“I can't say enough about Cassandra and Christopher's care for my pup. They always go above and beyond, making sure she is comfortable and loved. Faye had some stomach issues and they did everything they could to help her and get her feeling better. They make me feel so confident while being away and your animal(s) will have new humans they consider family after booking them.”

“Kristina is the absolute best with my dogs. I used her M-Th for months and just backed down to when needed, only due to niece moving in and her ability to let the dogs out during the day. I catch myself still sending her pics of the pups because I know they miss her. She sends updates and pics at every visit. She does extras for them as well as gifting toys that I know they love. If you're looking for someone extremely reliable and trustworthy, look no further. She is fantastic.”

“First time needing someone that wasn’t family to watch my girl, Jennifer made me feel so confident that she was being taken very well care of! She was thorough, kind, easy and quick to communicate with, and met all of my cats wants and needs! Thank you Jennifer!!”

“Rhonda was excellent at taking care of Winston and Reina and went above and beyond! I would recommend her to anyone looking for someone to care for their fur babies 😊”

About: Hello~ I’m Olivia! I’ve been around dogs most of my life (since I was a baby!), and now that I’m on my own, I really feel the animal-shaped hole in my heart. As I don’t currently have any pets due to my circumstances, I still want to have that connection and joy you get from the pure love of a dog. I can promise if you trust me with your paw-ed family member, I will treat them as my own. I understand the difficulties dogs may have as they get older, and have experience with giving pills, cleaning up after accidents, and monitoring gait and health concerns. Each dog is special with their own needs and I am familiar with dogs with stomach issues and licking disorders, like the Shiba Inu and mixed breeds. If you need someone to follow specific directions, I have experience in technical jobs and have been lauded for my attention to detail. It is always so important to find someone that will properly care for your furry family member as they are not able to advocate for themselves. I do work full-time during the week, but have a decently flexible schedule and can stop in early in the morning, around lunchtime, and after work. I am also available on the weekends for those on vacation or needing assistance getting walks in! I understand it can be incredibly difficult to trust someone in your space, but I treat people’s spaces and pets how I would want mine treated. I believe coming to the pet in an environment they are familiar with can make it easier to develop trust and friendship, which are my goals for a happy pet-sitter relationship!

“Ray is the man!! He was great with both my cat and my silly lab. Being an ocean away from home was worrisome, but Ray made it easier on all of us, by keeping my fur-babies well cared for, and keeping me and my family aware of how they were doing. I have nothing I can say, but thank you!! =)”

About: Hi! My name is Paris, and I have a strong background working with animals in both customer service and veterinary settings. I currently work as a veterinary receptionist, where I interact with pets and their owners daily and help ensure they receive attentive, compassionate care. I’ve always loved animals and understand that every pet has a unique personality and needs. Whether your dog is energetic and playful or prefers a calm, structured routine, I’m happy to adapt to what makes them feel safest and happiest. I’m responsible, communicative, and detail-oriented. I take pet safety seriously and will always treat your dog like family. You can expect regular updates, photos, and peace of mind while you’re away. I look forward to meeting you and your furry best friend! Pet care fits into my daily schedule, saying that I have my own two, pet care starts as soon as i wake and ends when they wind down. Though i do have a helping hand, so ill be able to tend to other felines and fidos on my days off. I take care of pets as soon as the sun rises, we start with morning potty, feeding and then we relax and go for a walk then we let the day takeover and play, maybe a car ride until dinner time. I ensure my pets are safe anyway i can, doggy seat belts, booties on hot days, safety collar/recall for off leash walks and watching out for their surroundings on and off leash.
“I was so nervous about leaving my senior cat in the hands of someone else as she is very picky. And usually has choice words for strangers. Chelsea instantly eased my anxieties. She did a meet n greet which I thought was so kind. My cat instantly liked her (which is not usual for her!) Not only did Chelsea do the drop-in perfectly but she even was patient enough for my other skiddish cat to come out of hiding. And she sent plenty of pictures that gave me even more relief on my vacation. She even brought our packages in from the porch! I appreciate her and would definitely book her services again! 10/10 recommend!”

