Extra love to give to all pets!
I’ve loved animals all my life and will forever provide a space for them in my home. For approximately 5 years I worked at a local no-kill animal shelter, starting off as a volunteer and working my way to surgical staff and lead kennel staff. In this role I provided hygiene, training, socialization, enrichment, medications, and feeding to dogs and cats from newborns to seniors, healthy and ill or disabled alike. This included fostering dogs and cats while caring for my own three cats. I have been trained in oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intravenous medications.

This is our fourth time booking with McKenna. This time she watched are pets at our home for an extended stay and we are so grateful for her. She took such great care of them, and was very respectful of our space as well. She is such a thoughtful individual and our pets love being with her 💙

McKenna did a great job! Our pup is a bit of a nervous nelly, which in turn makes me a bit nervous to leave her but McKenna communicated with me and put me right at ease. Our dog even ended up loving her and snuggling her at night!
McKenna is such a caring pet sitter and individual. I can always rest assured my pets are loved and well taken care of. She was even kind of enough to help us when our flight was cancelled and we ended up needing some last minute additional pet care.
McKenna did a great job watching over my dogs for the weekend. She's very responsive and sent many pictures to keep me up to date with them. I'll definitely be booking her again in the future!

Calendar and availability
Schedule
I am currently working in a health clinic with typical hours roughly 8a-5p, but do sometimes have to work late. I will always communicate if that happens but this just means my timing is not always exact. I recognize this could be a difficult schedule to work around but if I am a fit for you or your animals I would love to be of help to you! I live in the Canton area but work in Novi, and can be available generally in both areas.
Where your pet will stay
Safety, trust & environment
My current place is dog and cat friendly, with an extra bedroom for animals to decompress if need be. I do not have a fenced in yard but have open grass in the back and plenty of walking trails nearby that I love to go on. I am happy to have animals on furniture, sleeping in bed, etc so long as their owner is agreeable, but am happy to use a crate or play pen if that is their usual. I do not get bothered by needing frequent potty breaks or if the occasionally accident occurs inside. All animals will be treated as if they’re my own, with respects to their owners preferences and what the animal is used to.
Pets
A typical day
I love morning and afternoon walks right after work on the trails near me with plenty of fun areas to play and sniff at. If they’re good with cats they’ll have three furry friends to play with at my home, but otherwise I’ll plan for plenty of enrichment toys, training, and relaxing with me.
