“Rohit was great ! My partner and I felt safe leaving our baby in his hands for visits. First time leaving our baby in our home, was nervous and scared and Rohit made us feel like we made the right decision.”

“We highly recommend Sarah. She communicated with us all the time and sent photos. Most of all she was so accommodating when we ran into issues with our travel plans. We will definitely use her again if she's available”

“Theresa was awesome. She made sure our fur baby was taken care of, and we greatly appreciate her communication, kindness, and professionalism. Highly recommend her!”

“My boyfriend and I have never left our cats before. We haven't taken a trip since adopting them and it was definitely overdue. Finding Lydia was truly luck and fate because she is an angel! She was always on time and made sure they were taken care of. She sent beautiful pictures while watching them. Our cats looked so happy and comfortable around her. You can tell they also appreciated her kind heart and animal expertise :) My boyfriend and I are actually comfortable going on future vacations now that we have found Lydia. I would definitely recommend her for all your pet's needs. We will definitely book her again!”

I have experience with all essential needs including walking, feeding, and play time. I also have experience with basic grooming services such as bathing and brushing. I'm currently working part-time and have a fairly flexible schedule to fit your needs. I can be available on short notice including early mornings and late nights. I abide strictly by the pet parents instructions and rules, you know your pet best! I'm happy to play with your pup, go on leashed walks, and can crate them if needed.

“Alexi was wonderful! She and River got along great, she was on time and communicative for every visit, overall a lovely and reassuring experience that eased our minds while we were away! Plus, the pics were adorable! Highly recommend!”

“Cammi did a great job taking care of KiKi and the house! Unfortunately, KiKi wouldn't come out for attention (no surprise). KiKi did come out for her dinner after Cammi left. Cammi dealt with a broken hose spraying all over, watered plants, and brought in packages. I wiil definitely hire her again. Kathleen”

“We had such a great experience! She took amazing care of our cats while we were away and gave us complete peace of mind. Her communication was excellent—she kept us updated with messages and photos, which we really appreciated. It was obvious she genuinely cared about our cats and treated them with so much kindness and love. We came home to happy, well-cared-for kitties, and we couldn’t have asked for a better cat sitter. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone reliable, caring, and communicative!”

“Lauren was EXCELLENT! Sometimes when I'm not home my little old lady dog refuses to eat, but Lauren got her to eat almost her full bowl every meal! And, bless her heart, I'm worried about letting my dogs out at night because of a skunk in my yard... Lauren went out there every night with the flashlight and made noise to scare the skunk away. She truly went above and beyond! She is very knowledgeable about animals of all kinds and she was super sweet. My dogs absolutely loved her. We will definitely be booking her again. Thank you Lauren!”

“Melanie was terrific with my 2 year old German Shepard pitbull mix. She was great with communication and pictures. Would highly recommend and will be reaching out to her again!”

“Merritt did an amazing job caring for my 2 cats! She made sure not only that they had fresh water, food and litter but also ensured the space remained tidy and spent extra time playing and giving them lots of love while I was gone. She consistently went above and beyond on communication daily, making sure to send photos, ask questions and respond promptly to my random anxious messages as it was hard to be apart from my girls! Highly recommend Merritt if you are looking for someone who not only provides excellent care but goes above and beyond!”

“Lauren did a fantastic job caring for our cats! I can see they were well fed and played with while we were away. Lauren was very communicative and treated our home with care. I highly recommend her!”

“Andrew and Holly were fantastic! As first time Rover users, we were a little nervous and unsure as to how the whole process worked, but after we met with them we knew they would take great care of our fur baby! We really appreciated the detailed Rover Cards and photos after each visit. Definitely recommend Andrew and Holly!”

“NIck is the BEST! SO flexible and accomodating with last minute change of plans and needs due to work. He went up and beyond, my very active 1-year old lab was happy and tired form playing - even though it was raining/storming outside and they couldn't go for a walk. Ryder had a little attitude when I got home, like "So I have my own friends now, and I'm very cool". Too funny.”

About: I have had pets pretty much my entire life so I have plenty of experience, particularly with cats. My family is known as the neighbourhood pet sitters, watching dogs, cats, a hamster, and even a bearded dragon. I am a stay-at-home mom of older kids. That allows me plenty of flexibility to drop in for pet visits and dog walking as needed. Since I have my own vehicle, I can drop in easily to check on your baby (or babies). I love taking long walks, so if you have a dog who loves to walk, I am happy to go along for the ride.

This is our second time I’m using Madalyne to watch our three kitties. She watched them for three weeks while we went out of the country. Even our shy kitties warmed up to her and allowed her to actually pet them, which was amazing. She did a great job and we will definitely use her again.

Erin is a fantastic sitter for my kittens! She is friendly, knowledgeable, timely, and so good with animals. She is always quick to respond to messages and will go above and beyond to make sure you feel assured that your pets are happy and healthy. She also sent photos and videos, which I really appreciated, and left my house cleaner than I did! We can’t wait to book with Erin again!!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Farmington Hills. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
