“I was very apprehensive when booking for the first time. My regular cat sitter was unavailable, when I saw Lauren's profile and reviews she seemed perfect. She was perfect!! After meeting her face-to- face before my 2 week trip and communicating before, I felt better. However, during my trip receiving daily updates and pictures eased my mind totally! My senior cat adjusted to Lauren beautifully. My worry was completely gone which allowed me to enjoy my trip even more. Thank you, Lauren!!”

“Jenny is great! When I initially reached out she was quick to respond and to set up a meet and greet with me and our pup. Since then I have scheduled two drop-ins with her. She has showed up on time and given me a thorough description of how her visits went (including adorable pictures!). She makes me feel completely comfortable when I can't be there for our pup and Ill definitely be reaching out to her again.”

“Evelyn was absolutely amazing! She was so patient and kind to my pup, Louie. She allowed my dog to get adjusted to her and sent constant updates to me! I am so grateful to have found Evelyn and will be asking for her help for all things Louie in the future!”

“Stephanie is truly the best. We have no worries about our two kitties or our place. We booked her for two weeks months ago and she is worth it! She always sends photos and helpful check in messages. She plays with our active young cats which we also really appreciate as they are very social. If you ever need anyone to watch over cats for a short or long period of time, Stephanie is the best and right choice! We will be booking her again in the future.”

“Corriane took such great care of my cats! She’s wonderful! The updates were great and let me know they were well cared for. She also managed to get my more timid cat to come out for attention.”
“Christina did an amazing job of bonding with my cat. It gave me enormous reassurance while I was traveling to know he was being well cared for. Thanks a million Christina. You're at the top of my list when I'm traveling in the future.”

“Carissa dropped-in on my cats twice each day while I was out of town for a week. She is flexible to changes in routine (my cats are slowly learning to coexist) and communicates their daily activities well through written descriptions and images. She is well attuned to each cats likes and needs. She remembers their favorite games between visits and can even tell when Violet needs a break from Saber. I appreciate knowing my cats are well cared for when I am away. Another very positive experience with Carissa!”

About: Due to my mom being a vet, there has always been a pet (usually three of them!) in our house. Because of that I have loved and taken care of animals my whole life, so much so that I even work at a dog bakery where we make human grade treats! (Don't tell my other coworkers, but bambam the shop dog is too sweet not to be my favorite!) I currently work part time most mornings, so I am available before 10am and in the afternoon to make sure your fur baby gets the love they need! I am currently offering drop-in checkins and walks depending on your needs. Whether your pet needs to be fed, walked, played with, given meds, or just needs to stretch their legs, I am perfect for the job. If there is anything else more specific your animal needs, don't hesitate to share! Your pets happiness and comfort is my goal!
“Molly is truly the sweetest cat sitter anyone could ask for! My husband and i were out of town for months, and knowing my cats were in her care gave me complete peace of mind. She made the entire experience completely stress-free. She treated my cats as if they were her own, giving them so much love, attention, and care. Every single day, she kept us updated with messages, photos, and videos, letting us know how they were doing and if anything came up. Her communication was amazing, and it meant so much to us to stay connected with our babies while we were away. Molly is reliable, kind, patient, and genuinely cares about the animals she looks after. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. If you’re looking for someone you can fully trust with your pets, I wholeheartedly recommend Molly. She is simply the best, and I will absolutely book her again! We love you molly❤️”

About: My name is Shannon and I am currently a teacher that has summers off and I love spending time with my one year old golden retriever and cat. I’ve had 3 big dogs and am able to handle them on walks and help reinforce commands from owners. I am a teacher and am off for the summer so my day is pretty flexible. I have a one year old golden retriever so I walk him 2x a day but am available throughout the week. I care for my animals by offering them pets, cuddles, make sure they have clean water and food and time to play and nap.i also walk my dog twice a day and have walked and watched other larger dogs. I know cats can by shy with new people and I realize I will need to be patient your cat trusts me.
About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was 9. I’ve had pets of all kinds including turtles, cats, lizards, frogs, fish, praying mantis, butterflies, and more along with plenty of dog sitting. I love animals and I plan to go into zoology and work with animals full time at a zoo or animal sanctuary or conservancy. I can’t wait to watch your animals :) I’m not working this summer so I’m free most of the time. I do have personal training Monday and Thursday at 4:00pm and physical therapy Tuesday and Friday around 2:00pm and they are an hour each. I can care for your pets in whatever way you need me to. I prefer detailed instructions and I will follow whatever routine you want me to as closely as possible.

“Lillian did a great job looking after my two cats (and my outdoor plants!) My cats immediately liked her and were so happy to see her each day, my girl cat is very picky about people but had no problem around Lillian. We had heavy rain while I was out of town and she did a great job caring for my plants and making sure they got enough water but not too much. Will definitely be booking with her again in the future!”

About: I’m a pet lover! Dogs, cats, bunnies, ferrets—I love them all. I’ve had pets my whole life and been trusted by many friends to care for their best friends for years. I stop by before and after my 9-5 and will have lots of time to play with and care your fur baby! My weekends are super flexible if an extra visit is needed midday. My own fur babies have their quirks and eccentricities, so I’m skilled in learning what works best with your pet. A typical visit will include outside exercise, feeding/watering, indoor play, and all the love I can give!
“Celia was absolutely wonderful with our dog, Lucy! She went above and beyond to ensure she was happy and cared for while we were away. She sent updates and photos each time she came to watch her, and we felt very comfortable and relaxed knowing Lucy was in good hands. We can’t thank Celia enough for all she did!”

“Emily did a great job of taking care of our dog while we were gone for the week. She took her for walks and went above and beyond to make sure she had good company while we were away. It was a relief to know our dog was in such good hands and we would definitely book Emily again!”

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I’ve been surrounded by dogs since I was born and have experience with all kinds of breeds, from small lap dogs to large, high-energy dogs. I’ve also grown up with cats and currently have cats of my own, so I’m comfortable caring for both. I know every pet has their own personality and routine, and I take the time to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I’ll care for your pets the same way I care for my own—with patience, attention, and lots of affection. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because spending time with animals is something I genuinely enjoy. I work a flexible schedule and do my best to accommodate each pet’s routine, whether that means walks, feeding, playtime, medication, or simply keeping them company. I understand how important consistency is, and I’ll always communicate with you to ensure your pet receives the best care possible. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I always follow each owner’s instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medications, exercise, and any special care needs. I take the time to earn each pet’s trust and make sure they feel safe and comfortable in their own home. I’ll also keep you updated with messages and photos so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
