I love dogs and cats, and have one cat of my own. :) I currently care for family and friends pets when they are out of town, but would love to add a few more pets to my schedule for boarding/drop-ins or walks. I am a graduate student at Wayne State, so I do have classes Monday-Friday. Outside of those hours, I’m available for visits, walks, and check-ins. My weekends are somewhat flexible, allowing me to provide more extended care, drop-ins, or multiple visits as needed. I’m especially happy to help with dog walking, whether it’s part of your pet’s daily routine or if you just need an extra hand. If getting your dog out for a walk has become difficult, I’m more than willing to step in and make sure they still get the exercise, fresh air, and attention they need. I aim to be reliable, flexible, and accommodating so your pet’s care fits seamlessly into both of our schedules. When caring for pets in their own homes, my goal is to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I know how important it is for pets to stay in a familiar environment, so I take the time to follow your instructions closely, whether that’s feeding schedules, walk routines, medication, or favorite playtime activities. I approach every home with respect and every pet with patience. Some pets love attention and play, while others prefer a calm, quiet presence, and I’m very comfortable adjusting to both. I make sure your pet feels safe, cared for, and comfortable while you’re away. I also keep you updated with regular check-ins so you can feel confident knowing your pet (and your home) are in good hands. My goal is to provide dependable, thoughtful care that gives you peace of mind and keeps your pet happy in the place they know best.

About: I have two cats and grew up with many animals including dogs, bunnies, reptiles, insects, and fish. My cats have had numerous health issues and I’m comfortable administering medications or doing special care with tough babies! I also worked in an animal research lab where we managed care for farm animals around the clock. I am a graduate student, so my schedule is fairly flexible. Taking care of pets helps me take a break and helps you ensure your pet is getting what they need while you are gone! I have two cats at home, so I am not able to care for other cats, dogs, or pets in my home at this time unfortunately.

“Ally has been an absolute blessing. My original sitter had a scheduling conflict for about a week and I was fortunate Ally was available to fill in. I'd actually considered her to be the original sitter but the only reason I didn't was because I managed to find a sitter who was in the same apartment complex as me, which gave me peace of mind in case my pet had any emergencies. The initial meet and greet went very smoothly. She brought a notebook and I felt like a professor as she took notes while I explained the care duties. She was diligent with her questions and, during the visits, I never found myself having to repeat any of the instructions I'd given. My cat (who took almost a year to warm up to me) warmed up to her within minutes, which totally didn't make me jealous. It's always a plus when your pet gives you the greenlight. I chose the 60-min visit option and I know it can get repetitive and boring doing the same things every visit but she showed absolutely no signs of an "I'm just here for a paycheck" attitude. Her Rover cards always contained detailed descriptions of my cat's eating and bathroom habits, as well as his general demeanor and what they both did during the visits. And the pictures wouldn't just be the same pose shot from different angles either. All in all, she took care of my boy as if he were her own, which is honestly all I'd hoped for. As she's only a block away from me, she's definitely my first choice if I ever need a sitter again.”
