I am currently pursuing my bachelors degree and am in my final year. I have a lot of free time which I am able to help in caring for their animals. I do have classes from 5-7:30pm on Monday and Wednesday and then from 12-7:30pm on Thursdays. I will be around until the summer in 2026 and will then be moving to Grand Rapids. I would love to be able to help with taking care of pets while others may not be able to. I absolutely love to help out and make sure the pets are able to get the care that they deserve.

When I have previously helped with family and friends pets I have always made sure to have some kind of instructional set up of what they would like to be done if I am watching the animal in their house to make sure that I am covering what the owner would typically do. I try to make sure to keep up with the routine that has been set up for the animal already and make sure that they feel comfortable with me as well as making sure they are feeling safe and cared for.

If there are any behaviors that I should know about ahead of time it would be great to know. I do not judge based on these behaviors, but I would like to be prepared. If a dog is aggressive I would like to know prior and know if there is something that I can do in order to reduce that aggression, otherwise, I just enjoy hearing a little info about the pets and meeting with them if you're comfortable with that.

I tend to try to do what the owners would typically do. I love to take dogs that I'm watching for walks and make sure that they are getting physical activity in. I also do think that it is important to play with them if we're not able to go out to get some of their energy out. It is dependent on the dog that I am with and their energy levels.
