“10000/10!✨ getting married in another state, gone for 4 days & 4 cats, plus one who medicated twice a day & she was there everyday, updates with tons of photos, she’s so sweet & made me feel so relaxed leaving all my babies with her. I would highly recommend her 🤍 I will be using her again”

“Debi was amazing with Bruce! He has a lot of abandonment issues that stress him out when we go away, but with Debi he felt right at home. She does a great job and we will be happy to hire her again!”

“Madeleine D. is our first choice when we leave town. They are always very good to our dogs and treats them as their own. I will always book with Madeleine for those reasons and more. 15 out of 10!”

About: I grew up having dogs in my home and in my family. I’m experienced in caring for dogs that are diabetic or pre diabetic. I will care for your fur babies like they’re my own and make them feel at home. They will get plenty love and attention while they are in my care. I currently work on Monday through Thursday and at home on Fridays. I will always make sure your fur baby is cared for as directed. I have a fenced in yard and we will also go on walks. I like to get dogs out even if we go for treats.
About: After recently losing our two beloved fur babies back-to-back due to old age, our home has felt much quieter. We truly miss the love, companionship, and joy that pets bring each day, and we would be honored to care for your furry family members as if they were our own. Because I’m home full-time, your pets will receive plenty of attention, supervision, snuggles, and personalized care throughout the day. From hourly potty breaks and daily walks to playtime, cuddles, and a calm, loving environment, their comfort and happiness are my top priority. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pets, and I promise to provide a safe, loving home where they’ll feel welcomed, cared for, and treated like family every step of the way. I do work from home so I’m able to provide multiple breaks at all times of the day! If your pet is on a certain schedule please let me know. Your pup is my pup when in my care! They’re allowed to lounge on furniture and cuddle with me! They’ll feel right at home. Your pet will feel loved!

“Alexi was wonderful! She and River got along great, she was on time and communicative for every visit, overall a lovely and reassuring experience that eased our minds while we were away! Plus, the pics were adorable! Highly recommend!”

About: I have owned several dogs in the past. I also started walking dogs at 16, teaching one puppy to walk on a leash without pulling! I am currently off work for the summer so most days I’ll be free to walk or drop in to check on animals. I would prefer 8am-7pm I can watch dogs in your home. I am available to play or walk dogs! I also available to drop in to feed or check on animals.
About: I grew up with dogs, so caring for them is second nature to me. I am able to do basic grooming as well as bathing! I helped raise my family's current dog, taking her on walks as well as training her. I am not a certified trainer, but I had fun training her and found it relatively easy! I have experience with both large/extra large dogs as well as small dogs, with varying activity levels. I am currently home from college for summer break. I have church on Sunday mornings as well as karate Monday evenings, but other than that I am free to care for your fur babies! I am open and willing to adapt to the needs of your fur babies to the best of my ability. I have experience with fenced in yards and e-collars/invisible fences.

About: Hello! My name is Kristin and I’ve loved and cared for dogs since I was a child. I grew up with Bouvier Des Flanders (160 lbs dogs) and currently have 2 dogs, a larger Goldendoodle and a medium Goldendoodle. I use to have a Chocolate lab and a lab/chow mix as well. I have dog sat for many years for large breeds and for doggies as small as a Cockapoo. I have worked with the Humane Society “pawsitive start” program where I helped train dogs basic commands in order to find their forever homes. My home also has a large fenced backyard. I absolutely love dogs and I am comfortable around all breeds. I work part time in the orthodontic field so my schedule is pretty flexible. I would love to get to know your dog and will treat them as if they were my own.

“Jennifer is one in a million. We left our cat with my elderly mom for 3 months while we were in Florida. Jennifer made weekly visits to look in on Maizy. My mom looked forward to each and every visit and I'm happy to say they became friends. Jennifer is extremely kind and efficient. We had no worries about mom taking care of Maizy while we were gone. I would highly recommend her to anyone.”

“Erin was so good with Faye! I felt very comfortable being away knowing she was coming by to take care of her. She was communicative and punctual. I would highly recommend hiring Erin to take care of your pets!”

About: I’ve been an animal lover for as long as I can remember and have experience caring for pets for friends, family, and neighbors. I regularly help take care of my neighbor’s dog, including feeding, walking, playing, and making sure they feel loved and comfortable. I also volunteer with animal shelters whenever I can because I truly enjoy being around animals. I’m very patient, energetic, and attentive to each pet’s unique needs, and I love spending time outdoors on walks and keeping pets active and happy. As a student who also works, I often have gaps in my schedule during the early mornings and midday. I usually spend that time going on long walks or being active, so I thought, why not have a furry friend join me? I enjoy giving pets the attention, exercise, and companionship they need, and I’m happy to fit their routines into my day whenever possible. I understand that trusting someone with your pet is a big decision, and I take that responsibility seriously. I always prioritize your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine by following your instructions carefully and paying close attention to their needs. Whether we’re going for a walk, playing, or simply keeping each other company, I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away!
“Brittany did an excellent job watching our boys. She was very responsive before and during her in home visits. Very sweet with our boys and made sure we had updates on them. Very highly recommend her for watching your pets.”

About: I am retired, have no kids and we no longer have pets of our own. I would love the flexibility to look after your pet since I have the time, and want to stay active. We have a wonderful oasis and I would love for your pet to enjoy our home. We have owned cats of our own, have hired cat sitters many times and had dogs and cats growing up as kids. As a kid I frequently dog sat for our neighbors. Now I am most interested in dog walking, but happy to work with you for your dog-sitting and dog daycare needs. Looking forward to meeting you and your cherished pet and keeping them, and me, active while you are working, vacationing or running errands. I choose to provide pet care services as a continuation of my health journey. I love to take your dog for long walks and enjoy keeping dogs active in our fenced backyard. We have a fenced in yard. I am familiar with the dogs in the area in which I would walk your dog. I give positive affirmations to your animal if they are apprehensive when another dog is near.
“Jessica was great with our little Sadie while we were out of town for a weekend. She was confident, flexible, and cared for our dog just as if she were her own. We have never used a dog sitter before but having Jessica helped put all our worries to ease. Highly recommend and will reach out to her again when needed.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Redford
I can't say enough about Cassandra and Christopher's care for my pup. They always go above and beyond, making sure she is comfortable and loved. Faye had some stomach issues and they did everything they could to help her and get her feeling better. They make me feel so confident while being away and your animal(s) will have new humans they consider family after booking them.

Alyson is truly a dog person. She was awesome with Missy. She followed my instructions for her and went above and beyond caring for her. I ran out of her premium dog food, and Alyson brought some to replace it while I was gone, which was so thoughtful of her and Missy was so grateful for that. I am looking forward to having Alyson back to care from Missy again. I feel very comfortable, leaving her in her care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
