treat every pet like family and every home with respect. Safety, trust, and a comfortable environment are at the heart of how I care for pets—whether in my home or my client’s. I follow each pet’s routine closely to maintain consistency and reduce stress, including feeding schedules, walks, medication, and playtime. In a client’s home, I respect their space and ensure it stays clean and secure. In my home, pets enjoy a safe, pet-proofed space with plenty of comfort and supervision. I build trust by offering calm, attentive care and sending regular updates, so pet parents feel confident and connected while they’re away.

“Katharyn was great. I’d recommend her to anyone looking for a cat sitter. She took care of the essentials and played and petted Humphrey. I hope she can come back!”

“Mya was wonderful when meeting our dog Goose! He's a sensitive boy and Mya was very accommodating and took the time to really understand and be respectful of his particular needs & quirks. Excited to have had the good luck of finding Mya, I know we'll be super comfortable entrusting Goose with her!”

“Michelle was an absolute godsend for our dog Sophie. We needed a last minute sitter on Labor Day weekend and Michelle was so kind to help us out. She met with Sophie the day before and they hit it off immediately. She gave us lots of updates throughout her drop-in and some wonderful photos, too. Thank you, Michelle! Sophie was in excellent hands!!!!”

“TJ did a great job of looking after our pup and cat when we had to travel out of town for 5 days on short notice. TJ did 2x daily drop ins and kept us posted through the app with pictures and updates after each visit. The animals and the house were in great shape when we returned.”

About: I currently have a small dog with diabetes and need to give her insulin every 12 hours. Both of our babies have a health care plan with our veterinarian and all vaccinations are up to date. They both love taking walks in the park and riding in the car. My other dogs previous to these were 15 years old plus. I love dogs and dogs seem to love me too. I have a fenced in back yard and a large house. Our babies normally have run of the entire house. I would love to work in the Humane Society although, I would want to take them all home with me. It also saddens me to see commercials with the neglected animals and the conditions that they are subjected to. I wish that I could save all of the dogs that are neglected. I have taken care of dogs since I was thirteen years old. I have also taken care of friends dogs when they are gone on vacation. I will be retired and will have time to spend with the dogs that I will be caring for.
“Molly was wonderful with Little Jimmy. After the meet and great I felt very comfortable having her in my home to puppy-sit my little guy. Will definitely have Molly back in the future.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats throughout my whole life. I grew up with dogs from the shelter and cats that were taken in as strays. I’ve pet sat for friends and family many times over the years. Feeding cats, changing litter boxes, walking/playing with dogs, and handling medications. I currently have my own cat and my family has 2 more at their home. I’m also a graduating medical student and have a great medical and first aid background which is often very similar in humans and animals. I’d feel confident managing whatever needs your pet may have. I’m currently awaiting graduation so I have full availability during the day, every day of the week. Plus weekends too. I would be able to pet sit most days from ~8a-8p! But I’m flexible! I would be diligent in collecting thorough instructions from owners and making sure to follow them to a tee. I’d ideally like to do a meet and greet prior to a sitting. And then I’m willing and able to crate dogs, let them out into the yard, put in collar/leash and take on walks. For cats, I’m able to manage whatever diet they may be on, address the litter box, play or cuddle with them, and so on
About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was a child, and I truly love dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I treat every pet as if they were my own, taking the time to get to know them, understand their needs, and build a trusting relationship. I have experience caring for puppies through senior dogs, including dogs with different routines, temperaments, and special needs. I’m also comfortable administering oral medications and using positive reinforcement to help pets feel safe, happy, and cared for. Because I work from home full-time and have a flexible schedule, I’m able to accommodate a variety of needs, including some last-minute requests. I also love walking and being outdoors, so I’m always happy to have a furry buddy join me. Over the years, I’ve been a trusted caretaker for many pets, giving owners peace of mind knowing their dogs are cared for, loved, and treated with patience and kindness while they’re away. I work from home with a very flexible schedule! Your dog can work with me at my home and will always have someone around to give them comfort. I have a fenced in yard and/or can crate your dog if needed. I have a yappy senior chihuahua, that is all bark, no bite.
About: My family had a dog (Buddy) for 9 years. Through caring for him, I have learned to love caring for animals. I have also been a cat and dog sitter/walker for a number of my neighbors over the past 6 years. I am great with both high and low energy pets! I have a full time job, however I do have a lot of flexibility. I am happy to adjust my schedule to get to spend time with your pets! I sadly don’t currently have a pet. In the past, I enjoyed playing with my dog, taking him for walks, and spending as much time with him as possible. He had a lot of energy, especially for an older dog. I was always gentle and patient with him. I would bring my patience to any pet I watch. I truly just love animals and would be a great sitter for your pet.
“Carolyn did such a great job with our sensitive & reactive dog! She was really patient and flexible in doing our special protocol for when people meet our dog, and she's been great about paying attention to detailed instructions on how best to interact with our sensitive guy. She's been very thoughtful and proactive in asking questions about caring for him, too. Definitely recommend!”

“Lillian took care of our two cats and our dog while we went on a spring break road trip. She provided all of the care requested and send us lots of pictures throughout the week. We are grateful for her reliable and quality care. Highly recommend!”

About: I have had a many animals, mostly dogs including one with epilepsy. I will do my very best to aid them in anyway possible ! I usually am home if I am not in class or practice. I have an apartment right outside of school. So i am alway close to home and can get there very easily/quick! I am a collegiate gymnast, so I practice 5 days out of the week. Im normally gone in practice for about 3-4 hours at most. Class or gym is usually the only time I leave home. I can and will do whatever you ask of me to keep your animal comfortable and safe in my or your home. I have had many animals in the past such as dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, and even a turtle! Ive grown up around animals my whole life and have knowledge of a lot of things when it comes to protecting and keeping them safe! I have had to care for them in many ways whether that is a puppy still in potty training, a dog with epilepsy, and even older dogs that need a little extra help on the daily.
“Claire was great! She was timely with her visits and Nico loves her. She made my life so much easier not having to run home in the middle of the day to feed our pup. Have already booked her again!”

We had a wonderful experience with Mya. She took great care of our dogs and cat while we were away. She was always on time, followed all our care instructions perfectly, and sent wonderful picture updates that gave us total peace of mind. We came home to happy and relaxed pets. We cannot recommend Mya enough and will definitely hire her again.

Kelsey was such a wonderful sitter to have for our dog! She's very communicative and made sure to update us everyday on our dog's status with pictures and videos. We felt very safe and secure knowing we had her as a sitter, as she's very kind and makes our dog comfortable. Kelsey is also very punctual and was never late to taking our dog on nice, long walks and making sure he ate on time. Overall, it was great to have someone like her watch our dog!

Emily is amazing all around!! Katy my 12 year old Shih Tzu absolutely loves her and always looks forward to seeing her when she comes each day for her mid-day walk and fun. She's very prompt, courteous, and flexible. Her daily reports are so nice and sweet including the pics she takes. I couldn't have asked for a better person to walk and care for Katy.

Steve & Kara were reliable & friendly. I truly appreciated when they took Elio on longer walks & stayed for the full hour time of booking. Got lots of cute pictures and Elio seemed well taken care of & happy while I was away. Would recommend to anyone looking to for a dog sitter, they did great!

My dog is a bit of a challenge. He is really timid, and it takes him time to get used to people. Rani won him over quickly and took good care of him. Her communication was great, and she gave a lot of details about each of her visits. I would highly recommend her for your pet sitting needs.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Ypsilanti with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
