“I just returned home and it usually takes Lola some time to warm up to me, she came right out and has been calm. I loved how Felisha contacted me and even took photos of Lola. Thank you so much, Felisha!”

“Mackenzie was amazing! We are new to the area and I was a little concerned having someone I never met come over while we were gone. She was so professional and did great with our very shy cat. Usually he won't even come out for people but we could see him waiting for her on the camera, it was so sweet. We will definitely book with her again.”

“Theresa was an excellent cat sitter! She was reliable and provided great communication and updates. My cat adored her and appreciated all the pets and TLC. I would not hesitate to book her again.”

“We highly recommend Sarah. She communicated with us all the time and sent photos. Most of all she was so accommodating when we ran into issues with our travel plans. We will definitely use her again if she's available”

About: I've had animals all my life- 3 cats, 2 dogs, 1 guinea pig, 3 hermit crabs, and numerous fish. I now also cat sit for my neighbor and friends when they go on vacations or trips ranging from a day to a week. I make sure I spend lots of time with their furry friends so they don't get lonely and they get the care they need. I am currently in college and working part-time (usually mornings on Thursdays and on Fridays), but my schedule allows me for ample time to check in on the furry buddies on my available days or the nighttime. I love to give my animals lots of cuddles and kisses. I make sure to give them long amounts of pets and love. If a storm is going on, I always make sure to turn on calming animal music and talk them through it. I treat animals like they are people and someone who needs care and love.
“Thank you so much Angela! We were nervous going out of town for the first time after adopting Zilla, but you put our worries right at ease. We really appreciated the meet-and-greet, all of the communication, and the photos! We’ll definitely be reaching out again next time we’re taking a trip. :)”

About: I have been a dog owner for a majority of my life and I have done what ever is needed to take care of them. I will feed, play, bathe, walk, give medicine, and take outside to potty. Essentially whatever is asked for me I will do. I currently volunteer with therapy dogs in a hospital and I love it! Would love to bring my skills and passion to animal owners every where. I do work full time however, weekends I am free including Friday evening and I know that may be hard to get as people travel on the weekend. I live in a safe and dog friendly neighborhood! I have a big home they can explore in. I truly watch the animals as when they move I move.
About: Since the age of nine, my life has been enriched by a diverse array of pets, including turtles, frogs, rabbits, dogs, and cats. This extensive experience has equipped me with a profound understanding of animal care. I pride myself on tailoring my approach to each creature, relying on their unique body language and behavior cues to ensure their well-being and happiness. I am happy to be of service to you and provide the best care! Pet care is the first thing I will start with in the morning and the last thing I end with within the day. I can work flexible full-time hours almost any day except when my one college class is in person. My number one thing when caring for our furry friends is to make sure that they are comfortable. I believe when an animal is comfortable they thrive in their environment.

“Nicole is the pet sitter we have been searching for. She genuinely cares for our two cats and always gives them 100% attention during the drop-in visits. Our furbabies are very well taken care of and happy. They have fun with her and trust her as well. Nicole also takes such cute pictures and many of them, making the time away from our cats easier.”

“Ana was very responsive and extremely easy to communicate with. She kept us updated at all times and took exceptionally good care of our fur babies! I highly recommend Ana and would not hesitate to use her again!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - West Bloomfield Township
Miykhayah did a fantastic job caring for my cats! She fed them, played with them, kept the litter boxes clean, and gave them lots of love. She was communicative, responsible, and trustworthy. Best of all she kept my kitties happy while I was away! I do recommend her and I would use her again.

Arielle was AMAZING! She went above and beyond in every aspect and took fantastic care of my two cats. I have had several sitters for them before and she is the first that truly spent time getting to know them and their personalities. Her daily updates and pictures always made me smile and I knew they were getting the love and attention they needed while I was away. I have a scaredy cat that usually hides under the bed when we have visitors, but not this time, she loved Arielle. If you are looking for somebody that will treat your pets and your home with the utmost love and attention, look no further!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in West Bloomfield Township. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