“Sarah always goes above and beyond for my cat and myself. She is always looking out for my senior furbaby's wellbeing. I can tell that she is kind, and genuinely cares about the animals she looks after. I am so grateful to have found her.”

“I highly recommend Debi from my experience of having an older dog and the amazing care she provided! Debi is so kind and thoughtful, she was available last minute to take care of my older dog while I was out of town and I had such a sense of ease and safety trusting her with him!”

“I’ve had Brittany watch my three kittens twice now and she has been very communicative and flexible with bookings. Always provides updates and pictures of drop-in visits and spends about 30 mins petting and playing with the kittens each visit in addition to food, water, and the litterbox.”

“Phyllippa is really great with Lilly. I really appreciate the detailed report she puts together about my fur baby—it means a lot. I can tell that Lilly truly misses her when we don’t have a scheduled visit. Thank you again for being so kind and caring with my dog!”

“Shaune took very good care of my dog and cat! She was very thorough and spent lots of time with them. She also communicated with me frequently and sent lots of photos. I highly recommend Shaune!”

“Celia was my first ever Dogsitter/Rover experience. I was anxious leaving my dog behind because I didn’t know what to expect — from hiring a sitter or from my Leo. But Celia calmed those nerves at our meet and greet. Seeing how quickly Leo fell in love with her made me feel confident that he was in good hands. With each visit, I knew when she arrived and when she left. I received photos and videos of my boy enjoying his snuggles and eating. Communication was a breeze! And her level of flexibility also helped. I’m so grateful to have found Celia and couldn’t recommend her more!! I’ll definitely be tapping her again for any future needs.”

“Alyson is truly a dog person. She was awesome with Missy. She followed my instructions for her and went above and beyond caring for her. I ran out of her premium dog food, and Alyson brought some to replace it while I was gone, which was so thoughtful of her and Missy was so grateful for that. I am looking forward to having Alyson back to care from Missy again. I feel very comfortable, leaving her in her care.”

“Bethany wasn't in the house more than five minutes before my cat Karma was trying to crawl in her lap! I could tell how much she loves cats and that she would take great care of mine. And she did! Would highly recommend!”

“Was very helpful looking in on our cats while we were on vacation. Also was kind about our “smart”lock having issues. She brought in our package and trash cans without being asked. Would definitely rebook again!”
“Emily did an amazing job. She arrived early, spent extra time giving our senior dog attention with lots of belly rubs. She is very knowledgeable and her love of dogs shows. I will definitely hire her again.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Livonia
This was our first time booking with Rhonda and she exceeded all of our expectations! She sent lots of photos and detailed updates after every drop in which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. She always made sure to include pictures of all our cats, and even put in the extra effort to try and get a photo of our very shy boy, which meant so much to us. She treated our kitties and our home as hers and I appreciated it so much. When we got home, we were surprised to find that she had left us a sweet picture frame with all three of our babies in it. It was such a thoughtful and unexpected gesture that really showed how much she cares. We could tell our pets were well loved and looked after and we wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again. We highly recommend her!

Chelsea was kind enough to take our last minute request to catsit our family of furbabies which we greatly appreciated! She was very communicative throughout, including the meet and greet and the actual catsitting. We will definitely be asking for her services in the future!

We’ve had such a great experience with Elizabeth. She’s prompt, kind, and overall amazing to work with. Our senior cat needs medication, and she handles it so well. She provides updates and has given us so my relief knowing our cat is in great hands. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter.

Great experience working with Abigail! Even though we haven’t met in person yet, communication has been excellent.. very prompt, clear, and professional. She was easy to coordinate with and have made me feel confident and comfortable about my cats’ upcoming care.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Livonia. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
