About: My very first job was starting a dog walking business with my sister and best friend when I was 13! I would walk up to two dogs at a time, feed them their meals, spend time with them while their owners were away, and play with them! I now have two of my own dogs that I adore and love spending time with. Throughout the years, my love for dogs and animals has only grown! I have been completing Rover services since May of 2026, and have fallen in love with it as a full-time job! I am available Monday through Friday, and the times are very flexible, as well as weekends as needed. I am looking to see more dogs weekly, so reach out to see if the times works! At my house, we have a fenced in yard, so my dogs roam freely. While on walks, they use a harness and a leash. I am comfortable with putting on all harnesses and prefer to walk a dog with a leash, but if the dog is trained well enough to not need one, I am comfortable with that as well.
About: Hi There! My name is Megan and I’m the kind of dog person who cheers for zoomies, applauds good sniffs, and treats every walk like a mini field trip. Big dogs, tiny dogs, goofy dogs—I adore them all and make sure they get exercise, fun, and plenty of happy tail wags. Looking forward to working with you! Working part-time allows me the time and freedom to walk your dog along with assisting with any check-ins that may be needed, ensuring that your pet is always taken care of! I provide safe, attentive, and joyful walks tailored to each dog’s needs. I make sure your pet gets plenty of exercise, positive interaction, fresh water, and a calm return home. I treat every dog with the same care and respect I give my own.
About: I’ve done several years of volunteer work at humane societies including the Paws n Claws Animal Shelter in Rochester, MN and the Berman Animal Center in Westland, MI, walking and socializing with dogs of all sorts of sizes and age groups. I have also had experience dogsitting quite a few times for friends, including once when watching three dogs at once successfully. I am a newly self-employed jack-of-all-trades with a first come, first serve schedule. The only times I’ll need to leave the house is for evenings when I have sports or performances, but I can gladly accommodate your schedule; I am very flexible! While my golden retriever lives with my parents and I have looked after him on my own several times, we keep our dog on a leash at all times and always keep an eye out on him. Pets in my house will have as much of my undivided attention as possible and will make sure they are taken care of and entertained and loved!
“Unbelievable service. On time. Flexible. Reliable & Trustworthy. Cleans my dogs paws when they get dirty from walks. Sophia usually doesnt take to strangers. She loves Kristina and gets excited when Kristina visits as if they were besties. Most importantly Kristina loves her and treats my dog is if Sophia were her own. Strongly recommend”

“Bill is an exceptional dog walker! He took such amazing care of my Cooper. First, he was so accommodating and flexible by walking my Cooper for 1.5 hours every day when no other dog walker offered more than 1-hour walks. Second, he sent me daily pictures of their walks, taking Cooper to parks and his favorite local spots, sending me a daily rover report card. If that wasn't enough, Bill had a procedure on his hand one day, and he still showed up for his walk with Cooper. I was okay with him skipping one day, but his response was "I'm committed to walking Cooper." I was beyond impressed, and I knew what an animal lover Bill is. Most importantly, Cooper absolutely adored him. He wouldn't even get out of bed until he arrived. Seeing their pictures together made me a little jealous, but I was so happy to see how happy he made my Cooper. Bill is a true animal lover and has a huge heart which was very important to me. I didn't want someone to just come and walk my dog. I wanted someone who would be a loving companion for Cooper, and he definitely was loved by Cooper. I highly recommend Bill for all of your animal care needs. I'm sure my Cooper misses him too. Thank you, Bill for taking such exceptional care of my family. You make such a positive difference with what you do!”

About: I’m a lifelong animal lover and caretaker. With my own animals in adulthood, I’ve found incredible joy building bonds with them through training and adventures. I enjoy learning from professional trainers and using their techniques to create a great relationship with animals. I have a flexible schedule right now with extra time for walks and drop-in visits both during the week and on weekends! If you’re unsure whether timing lines up with my calendar, don’t hesitate to ask. Pet safety is always top of mind for me. I’m conscientious about factors like temperature, escape opportunities, animal encounters, and unexpected food, glass, etc. I closely observe your pet’s behavior to track comfort and stress levels so I can adjust as needed.
“Sarah was really good with my dog and sent phot and detailed descriptions of how everything went on the walks. She came to the rescue last minute and walked him for me while I was away on vacation. He did really good with her except for always trying to get his collar on!”

About: I've had dogs in the house since I was born and have always been required to help take care of them. I started in the vet field a few years ago and have been a vet assistant ever since. I plan on becoming a veterinarian and love animals of all kinds! Chill and cuddly, moody, energetic, sassy! Whoever you have I'd love to meet and take care of them. I am a full time student currently and work part-time as well. Although I am busy I am constantly pet sitting for one of my coworkers and make time to stop by for potty breaks, feeding time and walks! I can work around your schedule and make sure that your pet gets everything they need. I can easily work with any sort of routine your animal may have and I always try my best to make sure your animal is as comfortable as can be! I can medicate animals and have no problem doing any minute tasks they may require.
About: Hello all! I am a huge animal lover and have been an avid volunteer at various shelters for many years. I have been a trusted sitter for many friends and family members, and have pets of my own who are very much part of my family. I have a great deal of experience with many different breeds, some positive reinforcement training experience, and some basic first aid/troubleshooting experience. I will always treat any animal within my care as my own, and take my responsibility of being trusted with someone's family member incredibly seriously. I work from home on a varied, part-time schedule. I plan to use the late morning/early afternoon hours when I am typically free to do walks and/or check-ins and can do overnights as needed when my schedule allows. Making sure there is not "people food" easily accessible to the pet when that's a concern, being mindful of small parts they may try to eat and choke on etc. Making sure the animal has enrichment activities to make it less likely they will chew on or destroy anything they aren't supposed to. Paying attention to notes on pet profiles, making myself aware of any concerns with cats/dogs/kids/food aggression etc. Being sure to lock & double check doors before bed or when leaving the property.
About: My first dog was a Collie when I was ten and I’ve been in love with animals ever since. We’ve fostered cats and dogs for a number of years. Currently we only have our rescued dogs and cats. We do watch friends and family pets when they are away. Also, I worked for a veterinarian for about four years. My husband and I are retired. I’m looking for something that offers me routine without long term commitment. I enjoy walking, and a dog just adds to the happiness. I have a fenced yard and three dogs and two cats. My pug eats in her crate, but she lets herself out when she’s finished. I have extra beds and crates, a comfy couch for your animals to lay on. All dogs must be potty trained and under 30lbs. On active flea preventive, up to date on vaccines.
About: I grew up on a farm around all sorts of animals and have learned how to take care of them with my family. I love all kinds of animals and have always had an easy time with animals. I work a hybrid schedule, so I am very frequently home and can help pet parents out with their pets needs. My schedule is pretty flexible. I live in a two story condo, with a basement. My home is pet friendly and pets are welcome on furniture and even on the bed.

She was incredibly sweet, patient, and understanding with my dog who has separation anxiety. She handled everything calmly, even when my dog pulled a bit, and was happy to let me walk my other dog with them. Overall a wonderful experience, and I’d happily recommend her!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
