Christine really cares about the pets she watches and treats them just like her own. Would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who is friendly, prompt, and keeps you up to date!

TL;DR christine does not have time for your pet christine will ignore your instructions christine seemed like a competent, responsible lady at our M&G, with good rover reviews, so it's not as if i ignored raging red flags i have two cats. i like them to have a little company when i am away, so i booked christine for house sitting. the booking started at 4pm on friday and ended at 7pm sunday. my expectation is not someone who stays there 24/7, i know i'm not paying enough for that. my expectation is someone who stays the night and has at least a little time during the day to play with them and brush them, etc. if you're a sitter who can't do this, it's ok, just turn down the booking. i left for the weekend at 7:30am friday. 7:30am-4pm is already a long time for my cats, because i work remote, so they are now used to me being home most of the time. i fed them can food at 7 in the morning and left dry food for the day and thought it would be fine i didn't learn until multiple texts that christine was working until 8:30pm. she could have told me earlier she wouldn't be able to start at the time specified in the booking but i had to drag it out of her. by friday afternoon, when she shared that she worked til 8:30pm, it was too late for me to find an alternative or ask my very busy neighbor if she could help last-minute christine did not show up at 8:30 though. she did not show up until 3am, and i only know this because i asked her to text when she arrived no matter how late it was. by then my cats had been alone for almost 20 hours with only a bowl of dry food intended to tide them over for 8 hours the pictures she texted me at 3am included one of my big cat's dish to which she had added the small cat's dry food. the big cat has his own dry food because he's a chonker. neither cat had gotten their can food dinner, still her reasons for not showing up until 3am included a co-worker whose mother died, and her own car breaking down, and having to let her dog out of course i am sympathetic if life throws you curveballs, i am not a monster. but if she had let me know in the first place that she would not be there at the start of the booking i could have called my neighbor. and if you don't have a reliable transportation maybe you shouldn't commit to keeping someone else's pets alive for days aside- if you have to let your dog out why are you doing a house sitting booking? idek when i finally i did call my neighbor, like 10am the next day, my neighbor noted that the only dish with food was the small cat's dry food chip feeder which only she can access. my big cat had no dry food. neither cat had gotten their can food christine showed up while my neighbor was there, and then texted me that the neighbor had fed the cats, but she, christine had already fed them at 6am. when i texted back that it was ok she replied that my big cat would get fatter if he kept getting fed. since i wasn't going to be back for another 36+ hours, i didn't want to be confrontational so i only said that it was ok if he got a little extra to eat for a weekend. but, it's wild to leave my cats for almost 20hrs and then tell me he's gonna get fat because someone fed him i have a google doc with all the instructions. they aren't hard. they are basic cat care and house care instructions like how to feed, what to feed, what to do with empty cans, where to take the trash bags out when you shovel cat boxes, etc. she did not follow any of it. i don't think she read it. did i run her thru the instructions before i booked her? yes, we had a meet & greet during which i showed her everything and she convinced me she was competent and responsible did i make the instructions available? yes, i emailed them to her at least once but i think twice, and i printed the doc and left it on the counter when i came home she had only used two cans of wet food, in a time frame that should have been five cans. the cans, with bits of food still in them, were festering in the kitchen trash can. don't want to rinse & recycle? whatever, but still take the cans out or they make the house stink. this instruction was ignored the cat box trash was never taken out, and the cat boxes were in a state when i came home, so if she shoveled in the 2 days she actually showed up, she only did it once or twice this was a house sitting booking! christine did not spend the night. she dashed in, threw my small cat's dry food into both cats' dishes, and left. she was barely here. my neighbor had to take time out of her day with her kids and their activities to come by and pick up the slack. but my neighbor is not my cat sitter

I had Christine help me inject a family members diabetic cat that I was cat sitting for. She is amazing! She accomplishes in five minutes what it took me an hour and 20 minutes to do worse. It is smooth as silk. She’s very kind, communicative, promptly on time, offers help in other ways, has great suggestions. I highly recommend her!
