About: I have always had a passion for animals throughout my childhood which is why I have devoted my studies towards animal science at the University of Michigan (& recent grad yay), Eventually I would like to attend Veterinary school elsewhere. I have been pet sitting for around 8-10 years, both big and small, along with having family pets of my own throughout my entire life. Once I was established in Ann Arbor I worked at a Doggy Day Care for one school year while also working at an Animal Hospital for over 3 years. I have learned a great deal of useful information throughout my time at the hospital as I held numerous positions including: CCS, Kennel Assistant, Prescription Assistant and Veterinary Assistant. I take great pride in being able to assist in the care of our animals and to be an advocate for their health when they are unable to. Every dog and cat I meet steals a little bit of my heart everytime I am with them. I work part-time at an animal hospital throughout the entire year and a student living on campus during the school year. My schedule is very flexible and always within a short radius of each other. I think it is important to listen to the needs of the pet as every pet is different. I am accommodating to each pet's needs and wants.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats for year and have enjoyed every minute of it. I have had dogs growing up ranging from large dogs to my current dog being a mini English bulldog who I adore so dearly. Over the years I’ve primarily done over night home sitting for days at a time and walking a consistent group of dogs. About: Growing up living with my mom, we always had 4 dogs and now I have 2 dogs! My wife rovers and I help her sometimes but figured I'd start my own account! This is fun and I enjoy it! “Ally has been an absolute blessing. My original sitter had a scheduling conflict for about a week and I was fortunate Ally was available to fill in. I'd actually considered her to be the original sitter but the only reason I didn't was because I managed to find a sitter who was in the same apartment complex as me, which gave me peace of mind in case my pet had any emergencies. The initial meet and greet went very smoothly. She brought a notebook and I felt like a professor as she took notes while I explained the care duties. She was diligent with her questions and, during the visits, I never found myself having to repeat any of the instructions I'd given. My cat (who took almost a year to warm up to me) warmed up to her within minutes, which totally didn't make me jealous. It's always a plus when your pet gives you the greenlight. I chose the 60-min visit option and I know it can get repetitive and boring doing the same things every visit but she showed absolutely no signs of an "I'm just here for a paycheck" attitude. Her Rover cards always contained detailed descriptions of my cat's eating and bathroom habits, as well as his general demeanor and what they both did during the visits. And the pictures wouldn't just be the same pose shot from different angles either. All in all, she took care of my boy as if he were her own, which is honestly all I'd hoped for.
